The professor smiled and said "Oh very well! Let's begin then. Today we will create a potion that will give the drinker an increased intellect. Does anyone know which potion I speak of?"

Ginger reflected for a moment. She wasn't very good with names, her memory betraying her at these times especially. She thought of all the potions, serums and elixirs she could think of. Raising her hand, she asked insecurely "Would that be the wit-sharpening potion, sir?" At least she knew that made the drinker able to think more clearly.

((I'm ditzy?!)) Miranda turned at the sound of her name and saw Mitsu, looking half asleep, was already seated. Miranda got on quite well with Mitsu, mainly owing to both girls friendships with Ginger. She walked over to her cheerfully and smiled "Heya Mitsu, how're you?" She would've said more but the professor started talking so she sat down promptly. She had no idea what potion he was talking about so merely waited for him to acknowledge Ginger's answer.

Trista ran into the classroom, nearly tripping as she entered the door. As she caught her breath, she walked to a seat in the front. "My apologies, professor. I'm not usually late. I misplaced a book of mine last night while reading. Took me all morning to recover it." She blushed as she looked away from the professor and retrieved her supplies from her bag.

Laurel listened intently to the Professor's question and furrowed her brow in concentration. But when push came to shove, she had no idea what the answer was. Laurie sighed and proceeded to wait for the correct answer.

((lawls ;D its Mitsu's way of complimenting her. She's an oddball remember?))
Mitsu smiled brightly but then turned to the professor, awaiting him to acknowladge what ginny had said. She rather liked the wit-sharpening potion it was quite fun to up her anty of course she was dead tired at the moment, what she wouldn't give for a sugar rush.

Mark sat, hunched over his things, his mind whizzing with potion names.
Amortentia.. Draught of Living Death.. Felix Felicis.. Beazor..
No, it was none of them.. and that last one wasn't even a potion..

A smile crossed the professor's wrinkled face. "Yes that's it! Ten points to Slytherin! This time I am going to make this more difficult. I will not pass out a list of ingredients. I am leaving it up to you to finger it out by whatever means you find neccesary. You have your own potions text books and I have many around the room. Good luck everyone and I am here if you are in need of assistance." He smiled at his pupils.

Lily groaned quietly, and proceeded to her cauldron, pulling out her book, "This doesn't look horrible" she muttered, beginning on the first few steps.

Mitsu looked slightly miffed but pulled out her potion book, flipping through it as she looked for the spell, already setting up her cauldron as she did.
"Hmm lets see. wit-sharpening potion..." she glazed through the book, finding the potion and immeditly started to grab the ingredients needed, but since there were ingredients everywhere, it was a bit daunting.
"To many stuffs" she said with a slight whine.

Delila flipped quickly back to her index page and then moved on to the page for the wit-sharpening potion. After reading over the page she moved to the cupboards and began to pull the ingredients out.

Persephone smiled in an almost evil manner as she started silently preparing her cauldron. She knew the wit-sharpening potion by heart, having made it and used it several times herself--never on tests, of course, because Sephie didn't cheat, but when she'd gone out with her parents on small auror missions before they died. She and Marduke were also always getting into some sort of commotion, and the wit-sharpening potion was a huge help. She hoped the professor would let them keep a vial or two of today's potion as well. It was always good to have some wit-sharpening potion handy...

Laurel searched through her textbook and found the wit sharpening potion. Scanning through the ingredients she shuddered. Armadillo bile? Gross! she thought to herself. Retrieving the ingredients from the cupboard, she proceeded to her seat and started. "Aguamenti," she said filling her cauldron with water. She mixed in the ginger root, followed by the armadillo bile and ground scarab beetles. After mixing the ingredients for the second time, Laurel let it sit for a bit waiting for the purple color she was looking for.
