Zanpakuto Training Grounds

Kaidoh took Jun's advice silently. He began to focus on the shape of the orb. It was very dificult, due to the fact that it took most of his energy to just keep the orb at it's size. Kaidoh began to weave the riatsu of his orb in different ways in order to try and bring out his hilt. He began to swirl it, then to weave it in small strings. Kaidoh got an idea. He began to try and make the strands of riatsu bigger by fusing them together. The riatsu strands, to Kaidoh, kind of resembled a...chain. Just then, Kaidoh's orb flashed, and condensed. A grey hilt was formed. The handle was long and beautifully carved, and the gaurd looked as if it made of several woven strands of steel in a circualr shape. To Kaidoh, it was beautiful. It was shiny, durable, and very intricate.

Jun looked over the hilt, with a gleam in her eyes. It was beautiful. The gleam that came from its guard; the intricate designs flourishing the side; all of those factors made it a work of art. She was practically drooling over it. She finally, after a minute, snapped out of it, and gave the rest of her directions. She stepped back and looked up to Kaidoh, with her index finger in the air and eyes closed, she said, "Focus your energy at the base of your hilt's guard and your blade will form."

Kaidoh nodded. He focused on the gaurd of the hilt. Kaidoh poured as much riatsu into it as he could, even though that still wasn't much. It began to glow just a little bit. Kaidoh kept going, until swet poured from his brow. Kaidoh was ready to give up. He turned around to seek help from Jun. When he turned, he swung his hilt downward. While he swung, a bright gleaming blade emerged from the hilt. Kaidoh didn't even realize it, and still looked at Jun, seeking unneeded advice.

Jun laughed at Kaidoh's ignorance. He made a sword and didn't even notice it. "You've already finished!" She exclaimed pointing at his sword. She walked over to the door and opened it, bowing formally as she said, "You may leave. Go find the squad that's right for you..." She paused as she disappeared in a shunpo and hugged Kaidoh's neck. "My students grow up so fast!" She shouted, giving a fake cry. Jun had always been a drama queen as long as anyone who knew her could remember.

Kaidoh looked at his newly formed blade in awe. It was beautiful! It was long, curved, and shined brightly in the light. Kaidoh heard Jun's order, then ran toward the door at full speeds! When he reached the door, he turned towards Jun, then bowed low. "Thank you." said Kaidoh, bluching. Kaidoh then shot off in the direction of his chosen squad. Kaidoh allways had a love of kido. He wanted to join a squad where he could learn and practice his skills in his favorite art. He was heading for squad five!

Spike walked out into the midst of the training area, and looked around.
The place seemed to be pretty empty.
"Hello!?", He called out, in the hopes that someone nearby would hear him, "Is anyone here?!".
His voice echoed back and forth through the place.
He sat himself down, crossing his legs and began to breathe deeply.
He was pretty nervous. He had never really met any higher ranked shinigami before, but he knew that sooner or later one would come by.

As Spike walked into the room, it appeared empty, while in fact it was not. Jun had heard the door open and was holding onto one of the building's rafters. She let go and began falling rapidly toward Spike. "Banzai!" she shouted seconds before latching onto Spike. Her breath was laced with the sweet intoxicating scent of strawberries - a sure sign that she had gorged herself on strawberry mochi. She wrapped both her arm and legs around Spike as she giggled. "Onward to victory!" She shouted, pointing her finger into the air. She had heard that quote from a movie, when she was last in the human world, and had no idea what it meant, but she did know one fact aout it - it sounded cool.

Spike got to his feet as quickly as he could when he heard the cry of 'Banzai!'.
But before he could look around to see where it came from, he felt a sudden weight bear down on his body.
His knees bent a little to cushion the sudden weight, but rose again to their full length.
He turned his head so he could see who it was who was latched onto his back.
He could just see the smile on the young girls face as she shouted "Onward to victory".

Spike didn't quiet know what to do. He recognised her as Jun Kazekawa of squad 1. He expected a shinigami of her rank to be more serious, but it was comforting to see that it was not always so.

"Where would this victory be?" He asked her in a deep yet purposeful voice.
He didn't quiet understand why she had shouted what she did, but he'd roll along with it.

As zeil entered the area he look at the big area stage that stood before him. "wow this is big .... I dont get it." Looking around from left to right, zeil could hear some noises that he though were from afar but since he didnt see anyone, he decided to lay down and wait. "Its kind of amazing that shinigami, higher shinigami, are actually taking time to train us. Though sence no ones here, my first self given misson .... sleep!!"

"In the action of you acquiring your zannpakuto....whatever your name is!" She said smiling. As she hopped off of his back, Jun held out her palm and focused her energy into a ball. The sphere was the size of a volleyball and glowed with a slight blue twinge as it hovered over Jun palm.

"Now you have to make one in your hand..." She smiled, while making a quick flicking motion with her hand. The motion caused the ball to disappear in a poof of smoke, while she looked over at Spike, trying not to fall asleep.

Spike had realized that he hadn't introduced himself. Well, he didn't have much of a chance to.
When Jun dropped off of his back, he turned around to face her.
He noticed, held in her hand a sphere of what seemed to be blue energy.
Spike knew this part already. Even before the attack, he knew he had it in him, and he played with the energy when he had nothing to do.

He held out his hand, and tensed a little. There seemed to be a little glow in his palm for about a second, before a little dot of energy formed, floating above his hand.
The little dot of energy began to swirls around, and grew large very quickly, becoming nearly the same size as the one Jun had.
He looked up at Jun expecting her to still be jumpy and happy go lucky, but it seemed that she was slowly falling asleep.

Jun yawned as her eyes shut completely. "Just....just just think about a hilt." She mumbled as she fell backwards. Snoring softly, she dropped her tanto onto the ground, revealing it. The tanto was small, barely a foot long, and was decorated with jade, in the style of a tortoise shell.

Spike stood there, with ball of reiatsu bobbing up and down above his hand, as Jun actaually fell back and fell asleep.
Before her eye's closed, she gave Spike his next objective for obtaining his zanpakuto.
'Think about a hilt.'" He though to himself.
This is where Spike's knowledge of reiatsu ended, he had no idea that this was how a zanpakuto is formed.
When Jun first asked to form a ball of rieatsu, Spike felt a little confused, but did as he was told. Just as he always does.

He closed his eye,s and winced a little, concentrating on the though of a hilt, trying to drown out the faint sound of Jun's snoring.
He was concentrating so much now, that a full scale attack could happen on the soul society, and Spike would still be stood there, with his eye's closed. He was completely oblivious to his current surroundings.

While he was deep in though of trying to make a hilt, the ball of reiatsu started to flicker, and pulsate.
The butt of the hilts grip began to produce itself, out from the bottom of the ball, and continued to do so, forming a rather long hilt. Much larger than the average Nodachi's.
The guard of the hilt appears to be that of a normal Nodachi, although blacker than the night sky.

Spike opened his eye's and looked at the hilt that was floating above his palm.
Not long after he opened his eye's, the hilt dropped and Spike quickly caught it with his right hand.
He was proud that he got this far, but his face did not show it.
He still had his blank expression.
Looking down at Jun, he patiently waited for her to wake up to continue.
After all, Spike had no squad to give him orders to follow just yet. He didn't have to be anywhere.

Approximately two hours after Jun went unconscious, she jumped up to her feet ad began finishing where she left off. "Upon finishing the hilt of your weapon, begin applying energy to the tip of said hilt. By focusing energy to the hilt, your blade should form in five to ten minutes. If you release reiatsu at a constant level, you should only be waiting for minute. I would like to wish you luck in this endeavor as I need to take a-" and upon finishing her sentence the narcoleptic shinigami fell back and began snoring softly once more.

Spike was waiting patiently for Jun to wake up again. He was stood in exactly the same place as he was when she fell asleep.
Suddenly She jumped back up onto her feet, and Spike simply looked at her, waiting for the next step to be explained.
'focus the reiatsu to the tip of the hilt' He thought to himself, running the scenario through his head.

Shortly after explaining the last step, Jun fell backwards yet again, and slept once more.
Spike didn't notice, as he had already closed his eyes, focusing on his reiatsu control.
He could feel the weight in his hand increase, but he had a deep down feeling that it still wasn't finished, so he continued.

A minute went by, and he still felt like he should carry on.
The blade was half formed by now, and was the length of a normal nodachi.
The material looked silver, and shined even in the dim light of the room.

A couple of minutes later, spike opened his eye's, noticing first that Jun, was sprawled over the floor , snoozing softly.
Spike remembered a time when he was exactly the same. But now he needed to be stronger. He now had a purpose, and didn't have time for dozing.

He finally looked at his zanpakuto, with it's two meter length.
It was surprisingly light for it's size.
Spike took a few swings, to test it out, and it made the sound of air being dissected.
Spike was pleased with his zanpakuto, and wished to thank Jun for her help, but thought it better to let her sleep.
So Spike turned, and walked out the room, ever so silently.
