[[Asha meets Ani]]

It turned out to be such a lovely day, Wolfey was glad he decided it was time for an outing. He decided on the park, for one it was nearby and two it was outside kids love outside after all! Wolfey packed a small cooler with drinks and baby friendly snacks, grabbed a blanket and a few toys and headed out the door. Only to return a moment later to get Ani. "I knew I was forgetting something!"

Finding a satasfactory spot he spreads out the blanket while tryin to keep his always excited boy from squirming out of his arms. When Ani is finally put down he sits there on his hands and knees, tail wagging, his head turning every which trying to see everything at once. He plops on his butt looks up and Wolfey and claps his hands as well as a baby can.

Wolfey chuckles at his little wolf. "I'm glad you approve!"

As it would be, Phantom and her, ah, family had decided to have an outing to the park as well. That is, Phantom and her family minus one of their less agreeable members. He had decided to stay behind by himself. Perhaps that was why there was no overly loud arguement tracing their current conversation.

"I don't know why Hilian didn't want to come with us," Alex wondered off-handedly, hands held behind her back as she looked out at the park. Aw--she could see a young man and his kid sitting over there... "It's such a nice day."

Nevenn chuckled, shifting the weight of Jaque (who was sucking on a binkie to keep him from biting anything) on her hip. "Nah, the man's a vampire, I swear! He hates going out on nice days, doesn't appeal to him at all."

"Uncle HiHi's a vampire?" Cameo asked curiously, right at the cat-girl's side. "I didn' think he was... Muma said he's kind a like little brother Jaque."

Under her breath, so low that the Sin couldn't hear her, Nevenn mumbled, "And the kid's not?" Only to have Phantom stomp on her foot pointedly, causing the cat-girl to fake a grin. "I'm just kidding, Cam."

Phantom smiled thankfully at Nevenn and moved Asha on her hip. "Julii, Neon, go ahead by yourselves--Julii, you're older, watch Neon for me will you?" Julii looked sideways at Neon, who grinned mischieviously, before hesitating to nod at Phantom and follow the younger child as he ran. "Cam, stay with us." She instructed as Cameo attempted to follow her elder 'siblings'. At once, the grape-girl huffed in mock upset but stuck close to her mother. "Thank you." Asha clutched to Phantom's shirt as they drew closer to Wolfey (not that they knew that was his name) and the child he had with him, buring half of his face in her chest.

Ani ears twitched at the sound of peoples voices he turns to look where they were coming from, the ball Wolfey just rolled to him forgotten. Ani gets onto his hands and knees to get a good look at them his tail slowly moving back and forth. Wolfey smiles watching his curious little boy, then he turns his attention to the group coming in their direction.

A woman with a clutch of childern of verious ages were coming their way, Wolfey had never seen Ani looking so intently at anything before. When they are about to walk by Ani goes crawling right towards them. "Ani where are you going?" Wolfey gets up to chase after him, Ani looks back and squeals happily and crawls faster. Not looking where hes going he runs right into the leg of the mother, Wolfey assumed, of the children. Ani, stunned, falls back on his haunches and looks up at the lady.

"Oh shoot Ani!" Wolfey breaks out into full run hoping Ani was ok and didn't hurt himself or the lady.

"Oh!" Phantom stumbled back slightly as the small boy ran into her leg. Quickly, however, she regained her composure and bent down to the infant's level. Balancing Asha on her leg (and keeping one hand at his back), Phantom cautiously reached out a hand to Ani. "Hey there, you alright?" Nevenn bent down next to Phantom as well, Jaque in hand, Cameo and Alex right on her tail. "Are you hurt?" Frowning slightly, she looked up at the apparent father of the child. "Is he yours? I'm sorry 'bout that, I didn't even see him there."

Ani looks up at all the faces around him, he got scared for a second then as soon as he sees they were nice faces he giggles then says rather loudly, "BOOM!"

Wolfey stops dead in his track eyes wide with shock. "OHMYGOODNESS! Did he just say something!?!" He picks his boy up. "Ani? Do that again! "

Ani looks up at his daddy with a wondering look. "Boom?"

Wolfey laughs. "Did you hear that? He said boom! That's the first time he ever spoke! Oh please forgive me, yes this is my son Aniwaya. He didn't hurt you did he? He has a hard noggin hope hyou don't bruse easily."

He looks at the group then laughs. "Please forgive my bad manners, my name is Wolfey Fireborn, and you've already met Ani."

Phantom chuckled lightly, smiling at Ani kind heartidly. "Really? Your first word? How special!" She stood, smiling still. "No, no, I'm fine, really. Wolfey and Ani is it? Well," Phantom shifted the red haired boy on her hip, "you can just call me Phantom, this is Asha," the looked out at Ani slightly, barely lifting his face off of his mother's chest, but nonetheless smiling warmly, "Nevenn and Jaque," the cat-girl stood, bowing her head slightly, and Jaque waved, "Cameo," the Sin curtsied clumsily, "an' Alex."

"How do you do?" The other woman tipped an imaginary hat to the man.

Phantom smiled. "Julii and Neon are..." she scanned the park shortly, quickly catching a glimpse of sliver and pink hair in the distance, "climbing trees somewhere. They'll show up when they get tired."

Wolfey smiled and nodded to each child in turn as they were introduced to him. Ani, the constant tail wagger, smiled back at Asha and made some happy baby noises in greetings.

"Well Phantom its nice to meet you and your family, call me Wolfey. Would you and your crew like to join us? Ive got some juice and crackers and other munchies."

Wolfey's tail joined in with his boy's wags only much slower. They seemed like really nice people to him and Ani seemed to like them as well, especially the shy redheaded baby.

"That sounds nice..." Phantom looked back at her crew, and each one nodded (with the exception of Jaque, who babbled nonsensically) in turn. Turning back to Wolfey, Phantom smiled. "As long as we aren't intruding on anything."

Asha lifted his head off of his mother's chest fully now, making half-grabbing half-waving motions at Ani with one hand. His other hand still grip tightly around the fabric of his mother's shirt. "Ngshh, appa!" He garbled, no particular meaning in his baby talk words apparent.

Aniwaya's smile grew even bigger and he clapped his hands at Asha apparent responce. Wolfey smiles at the exchange. "Ever wish you could understand baby talk? I mean to know if its just noise or if its like a different language. Intruding?"Wolfey chuckles. "Ani is the one who went barreling into you. We in fact are the ones intruding!'"

Wolfey turns and heads back to their sitting spot followed by Phantom and family. Ani looking over Wolfey shoulder at Phantom and her kids, studying them like he always seemed to do when he met new people. He wanted to play with Asha.

Phantom laughed, following and shifting Asha so that he was fully in both of her arms. "Sometimes, but others I think we'd rather not know." Asha looked up at his mother and then at Ani. Finally releasing his grip on his mother's shirt, he clapped clumsily back, giggling.

Behind them, the others followed. Jaque was still sucking on a binkie and watching these new people indifferently, Cameo humming the jingle to some commercial or another, and the older young women shook their heads at a silent joke between them.

Wolfey sits down indian style and pulls the cooler over, he laughs at Phantom's comment. "I never though about it like that Phantom. Now that you mention it I'm glad he couldn't tell me how badly I did the first time I changed him!" He lets Ani go as soon as he does Ani scoots over to the new people sniffling at them. "Oh Ani don't start that again! Sorry, he sniffs people I think its because of his wolf side."

Ani swishes his tail happily not listening to Wolfey, he crawls right over to the purple looking girl. He crouchs in front of her head cocked to one side, he suddenly grins and crawls around her twice being silly and playful.

Wolfey opens the cooler. "I always seem to over pack this thing. Lets see... I have apple juice, grape juice, Ani's bottles, cranberry juice. Here are some crackers, baggie of cheerios, carrots, and apple sauce! Anyone hungry or thursty?"

Phantom settled down as well, placing Asha neatly in her lap, laughing. "Ah, it's no problem. We live in a house of cats, so..." She passed a glance at Nevenn, who sat down next to her and rolled her eyes, "...Yeah, we're used to these sorts of things." Sort of, anyways. Cats and wolves were on different ends of the spectrum, but they were both animals...right? "Does any one want anything?" Nevenn and Alex shook their heads (mumbling a "no thanks" each) and Jaque just blinked, apparently content.

Cameo giggled and twisted her body slightly to watch Ani as he crawled around her. "He's a nice baby." She concluded, nodding her head and laughing, then looked up at Wolfey. "Grape juice please!"

In Phantom's lap, Asha squirmed. "Gwape." He stated simply, then squirmed again. "Ananananani, nana." He reached out for Ani with his tiny hands, restrained only by his mother's gentle hands.

Phantom rolled her eyes at her 'children', smiling. "I'm fine too, but thanks."

Wolfey sticks one the baby carrots in his mouth like a cigar, then takes out two grape juice boxes and sticks the straws in them. "Here you go ummm Cameo is it?" He holds the drink out for her then hands the other to Phantom to give to Asha. After passing the drinks out Wolfey chews his carrot up.

Ani, hearing Asha call, turns around and crawls right over to Phantom and Asha. He smiles up and Phantom then rests his head on her knee watching Asha.

Wolfey finishes his carrot. "It looks as though Ani and Asha have taken a liking to each other. Its just Ani and I at home, I wasn't sure how he would be around other people. Or how other people would be around him." Watching his boy's tail wag.

"Mmhmm, tank you, sir!" Cameo accepted the juice box and sipped a little, settling on the grass next to her mother.

Phantom nodded to Wolfey as she took Asha's juice box from his hand and gave it to the little red headed boy. Laughing, she brushed a loose lock of hair out of her eyes. "Ah, yes, it does seem like that, doesn' it?" She allowed Asha to slip off of her lap onto the ground and pat Ani on the head softly. The child looked up at her, sipping his grape juice childishly, and scooted closer to Ani, waving.

He smiles and nods to Cameo. "You have very good manner lil one."

A question crossed his mind. "Phantom, if I'm being to nosey tell me, but ummmm all your children are... tryin to think of a good word... umm different are they all naturally yours? I'm sorry if I offened you in anyway, I mean I'm curious, I adopted Ani..." Wolfey looks away feeling kinda dumb for asking such a thing.

Ani, his bright green eyes sparkling, gets nose to nose with Asha then he sniffles him and giggles. Besides curious, silly is other descriptive word Wolfey used the most often when refering to his boy. Ani suddenly gives a squeal and baby talks to Asha, then he points to Asha's forehead.

Cameo beamed, still sipping from her juice box happily, and Phantom pulled her to her chest, ruffling her hair.

At Wolfey's question, however, Phantom's face fell and her gaze drifted to her 'daughter' distantly. "I was wondering when someone would notice that." She murmered. Shaking herself out of her half-trance she looked up at the cat girl behind her. "Nevenn, could you?" But Nevenn had already caught her train of thought, and was standing, Jaque held safely in her arms. Phantom's face softened. "Thank you. It'll only take a little while."

Once Nevenn and Jaque were a good ways away, Phantom turned back to Wolfey. "I'm sorry about that, but I swore I wouldn't let Jaque ever find out where he came from, so..." She shook her head. There was no way she would break that promise. "I ain't taking any chances here, even if he's an infant." Anxiously, she fiddled with the trim of her t-shirt. Finally, she said, "Cameo and Asha are adopted, yes, I don't hide that from them at all. Alex and Nevenn, well..." Why was she telling him this? Perhaps her years of silence on the subject had built up to the point she couldn't handle it anymore, but...

Alex jumped in, noticing Phantom struggling with the explanation. "Perhaps you've noticed that neither 'Venn or I refer to Phantom as 'mom', well, you see--"

"--They aren't genetically my children, but--"

"--She nevertheless brought us into this world, and--"

"--Even I don't understand the mechanics of it, you see, so--" Phantom shook her head again, at a loss of words to explain this. Instincively, she pulled her knees up to her chest and placed her chin on Cameo's head, rubbing her back lovingly.

Unknowing of the conversation going on around him, Asha continued his interaction with Ani. He grinned childishly, laughed, and the gem on his forehead flashed. Garbling something nonesensical, he pointed at Ani's wagging tail and the ears ontop his head, his chains clanking with his movements. Sure, Nevenn had ears and a tail, but they weren't like these ones!

"Well... I certainly opened a can of worms here." He smiles softly at Phantom. "I know we have just met Phantom but anything you say to me I will never repeat, I promise. It sounds like Jaque came from a bad situations, I'm sure you are keeping this from him to protect him, what ever this is."

Wolfey swished his tail and pushed his hair back so Phantom and Alex could see his racoon like ears. "I myself am not sure of what I am exactly. I've been researching for years trying to find where I might be from. I have read some very frightening text about different realms and dimensions that are out there, if Jaque is from one of those places... he is lucky he found you."

He looks over at Ani and smiles as the boy leans his head down some and puts Asha's hand on one of his ear. Ani notices the other boys chain for the first time, he reached out his hand and very lightly touched them.

"Family is family Phantom, no matter how they come into this world." He nods and pats Phantom's hand lightly.

"Thank you." Phantom murmered, biting her lip. "I'm sorry for telling you all that, but..." She sighed, and repeated. "I'm sorry. This has been building up for a long time." And you seemed willing to hear remained unsaid, hanging in the air.

Cameo squirmed out from underneath her mother's arm. "I'm gonna go find Julii, Muma." She said carefully.

Smiling halfway, Phanotm nodded. "Go ahead, Cam." Tucking another strand of hair behind her ear, she added. "Don't hurt yourself. Be careful."

"'Kay." She stood clumsily, nodding to Wolfey. "Nice yo meet you, sir." And she hurried off after the brightly colored hair of her two brothers in the distance.

Phantom let out a sigh, watching Cameo a moment and then back at Wolfey. "Thank you for listening to me." She murmered, sighing, and then took a deep breath. "Your... tail, it's quite... nice." Obviously struggling to change the subject, Phantom shifted on the grass to watch the children and Wolfey at the same time. "Do you ... take care of it well?" Mentally, Phantom slapped herself. Real good subject change, there.

Still completely oblivious, Asha squeeled happilyas his hand touched Ani's wolf-like ears. Oh! This was so cool! When Ani touched his chains, he giggled and threw up his arms so the motion caused them to clank together again.

He smiles watching Cameo run off to play. "No need to apologise Phantom, besides being unbelieveable sexy I'm a great listener." He winks at her trying to make her laugh. "As for my tail, its easy to take care of. I brush every other week and after I shower I make sure I dry it good, if I don't then the house gets all wet dog smelling! I do the same for Ani he doesn't like the brushing too much though!"

Wolfey chuckles then looks at the boys seeing Asha gently petting Ani's ear. Then Wolfey sees Asha's chains. "Phantom, why does Asha have chains on him?"

Ani giggled at Asha making his chains clank. He decides to get on his hands and knees so Asha can see his tail good and waggs it for his friend.

Unable to contain it, Phantom did, indeed, laugh. "Ah, I see. It makes sense it would take so much care to keep it clean." At the mention of Asha, Phantom looked down at the infant. "I... Actually, I don't have a clue. He had them when I adopted him, so... Well, I don't know, but he rather doesn't like someone trying to take them away, though he'll take them off -- or try anyways -- himself." She shrugged. "I'll have to ask next time I'm around there."

Asha squeeled (was that a squeel? Phantom couldn't tell) and clapped his hands, tentively reaching out his hand to touch the other boy's tail. However, he quickly decided otherwise and drew his hand back to clap again.

Wolfey looks at the chains some more. "That's strange, of course who am I to judge strange. I mean I got a kid who has a tail and wolf ears!" He chuckles then he registers a detail Phantom said. "Where? I mean you just said 'have to ask next time I'm around there'. Where is there?"

Ani grins at Asha's claps then he yawns really big his eyes starting to look a bit drowsy. He decides to lays down in the grass smiling up at his new friend, laying his tail in Asha's lap.

Phantom stiffled a laugh. "Aa, but I think Ani's wolf characteristics rather fit him." She paused, thinking about his question. "Oh, why, the adoption center, of course." It seemed like a rather open place, and Phantom saw no reason why she wouldn't be around there every once in a while. She brought Cameo to the mansion plenty, after all. "Where I adopted Asha. I'd think they'd know if anyone did."

Petting Ani's tail softly, Asha yawned as well, echoed even softer by his mother. Yawns were contagious, apparently. "Nyanana..." He babbled lightly, patting his friend's tail, with no apparent meaning. "Nn."

Wolfey's eye go wide. "Adoption center? You don't happen to mean the one run by Rune Traverse!? That is where I got my Ani from!" His smiles stretches from ear to ear. What an amazing concidence this would be, it would make Ani and Asha almost like kin.

Ani halfway curls his tail around his friend then closes his eyes a litle smile on his face. Wolfey looks at his boy. "Looks like someone is ready for his nap..." He smiles at Phantom then chuckles when she yawns. "Am I making you miss your nap as well Phantom?"

Phantom blinked. "Yes, actually." Coincidence indeed. "Nap? Nah, I stayed up late last night fixin' up the kids' room is all." However, it did seem that the children were tired. As if to support this, Asha yawned again and rubbed his eyes and leaned up against his mother's lap. Then...

"A'ex! Muma!" It was Cameo... piggy-back on Julii, who seemed quite disgruntled, and was giving the younger boy that trailed behind them a scornful look. The Sin's knees were all scratched up, and the legs of her overalls were grass-stained. The same type of stains were reflected on Julii's pants as well. Neon, however, seemed unscathed.

Alex, who had seemingly blended into to background during the majority of Phantom and Wolfey's conversation, gave Phantom a half-smile and stood. "What happened?"

And thus the two elder boys burst.

"Neon pushed her--"

"--Did not! She slipped!"

"--out of the tree! He did too!"

"But you caught her, didn't you?"

"What if I hadn't?!"

"A'ex!"

Phantom winced, swiftly drawing air in between her teeth. Ah, by the look on Cameo's face she was ready to go home, Asha was probably going to fall asleep soon, and if they wanted to get home before dark, they'd have to leave soon to find Nevenn and Jaque, they still hadn't come back... Turning back to Wolfey, Phantom sighed. "I'm sorry, but, ah..."

He gets a slight smirk on his face as the boys, at the same time, try to tell their story. Then he looks down at the babies, Ani was sitting up now rubbing one eye an yawning. Asha looked as though he needed a nap as well. "But you need to get going right?" Chuckling, Wolfey reaches in the baby bag pulls out a notepad and a pen he scribbles something on it then rips the page off. "Here, take this. Its my address, if you ever need a good listener feel free to stop by anytime. I need to be going too I'm pretty sure Ani is wanting his nap!"

He hands Phantom the note, smiles then give her a quick hug. As he packs things up he keeps talking... "Hopefully we will see each other at the center, I'm sure Asha and Ani would love that!"

As Wolfey picks up the baby bag, Ani looks at Asha, garbles some baby talk then gives the other boy a clumsy baby hug. Ani then crawls over to Phantom tugs her shirt then holds his arms up to her.

"Yeah, that's about the gist of it -- Thank you." Phantom accepted the note greatfuly, looked down at it briefly and then folded it. Putting it in her pocket she thanked him again. "Thank you, I do too hope we see each other soon. I'll be sure to bring Asha if I drop by."

Asha garbled back to Ani, returning the hug, and yawned again. As he rubbed his eyes, Alex bent down and picked him up, still trying to rectify the situation. "Hush, Cameo, what happened?"

The Sin sniffed and buried half her face in Julii's back. "I dunno, it happen' rweally fast."

Phantom cast a quick glance at her daughter, and then felt the tug on her shirt. She glanced down, and her lips cracked into a smile. "Ah," she bent over to lift Ani up and give him a gentle hug, "good bye Ani."

Ani snuggles into her hug, his tail wagging slowly, then he leans back in her arms and gently places his hand on the bridge of Phantom's nose and smiles.

Wolfey opens the mini cooler and gets out the last box of grape juice, he walks over to Cameo still on her brother back and hands it to her. "Here sweety, drink this it'll make you feel better." He pats her head gently then he turns and sees Ani put his little hand on Phantom's nose. Wolfey gasps then smiles and walks over to them.

Oh my goodness, looks like Ani approves of you! You see, he's done that to me and I think that is his special way of saying he loves somebody. So Ani loves you." Wolfey smile grows so happy to see his boy make connections with new people. He gently takes Ani out of Phantom's arms, the little wolf gives a huge yawn then does something that surprise Wolfey.

"Bi Bi Asa! Bi Bi Fanthum!"

"Tank you, sir." Cameo said softly, slipping the straw into the box and sipping on it idly. With the other arm, she held onto Julii. As he pat her on the head she smiled partly, and then placed her cheek back on her brother's back. Julii smiled too, and shifted Cameo's weight slightly to make it easier on himself.

Phantom's face softened at Wolfey's explanation of Ani's actions, and smiled. "Huh. Is that so? Why, I believe I love you too, Ani." Phantom chuckled, and ran a hand through her hair. "Good bye you two, thank you so very much." With a smile and a wave, she turned slightly and headed back towards her children. "Buh-bye." As she reached Neon, she snagged his ear and pulled him in an odd position. "And you are going to be spending some time in your room, young man." She hissed, dipping her head closer to Neon's.

The boy winced and breathed in swiftly between his teeth, attempting to move out of his mother's grip. "Ouchouchouchouch."

"Bynananana Anani." Asha yawned cuddling close to his 'sister' and just barely looking over her arm at his wolf-like friend. "Bynanana."

Asha's Quest!

Wow, Asha has certainly been going places! He's been to the park, met Ani, all sorts of things! Now it's time for him to do something a little bit different.

The Quest:

Asha and two of his siblings - preferably close to his age - must go do something together out in the world. This could be as simple as going to the local park or as complex as a full kiddie movie. However, there is a catch - he must bring one friend, or make one friend while he is there.

[[The Interpretations Talent Show!]]
During which Asha had no interaction with any other Tenjutsu child, but got to play pretend in his aligator pjs.

This Event occured around mid December.

Cameo, Jaque, Asha: Violet
Kiarna, Yra: Orange
Heartless: Dark Blue
Bekira: Green
Umbra: Dark Red
Io: Olive

Because this was a shop-wide RP event, there were many, many posts, and I obviously didn't transcribe them all. D:

"Kiaaaaa~"

The door swung open again, followed quickly by a pinkish, purplish, greenish... blur. Cameo (for who else would it have been? The click-click of her hooves against the floor gave away her identity immediately) sprinted passed the girl Kiarna was speaking to, and latching herself around the lady's waist. "Kiaaarnaaa~ We come and viiiisiiit!"

Behind her, Jaque slipped in the door and closed it with one hand behind him. His and Cameo's baby brother, Asha, was snug in his other arm. The infant was dressed in aligator footie pajamas and was rubbing his eyes drowsily. By the looks of it, he had just woken up from his nap. "Cam," Jaque said softly, hurrying to the Sin's side and begining to pry her off of Kiarna, "that wasn't nice." He nodded slightly in acknowledgement to the other ladies in the room, mumbling a 'hello', before he turned back to his elder sister. "Cam..."

Cameo spun around on her brother, sticking her tongue out at him. "Mmm! Just 'cause Mum put you in charge doesn' mean that you get to push me around!"

"Cameoooo~squee!" Kiarna stumbled backwards with a laugh as Cameo attacked her, pronouncing her delight. "Jaque too!" She smiled indulgently at the little baby in nestled in Jaque's arm. "And who might you be?"

"It's fine, Jaque," she added as Jaque began to pry Cameo off her: "It makes me feel very happy that Cameo greets me with such enthusiasm," she chuckled.

"So, where is Phantom today? Have you three come here alone?"

Kiarna smacked herself in the forehead: "Oh, I forgot! I must introduce you; Zaika, Lady, Bekira," - pointing to each woman in her turn - "This is Jaque - an Interpretation - and Cameo - a Sin'aeis. Their guardian is a woman who goes by Phantom, a really sweet person. Maybe you'll be able to meet her someday!"

"Asha, say hi." Jaque prompted the drowsy little boy, who yawned and rubbed his eyes again.

"Hiii jiji, phffff." Baby spit formed little bubbles at his mouth, but Asha seemed unaware -- He was an infant, after all, that wasn't something he'd bother to care about. Jaque, however, curled his sleeve over his hand and wiped the spit off his baby brother's face.

"Mum's doing some Christmas shopping." Jaque informed, pulling the aligator head hoodie of Asha's pajamas more securely over the baby's head. "She let us go ahead; I was put in charge." Even though he was the younger, he was the most responsible of the three. Asha was an infant, and Cameo was a wee bit... well, she was the toddler she was.

Said Cameo was not paying attention to her brother at all. She had spotted the sign up sheet. "Kia! Can we sign up too?" Not that she had a clue what they would do... but she could always think of something. Jaque rolled his eyes, his wings twitching slightly. Yeah, like Cameo could get him to do anything.

...Right?

In Jaque's arms, Asha waved happily at Yra, seeing as she was the only other infant in the room. "Hiii bibi." He bubbled sleepily, inturrupted by a short yawn. "Pweepi bibi~"

"Hiii to you too, Asha!" Kiarna cooed at the baby.

"Of course you may!" Kiarna exclaimed hugging Cameo. "That is...if your big brother doesn't object," Kiarna added, glancing anxiously at Jaque.

Yra looked thoughtfully at Asha, a confused look upon her face. One could tell she was trying to decipher hte baby-speech. "Um, hi," she said finally, waving back.

"HEARTLESS!" Kiarna waved as the newcomer entered through the door. "Everyone, this is Heartless. Heartless, everyone."

Heartless smiled and waved at all the people she could see. She looked around the shop until at last she found what she was looking for. She checked to make sure nobody was looking and sat in a comfy black rabbit fur chair. Once on the chair, Heartless suddenly...

=

...Conjured a sandwhich out of mid-air! Can this be her talent? Magic? No, if Kiarna had watched a security video, she would have seen Heartless pull the sandwhich out of a pocket in her coat. But Hearltess still hasn't practiced what she will do. What will her talent be? Better yet, why doesn't she show anyone? Who cares?

"It's Bekira's turn," Yra suddenly said, breaking the silence. "Please stand in the center of the rom where everyone can see," she continued, her voice sounding almost recorded. Whipping out a notepad out of midair (so it seemed), she got ready to judge.

Kiarna too got out a notepad, although she had to fumble through her pockets a little.

Bekira started, looking around. Maybe there was someone else with her name in here... realizing that she was being incredibly silly, she walked into the middle of the room.

Her eyes though, couldn't help but stray to where Yra was. It had been so disconcerting to see the flame thing turn into the child...

Oh dear. Was Yra going to take marks off her for being so pokey?

She hoped not.

"Well." she said, grinning. "My talent, is making animals and other shapes out of balloons." She grinned. It was chidlish, but something she enjoyed. Which didn't say such flattering things about her own personality.

Pulling out a couple of brightly colored balloons she had tucked into her skirt pocket, she looked around.

"Although, I'm not sure what shapes to start out with." she started. She could make the usual ones. Poodles, swords, crowns, as well as horses, and a couple of cartoon characters as well."
=
Bekira was busy staring at Yra as well. It had only been a little while since she had been playing with the flame version of Yra, but this child one seemed to be completely different.

And weren't children supposed to be sweet, and hyper and... well, not quite as intense?

Working with her favorite shapes and colors, she made the forms she liked the most. A little crown made out of a yellow balloon, and a sword made out of the white one with a red ribbon "tied" around the base.

A yellow bird completed and set, and she smiled.

It wasn't as fancy as she would have hoped...

... but it would have to do.
=
Bekira tried in vain to peer over at Yra's notes. She wanted to know what the fire child was writing, and why there was so much of it.

Bekira smiled, shrugging apologetically. "I'm afraid that's it." she said, ducking her head in a nod as she walked back over to join the others in the crowd.

Yra, very calmly, turned the notes over so Bekira could not see them. Then she proceeded to give Bekira a long stare - the kind that usually makes people sweat and cringe. "No peeking," she said, her mouth quirking into a smile for a second - but then it was gone.

Kiarna smiled apologetically. "Thank you for your performance!" She finished up her notes, turned them upside down, then wandered over to the sign-up sheet. "Let's see - "

"It's Lady Umbra's turn, Mother," Yra interrupted. "I memorized the list, just in case," Yra explained at Kiarna's puzzled look.

As umbra walked to the center of the room she took a few deep breaths calming her nerves and letting her mind quickly repeat the things she needed to. As she faced the judged she smiled briefly before returning her mouth to a neutral setting and half closing her yes.

The sound of someone clearing their throat fills the room

? Today we are learning about the art of ventriloquism it is a time consuming activity but it has been rumoured to have been used since ancient days during assumed possessions and divinations " the voice was definitely male and had that professor tone to it.? can anyone tell me what ventriloquism is?
Umbra moved swiftly here because while sometimes she included her audience in this act it showed more of her skill to do it herself

?Sir Sir isn?t that when you talk without moving your lips?" asked a girl's voice filled with energy

?Wish you wouldn?t move your lips? a boys voice grumbled

?yes ? the professor carried on? it is the act of throwing ones voice making it seem like it comes from another object or place without moving your lips.

?Don?t you do different Voices and stuff? a loud voice, gender hard to determine calls out

? Um well yes many ventriloquists can mimic both the voices of those who have lived and can create many voice of their own. ?

?Well then? a bored voice obviously that of an unimpressed kid

The act continued for a few minutes Umbra?s professor showing of a few voices and actually doing the last few lines of gone with the wind. Finally she stopped and smiled at the room before speaking properly ?and that concludes my act?.

Yra said nothing, just wrote.

Kiarna smiled and appeared to be pleased and impressed by the performance. "Thank you, that was very interesting and amusing!" There was a brief silence, in which the judges wrote down their notes.

Finally, Yra spoke: "Io is next."

Cameo grinned and, before Jaque could even protest, she hurried over to the sign up list and scribbled their names. Sure, her writing was large and half the letters were backwards, and that she spelled her own brother's name wrong, but it was readable. If that counted for anything.

"Cam!" Jaque nearly snapped, but kept his voice down for the courtesy of the other people in the room. "What are we going to do?" And he said 'we' because Cameo had signed all three of them in permanent ink (had she borrowed that sharpie from their mother?). There was nothing he could do about it now. Inwardly, Jaque steamed. "What can we do?"

Before he could say any more, Cameo slipped her backpack off of her shoulders, unzipped the top, and slipped out a thin book. At sight of the lady in the blue dress on the cover, Jaque rolled his eyes and Asha squeeled. "Sweeping Beauty!" The Sin proclaimed happily. "Asha gets to be the dragon!"

Jaque looked down at the oblivious infant, who seemed no comprehension other than: 'hey, look, pretty book!' Fingering a strand of hair he gave in. "And I'm...?"

"Aurora." Cameo said simply, grinning.

It took a moment for that to register. "What?"

"You gets to be Aurora, I'ma gonna be da prince!" Cameo said with a nod. "You're pweety, and you don' ha'e to ta'k at all! Jus' sweep! We jus' do the dwagon part. Tha' all."

Io jumped slightly at the sound of her name, blinking herself out of her thoughts. (She'd been mentally theorizing as to how exactly one threw one's voice, having never studied the subject herself, and wondering if it would make a good superpower while she was at it. She had also been mentally writing up character sheets for each of the voices in Umbra's skit in a rather compulsive manner.)

"Ah! Of course, my turn..." She walked to the center of the room, spinning on her heel as she reached her mark and giving a short bow accented by a flourish of her scarf. "I'll be showing off a small hobby of mine today; a few magic tricks. However, I no doubt know there are a few cynical minds in the audience... tsk tsk. So I shall set these over here, so I have no convenient folds of cloth to hide things in." She removed her scarf and jacket, setting them on a nearby empty chair.

"My first trick..." she paused to lace her fingers together, stretching her arms out in front of her with her palms facing out and cracking her knuckles, "...shall be a card trick." Her hands flipped around, bridging the deck of cards that was suddenly there. "Do excuse the fact that I'm using tarot cards... I don't have a regular playing deck on me." She shuffled them quickly, not even glancing at the deck.

"Now, one of you, any of you, pick a card. Any card, doesn't matter, but don't show or tell me what it is! Just make sure you and you alone know precisely which card you've chosen." She fanned the deck, face-down, and held it out to the others.

Yra stood up, glided over to Io, and took a card. She did this all with absolutely no show of emotion on her blank face.

"Magic tricks? I was always so fascinated with them as a little kid, I remember - I actually thought it was real when my dad 'pulled his thumb off' and I started freaking out." Kiarna chuckled a little at the memory.

Now thoroughly pleased with 'their' choice of act, Cameo scuttled over to sit at the edge of Io's 'performace space', crossing her legs and putting the Sleeping Beauty book on the floor next to her. Jaque shook his head, rolling his eyes and followed suite, placing Asha in his lap. The infant boy giggled and clapped his hands happily before sticking his forefinger into his mouth.

"Magics twiks, Jaque!" Cameo exclaimed in a whisper to her brother, practically bouncing. "I like magics twiks. Magic Erasers are magics too, and they're real cool."

Asha, squirmingn in Jaque's lap, removed his finger from his mouth and pointed. "Sweepin' Buty!" He proclaimed, not bothering to keep his voice down as his sister did. "Ma'ics!"

Bekira watched, fascinated. What would Io do next? At the same time, she was distracted by the children near her feet, listening n on their conversation shamelessly. Dammit. They were too cute!

Yra, staring a moment at Asha, then fell her gaze upon Jaque and Cameo. She was perfectly silent....except for the crackle of the fire around her. What an odd creature..

Kiarna giggled merrily at Cameo's antics, overhearing her whispers to Jaque. "Oh, Cameo, you are sometimes just too cute!" She reached over and fondly ruffled her hair slightly.

After this point, the event dwindled off to an end, and Cameo, Jaque, and Asha didn't have a chance to perform, but it is assumed they did. So when I stop being lazy I can type up their skit. XD

QUEST

Asha and two of his siblings - preferably close to his age - must go do something together out in the world. This could be as simple as going to the local park or as complex as a full kiddie movie. However, there is a catch - he must bring one friend, or make one friend while he is there.

"Now y're all snuggly, Asha, there."

Asha yawned as Cameo slipped on a hat and jacket with Jaque's help. Both of his sibling were already dressed comfortably wit their own fluffy coats, scarves, and other nice warm thing. Asha yawned again, curling his fingers in Jaque's coat as the elder boy picked him up.

Why were they getting up so early? The sun wasn't up yet – it was still sleeping, why couldn't he? His chains jangled as Jaque adjusted him on his hip. When he attempted to close his eyes, his brother ruffled his hair, mumbling. "Hey, kid, gotta stay up for this, kay?"

But sleep seemed so welcoming. Big brothers, while as insightful as could be, could sometimes be a pain. Especially when he was trying to sleep. "Eey, pyth."

Another ruffle of the hair. "Don't look at me like that."

Asha hadn't realized Cameo had gone until she got back, and tapped Jaque on the shoulder. "Where're we goin' again, Jaque?" Cameo pressed against her brother, looking over his arm at Asha, giggling when he yawned widely again. "G'aww, so cyute, Asha."

Asha wrinkled his nose playfully. "Bhiffpth." Cameo stuck her tongue out at him in retaliation.

"You're kidding, right?" After a heavy sigh, Jaque explained. "There's a nice man that plays flute in town. Mom says we can go listen to him play if we bring him a dollar each."

Cameo's mouth rounded into an 'o', and she pat her coat pocket to make sure she had her four quarters. Satisfied, she grinned. "Asha too?"

The baby rattled his chains happily, recognizing he was being addressed, and he flashed his forehead gem. He wished his brother would give a bit more wiggle room here, then he could reach down and grab Cam's hair.

Jaque shifted him up on his hip, and produced two wrinkled dollar bills from his pant pockets. "One for me, one for Asha, see?" And then he pocketed them. Cameo nodded, wrapping her arm around his.

"Let's go!"

The trek to see the nice man with the flute proved long. Or, at least, for Asha so early in the morning. The sun peaked over the buildings, dripping them with hues of orange and yellow and reds. By this time Asha buried his face in this brother's jacket and his eye lids drooped over his gray eyes. Sleep, so sweet...

A sudden shift in his position jolted him awake. "Guh?"

"Hi!" Cam sung out, but not too him. When he pried his eyes open, he saw his sister toddling over to a nice, elderly looking man, seated on the stone edge of the fountain. He looked homely like, with scraggly whitening hair that curled around his shoulders, and dressed ridiculously with that bright orange Hawaiian shirt and ratty jeans. Around his feet a Rottweiler pup pulled at the laces of his sneakers, making a good game out of it. Asha waved drowsily at the man, hiding half his face in Jaque's jacket. "Fii~"

The mand grinned at all three of them, which evolved into a laugh as Cam emptied her four quarters into his tin. Jaque placed his and Asha's two dollars into the tin as well, and Asha took the chance of lowered level to make grabbing hands at the pup. The Rottweiler yipped and pattered around Jaque's feet and then proceeded to circle Cameo. A yelp from the little girl, and Cam toddled hurriedly behind Jaque.

Asha, on the other hand, thought the dog was a riot and burst laughing. The sight of the pup seemed to have spilled ice water over him, waking him right up from the drowsy morning. Jaque flopped down at the edge of the colorful blanket on the ground, setting Asha on his lap. The pup yipped happily and nudged the infant with his wet, cold nose.

"Pierre, Pierre, don't bother the poor boy." The man chuckled, trying to influence the puppy back towards him. But Pierre enjoyed himself, as Asha played wit hhis floppy ears, and nuzzling their noses together.

"'S okay, Mister Beauregard." That was one amazing long word, Asha thought. He revered his brother in that respect - amazing. Jaque pat the pup's head. "He's okay here."

Beauregard's eyes crinkled in a smile as he armed his flute wit his hands and his breath. "But what about the nice young lady here?"

Cameo jumped practically out of her pants, looking up at Mister Beauregard and then at Pierre. "I'm okay, Miss'r." She flashed him a quivering smile and plopped down a healthy distance from Jaque. "Will you play for us?"

He did play for them. And he played nice like, too. Asha enjoyed the sweet sound of the woodwind, but much rather enjoyed petting Pierre and have Jaque scratching him behind the ears. He couldn't do much more than that. Patting and petting was all good and fine – easier too.

In Asha's opinion, really, Pierre was the star of the snow. He rolled his back when he rubbed is belly, and yipped happily when he pet under his chin. And he was soft and nice to pet like that. The wetness of Pierre's sloppy tongue didn't bother him at all. In fact, he thought it was the neatest thing ever that a dog could have such a tongue.

He wished they could take Pierre home with them, but he was the nice man's friend too. The nice man played nice music too, and Pierre probably liked him having a friend in Pierre like that too. Jaque liked his music a lot, and he would probably tell him just that.

So, when the man's concert was all done, he said goodbye to Pierre and gave him one more pat on the head. Jaque said they could come back next weekend with another dollar. The idea was nice. His brother was such a genius.
