"She might have a bit or reluctance but she trusts me, and im willing to put out a hand of good fait so long as it doesn't get burned in return." Rouchlos comments with a warm smile reaching out a bit on impulse he grabs onto her hand and lifts her most of the way up onto Sulfurs back. the large bet reared to her feet immediately. "In a hurry my dear?"
"Of course not, but this sun is starting to excite my body, and i doubt this girl could take what you do. so i think it would be best to get to the cool air."
"Your not testing her are you?"
"Never" sulfur responds in a slightly sinister tone. her body shifting a few times before she leaps into the air her wings giving a mighty push to send them on their way. the small landing sight that they were once in disappearing int the rolling hills of sand as the wind whipped around their bodies.

" If you say so- then I shall trust your words Dragon Rider Rouchlos." she said with an emphasis on the title he obviously had. She was fairly light when he lifted her, actually quite light- unnaturally light. A sack of grain would be heavier, and for a moment she seemed to take to the air for a moment, a second of hovering weightlessness, until his pull forced her onto the dragons back instead. But just before one could notice trully how light her body was in that instant, she was settled between the spikes, and back to normal.
'..cut it out Eleniel. Not at this moment please.'
~ Just trying to make it easier.. maybe the Green One wont mind so much- if she barely feels your alien weight on her shoulders?..~
'..you're too kind.. but that might just make make them nervous instead.'
~..very well.~ She clasped her arms around Rouchlo's torso and ancors her legs back and up across and inbetween the fanning green spikes and scales. With quite expert skill, her ease gave her away.. no doubt she had riden a similar mount. As they took off, the wind screaming in her sensitive ears, Maero couldn't help but feel a rush and a bubble of excited laughter burst from her mouth without her permission. The cool air felt much better after so much walking, and her long hair flowed behind her like a silken chestnut cape.
Sulfur would feel a tingle of electrical sensation coming from the girl once they touched. She felt like an individual- and yet not. Her presence, and another brushed across her senses when the human clamped down onto her scales for better grip. She was alone- yet not alone. It was all too strange.
Maero opened her eyes, and smiled brightly, almost euphorically at the sky that whizzed passed them. She felt something in the back fo her mind. '..not Jealous are you?'
~ Me?.. never- I'm just thinking, it should be me who takes you aloft, to make sulfure bear you in the air seems unfair. I should be able to handle my responsability.. not be rendered to a mere bystander as my Rider takes off on another Dragons back.~
'...you're jealous...'
~ I am not- I'm just...bored. I want to fly too! I feel your glee, the air on your skin, the coolness through your hair, and it drives me mad. My wings itch to flap freely.~
'..maybe later- if this lake they're taking us to, has a channel flowing nearby- we can use that. Then properly greet these two. Sound fair?'
A pause, and then a metaphysical shrug, Eleniel agreed.

The desert seemed like an endless wave of sparkling jewels from the air, and the small outpost just a blemish on the landscape, However Susanoo did not seem interested in the beautiful landscape as he laid on the back of his flying companion. Tenchi soared over the barren landscape, casting his shadow upon the ground. Then, without so much as a warning, Tenchi Flew straight up and did a 180 degree turn while spinning clockwise, sending Susanoo off of his back and free falling in the air. Susanoo flipped over and was falling feet first when Tenchi came back around and caught him on his back. Susanoo remained standing on his comrades back, despite the high winds from their velocity, tapping his foot in slight irratation.
"You know I hate it when you do that, Tenchi..." He growled out, his dragon looked back, with his version of a knowing sneer. As the two did not share a mental link, they had found another way to communicate and could easily read each others body langauge. Susanoo peered over the side of Tenchi, at the desert below, shaking his head
"I hate it here...no grass...no cover...our green asses stick out like a sore thumb" Susanoo remarked as he adjusted his robe, making sure it was on straight after Tenchi had thrown him off. As Susanoo brought his eyes back to the skies, he noticed another dragon in the air...with two riders, Susanoo took a few steps foward on his dragons' back and kneeled down, squinting his eyes to make sure he was seeing properly
"Curious...Two Riders? One Dragon? .....Take us next to them Tenchi, this bears investigating" He said, Tenchi looked back and rolled his eyes, but did as he was ordered, his powerful wings pushing them ever closer until he broke right and was flying right next to the other Dragon. Susanoo patted his back as a sign of thanks and turned to the riders and bowed gracefuly to them
"Greetings, O'wanderers of the Skies..." He broke off as he stared at the woman on the dragon. 'No novice to flying, that is for sure...But...where is her dragon?' He glanced around, but saw no other dragon...perhaps something was amiss here, and he turned back to the two, while one hand went inside his robe and clasped one of the daggers he had tightly. "Perhaps you should explain why you're riding together...or would you rather I make assumptions?" He moved one leg back and his other infront of it, incase he needed to make a move, and quickly. He stared at them, awaiting their answer.

"Rouchlos!" Sulfurs voice rips into the young mans head a few minuets till the new rider cam into the normal field of view. their speed and skill in the air meant that they had been riding for a while. but the way they moved was a bit particular to the both of them. Sulfur was starting to get a bit anxious with all the new company, and now she was sharing her sky's with another beast of the same color. sure she was a substantial amount larger but she just was not used to seeing another winged beast, and getting the chance to see one this close made her both happy, but worry some because she knew what she was both in se, and in talent. a killer through and through.
"Calm your self my dear," Rouchlos soothes as he softly places a hand in between her scales, being able to touch the soft delicate skin beneath the shell. the feeling though mall as it was got the dragon to concentrate more on the thermal plumes and make her flight more stable. "If they were here for a fight they would have come from the back, not the side."
Watching the young rider come up on them and demand that they explain themselves even make his blood boil a bit. enough to distract him from the fact that His guest was riding nearly like a pro. "How long has she been riding i wonder....could she have been bait?!" Sulfur questions aimlessly.
"I dont know my dear. if she was we'll find out soon enough. Smiling softly to the feeling of his dragon heating up, he whispered " Grant me the serpent’s eyes" under a sigh. looking at the boy with his eyes quickly shifting into the grotesque and un-natural look of his dragons sight he smiled softly as the man reached for his weapon. "humph... he is a young rider." Rouchlos thinks to himself as he nudges Sulfur slightly closer to the the man and his beast. "Isn't it simple? her dragon is nowhere to be seen, and ether it doesn't want to come back to her side or it cant makes no difference..." Pausing for a moment he looked forwards seeing the rim of the lake start to come into view, as the land scape shifted into a parched and near barren grasslands. "We were just going for a bit of hunting, and rest. if you'd like you can join us and we can talk on more, neutral grounds with food in our stomachs and water filling our cups, sound fair?"

A strong force of magic sliced through the quiet desert air, straight into the outpost. Even the simple outpost people stop for moment, unsure of the feeling they felt that was gone quickier than they felt it. It was quickly forgotten and shrugged off as a feeling of deja view in the outpost as the people went on with their lives.
However, to three individuals the feeling was immense and very much noticed. Two beings, despite the simplicity of the spell used, were using an shookingly amazing amount of magic to cast the spell to called out to one another over great distances between them. These two beings were not beginners and beings from deep within the past and forgotten world. Perhaps even from the time of the king rang and farther back. The conversation must have been short for the spell ending quickly after it was cast, leaving no trace to be tracked back too.
*Outpost Border*
A lone man on a brown horse sat quietly on one for the outposts many cliffs over hanging the vast desert. His head was bowed and eyes gently shut as he canceled the spell and took a moments breath. Even with his talent and mastery, sending a call all the way to Carvahall was a hell of a job to do. The toll was felt but quickly brushed off and he gather up his strength once more, stretching his shoulders and neck to rid him of the tension in the muscles there.
Brom stared off toward the Spire Mountains that still held as much freciousity as they day they were born. Even from here the mountain range could strike fear into the common or uncommon person's heart alike. "You are alive," he muttered quietly as pulled the reins to make his horse turned towards Bullridge. He had spent three hundred years looking for her, and now he was finally close enough for her to hear his call. Damn woman really meant what she said about fading into the wood work and being forgotten. Maybe he could change her mind. He remember their time together so long ago. Her will faded far quicker than his, especailly with the lost of her dragon that came and fast, but he never had the chance to tell her to wait a bit longer so the both of them could wait out the world together. After all, he knew her since she was a child, and she was really the only person he could bare to be around now, and...well...then too... Hell, he was probably just a lonely old bugger that wanted some company or wanted to have one more challenge ahead of him with trying to keep her will to live going once more before he kicked it himself. Who the hell knew why he sought her out to badly. In the back of Brom's head, a mini version of himself answered his stubborness easily, knowing full well of his reason for searching for her...
Brom chuckled, shaking his head as he dismounted his horse and leading it into the outpost himself. He looked for the lone inn called Ramr. It was easily found, the red structure stuck out like a sore thumb. He was greeted by one of the inn's workers.
"How may we help you wary traveller," chimed the young woman.
Wary was an understatment as Brom spoke, "Stable room, I don't really trust my horse being lone in this place." The woman looked taken back by the words but nodded and showed him to his quarters. The inn was nothing but rooms, so even the stables had rooms built partically right next to the stalls and sometimes the stalls were even in the rooms. "Here ya go," said Brom tossing her a few coins before closing the door. A few minutes later he left the building, place a simple, but not easily noticeable, sheild around the room. Last he needed was to find a horse on this place. "Now, where can you find a good drink," question Brom as he looked outpost.
((It is wonderful to see two new members posting. Please keep it up and have fun!!!!!!! Oh, question to miss Tsubasa...you do have a seperate dragon somewhere in the desert correct, not that the dragon is inside of you and that you can change into one? I really hope it is that latter. sweatdrop Sorry, but I perfer not to have anyone able to change into dragon, besides my character, at the moment. Please understand...no hurt please... gonk ))

Susanoo wasn't quite convinced, and became more uncomfertable with the way the mans eyes seem to shift into Dragon eyes for a brief moment, he leaned down and whispered to Tenchi "We haven't fought in an airborne battle before...perhaps we should follow them to this lake. the lake is bound to have more cover for us should things turn dicey" Tenchi nodded his head in agreement and Susanoo stood up, nodding "Perhaps it would be for the best. We shall join you, I'm called Susanoo, and the green one is Tenchi, and you three are...?" Susanoo asked, his hand releasing it's grip upon his dagger and coming back to his side. as he awaited their reply, he felt the magic resonate through out the desert, but when he tried to pin point the source using his own magic powers, he could not, he kneeled down again, whispering to Tenchi once more "Did you feel that...? the strong blast of magic?" he asked quietly, Tenchi nodded again "it's gone now...whatever it was can wait, we should follow these three and see what is what" He stood back up, brushing his robe off and crossed his arms across his chest, waiting for their names.

"My name is Rouchlos, Rouchlos Litcht. My dragon is named Sulfur, and her name is Maero." Rouchlos responds keeping his body calm from the blast. even though his mind and heart were lit ablaze with hunger. so many questions raced over his soul as he pulled back softly on Sulfurs reins getting her to hover in the sky. a uncomfortable as a ride as it was with the constant rise and fall of her wing beats Rouchlos sat undaunted as one of his hand was softly clenched to his chest holding on to the end of the necklace that rested underneath his clothing. "My king?.." is the first thing that cut into his mind. and his head turns towards the out post. trying to look like he forgot something, Sulfur nudges him forwards, her hunger was starting to get the better of he and she knew that they need to keep up the appearance that they meant no harm, witch so long as they were not troubled or harmed was true. reluctantly he lets his dragon fly on as he slowly peals his head from the now invisible bull ridge outpost.
"Would your king wish for such a grand entrance my lord? who ever that was, they were trying to find someone. im sure your king would have no need for that."
"I know sulfur, but if that power has returned, than my liege is not far behind him. our troops must be prepared for his entrance."
"All in good time rider, for now you have guests. and the grassy fields breath with the clean clear breeze" Sulfur finishes off her voice cutting into a joyous tone as she dove straight down from their perch in the sky. her blood nearly boiling with excitement as she spotted her first prey.
"come on." Rouchlos comments quickly after she had started her dive. not waiting for questions nor to answer them he lifts Maero from her perch in between her scales and leaps from the ravaging beasts back. with the dragons tail whipping past them in a rush of wind and plenty of sky left between them and the ground, anyone would have snapped into fear at the sight of the free fall. but sticking his hand out in front of him. Rouchlos starts whispering a chant to himself making sure no one could hear him, even a dragons ears would not be clear enough to understand him, his hand stretched out, his fingers extending to their max before he opened his eyes, a strange green glow flowed over his skin like a Myst. but below them the land scape was changing slowly almost like he was drawing it up towards them, but shortly after wards a large jet of wool supported by strong vines wrapped around the two riders gently gliding them to the ground. "am i still that weak?" were the last things to go through his mind before his eyes rolled shut form the sudden strain of his magics. still his spell would hold out till their feet touched on the ground the magic fading away in the breeze as Sulfur gorged herself on a few of the near animals. *edit* The lake that they landed at was more of a river than anything else. because that is what it was just a few miles out of eyes and ear shot of the town of bullridge the river took a straight south path, and widened out considerably. letting the current slow to a near halt the sides of the bans over the years had formed a small beach like angle and soil makeup. the distance from the last known plot of civilization made this one of the safest places that Sulfur could be more of her wild self hunting eating and even wallowing in the tall grasses when it came time for her to sleep. Rouchlos had just nick named this little plot a lake because the water once you were inside it seamed so vast in depth and breath, calling it a river seamed cruel to natures gift to the border of hell.
((Relena, the way i under stand it Tsubasa's dragon is inside her but she does not transform. not like you do. her body stays the same but her dragon is manifest in its true form but only for a little while.... i think but correct me if im wrong Tsubasa))

((Correct Morti. Yes like he said Relina, Maero and her Dragon are indeed seperate individuals, but her dragon is inside her, mostly the same way a normal Dragon can be inside their riders head- just a step closer. It's in the profile description. It's like a possessive spirit- however, the Rider is a vessel, when they use the spell "Bright Circle" they create the split, and a gate appears using the the Rider at the Catalyst, the Dragon emerges like a fish coming out of water and takes solid physical form. Try to imagine there is the real world, and the spirit one, seperated by glass. The Spirit dragon dwells on the other side of a glass wall, while the Rider exists on the other side. By reaching out the same way Riders normally do mentally, this dragon can take partial-inhabitance inside the Riders mind, look through their eyes and such- but in order to appear the Rider uses a spell that opens a crack for the Dragon to pass through. You'll see what I mean soon... but no- Maero isn't a Dragon. Her Dragon is just..weird. You could say "Yes- she Is seperate and somewhere else.".))
Mearo held on, her long chestnut hair blew in the screaming wind about her soft face. The sun setting it's highlights ablaze as if fire existed in the tiny strands. She could see something in the distance. She could feel it coming closer, watching, closing in, like one senses eyes on their back..
~They're comming..~
' Who Eleniel?'
~ Others... others like us.. this is going to be interesting..~
When the other great beast flanked their side, it's rider looking upon them assessing the obscure situation, she flushed in the cheeks. Was he really going to attack? Did he think she was in danger or something?... how sweet. But no, she quickly shok her head, risking to let one hand go to make a peaceful geasture. " Thankyou for your concern Brave Rider, but he tells the truth- my Dragon is..erm..indesposed right now. She shall join us when we get food and energy. Thankyou." She could feel the scales between ehr legs grow slightly heated, was Sulfur upset?
~Good reason to be....what trouble we've caused already.~
' Dont' start... this isn't your fault.'
~ I didn't say I felt it was my fau-~
' You don't have to silly!.. '
~....Maero... I should be better then this. After all this time. I've not grown strong enough to stay on the outside.. why must I keep suing you like this?~
'..the blame is partially mine as well, and you know it. I'm not a Strong enough Rider to keep you with me..'
"aaagh!" Suddenly something struck her, invisable, powerful. Maero shuddered, and gripped the back of Sulfure tightly asthe spell blow through and past her. But leaving the young woman obviously destrubed and startled. She nearly lost her grip! She shuddered witht he obvious effect it had on her. When the Dragon hovered in the air when they paused, she looked down at the ground.
"..that was..unexpected." she whispered.
~ Indeed~
Maero looked towards Susanoo and Tenchi, wondering if they felt that strange spell as well. They both looked alright, it made Maero feel alittle selfconcious, she must look so weak int heir eyes, all frazzeled like that. But the magic.. she'd always been linked strongly to it. Ever since Eleniel came into her life.It wa slike a slap in the face, and she wasn't prepared for it. When they dove she held on, only to be shifted up and into Rouchlos's arms. Then he leaped!! Was he crazy?! She shut her eyes tightly, hearing the mental roar of dislike from Eleniel as her partner panic reached her, and the wind screamed passed them as they fell. Only to slow? Maero chanced to open on eye.. and saw the spell weaving the plants to catcht heir plummet like helping hands to the earth below. She looked up at him, her mismatched eyes wide in thankful surprize. She could see the strain on him, and her eyes creased in worry. Above them, the shapes of Tenchi and Susanoo, her Rider loomed above like a hawk, circling.

Have fun heart
edit: There is no seperate lake thread as there is no seperate thread for each river. Lakes, Rivers, mountain peaks, etc are generally within an already made thread for posting on. Meaning, if a lake, or whatever, is close to town then it is associated with the already made thread for that town and so forth. For example: Leona Lake would be in the same thread for the Capital, Dras Leona, so you would post for both spots in the same thread. Just be clear of how you move around and where you are so people understand you are at the nearby lake and not in a settlement and vice versa. wink Now if a particular spot is used greatly then I might considered making a seperate thread for it, but currently there is no such thing. Besides, the only water related area next to Bullridge is the Ramr River that flows around the outpost and seperates it from the Desert. 3nodding The encyclopedia has a map there for you to use! Also, each thread had an introduction post at the very beginning that should be read to you know what is going on and what is around. )))

Susanoo watched in silent anger as Rochlos used his magic to save him and Maero from certain death after his careless stunt, without saying anything, he pointed down at them and Tenchi started to lower himself down. as they reached the top of the trees, Susanoo jumped off his dragon, chanting to himself "Shield or weapon...I bend the wind to my will" and four pale green orbs started to circle him, as he was in free fall, the ground was coming up fast it certaintly looked like Susanoo was going to splatter himself all over the ground, when he suddenly shouted "The wind will not allow you to advance...go back to where you came from, Cur!" and shot his left palm straight up, the orbs went to the ground beneath him and suddenly brusted open., the wind started to gust straight upwards, slowing his fall greatly. he floated like a feather and touched the ground, the green orbs having completely disapated. he glanced over at the passed out Rochlos and cracked his neck. he was unhappy with the way he had handled his magic, and he probaly terrified Maero as well. Tenchi circled over head until he was sure his friend was safe, and then went off in search of his own food. Susanoo walked over to Maero, adjusting his robes to make sure they were on straight. "Are you alright? that looked like one hell of a fall, even with the magic slowing you down." he asked, with genuie concern in his voice. she looked very young, and was probaly not used to magic affecting her. he then looked at Rouchlos, a frown coming to his face "I think he was trying to show off for you, either that, or Mr. Litcht has a very, very sick sense of humor..." He turned back to Maero, bowing to her. "Since he wanted to answer for you, allow me to properly reintroduce myself. I am called Susanoo, Free spirit of the skies, I work for no kingdom or city, i'm just a vagabond who is content to spend his days in the endless blue. I'm pleased to have met you." He stood upright, a soft smile on his face as he looked at her and awaited her response.

Maero was indeed a little shaken up- mostly due to the fact she hadn't been in that exact situation before. Plummeting without the comforting presence of her dragon overshadowing her. She'd fallen from Eleniels back before, but she was always there to catch her with ease.
Craning her neck up to peer at him, Maero's first thing to notice about Susanoo, was the fact of how tall he was! In comparison to herself, and even Rouchlos. He had deep set hazel eyes, and a startlingly rich green mane of hair that trailed down his back. Most people would find this attributes desturbing perhaps, but being someone with odd features of her own, she couldn't be one to judge. At this close of a distance he'd be able to see her mismatching eyes and the strange rune etching beneath the odd color.
" I'm alright-if not a bit winded. I was caught more of gaurd by that spell that passed over us... then anything else." she replied looking back towards the river bank. It was beautiful here... very calm and safe.
Returning the bow after he introduced himself, she allowed herself a little more of an introduction. " As you know.. I'm am Maero, Maero Ara. I've no other alias... except for one. But I've not heard it in a long time." She looked up at the sky above them for a moment, her thoughts drifting...a flicker of dim light illuminated the odd pale eye on her right.
:::EDIT::: Maero leaned down and made sure that the unconcious rider was alright. A bit winded, and he'd sleep for a while perhaps, but he was alright. She propped his head on something soft and let him rest it off.
"...a vagabond..isn't a fitting title for someone like you. You have too much dignity. And Rouchlos may have a strange sense of humer..but I owe him my life for coming across me in the desert..." she said, rising to her feet, then turned to the river again and starting walking towards it.
"..if not..I'd not be able to introduce my companion to you both."
~ Are you sure?~
' I'm sure... We can trust them.. I can feel it.'
~..very well. I sense a channel beneath the river.. get closer.. and let me do the rest. I long to stretch my wings.~

Susanoo followed behind Maero, at a respectful distance. Running his hand behind his neck, he flipped out his hair, freeing a few strands that had been caught in his robe. He glanced over his shoulder at Rouchlos, content to leave him there. As far as he was concerned, the fool got what he deserved...actualy, Susanoo wanted to pummel him, but decided agianst it. After all, his Dragon sure didn't look friendly, and he wasn't sure Tenchi could take Sulfur. He turned his gaze back towards Maero, some thoughts racing in his mind as he looked at the back of her head. 'She seems a bit hesistant to fully trust me...then again, how can I judge her? I am, after all, living under an assumed name...she thinks i'm a man with Dignity, but i'm really just a vagabond hiding from his past...'
He shook his head slightly to clear his thoughts and started to gaze around the area. Tall grass, beautiful trees, and the sounds of a river nearby made him feel more comfertable. "I love places like this" He said idly, not really expecting a response "I should bring Tenchi out this way more often..." he trailed off as he thought about what Maero has said and stopped walking. "Miss Ara, What did you mean by meeting your Companion?" he asked, he glanced around, there was no sign of anyone else around. he awaited her response, albeit with some reservations

Waking up a shortly after Maero walked towards the shore line Rouchlos gently gripped his head in slight pain. "youve got to stop doing that Sulfur."
"I didn't do anything... you touched my skin remember? you poisoned yourself. why i dont know, maybe to hide your skills from these people?"
Letting out a long sigh Rouchlos sat up wrapping one of his arms around a leg he propped up. looking at the young looking man with a slight discomfort to the colors of his chosen, but no matter he was his own man and seemed vary capable on his own. he'd have to to survive any amount of time with a dragon that was able to fly.
"May i ask you something Susanoo?" Rouchlos comments as he looks at his feet his fingers softly playing with the laces there to make sure the laces and straps were holding. his eyes now locked on Maero watching her with the water reflecting the sun light towards him.

Susanoo whirled around, having quite forgotten that Rouchlos was there, as he turned to face him he brought out his twin Knuckle Daggers gripping them tightly. until he realized it was only Rouchlos...he stood upright and put his daggers back into his robe.
"Don't scare me, unless you WANT me to end your life, And if you ever pull a stunt like that again, and I happen to witness it, you and I are going to have a very serious problem. If your magic had given out, you and Miss Ara would be as flat as the pancakes I make for breakfast. You want to risk your own life, fine by me, but the second you put an innocent person at risk, That is where I start to have big problems, and frankly, you don't want that. Now, what do you want to ask me?"
Susannos' anger came bubbling up, he was really not in the mood to deal with Rouchlos, but, sense he was waiting on Maero, he had no choice.

"pshhh... kill me? a young brat like your self probably couldn't lay a scratch on me." Rouchlos thinks to himself as he stands up himself, slow and calmly making it look like his strength was combing back to him. "How long do you think you can hold on to the dream of fighting for no side when you have so much power at your finger tips?"
