Hello, sorry for not replying yet Shas, I'm working on an essay... But Taro! If you could PM me your history, and either state why you're starting your journey at 17 ... or whatever ... or state where you've come from and your accomplishments thus far, then you don't need to necessarily start with a young pokemon.

Hmm...I show how his journey started and what he was when he was younger...... Nah it's fine. It will be fun to have a young pokemon!

Before I reply I have something to say:
How do you think we should measure leveling pokemon? Should it be something like x number of battles to level? Or should I measure a version of Exp.? (( gonk ^ Don't pick dat, pweeze! ^ )) Or should we measure a percentile version of Exp.? Or what are your thoughts?
Also, I'm going to be adding extra fields in the character bucket and assign you a certain amount of funds, and keep track of your party and your items.
Now,
@kitzu: I haven't had essays numbered by words yet, only pages; but that sounds like a lot! whee
@Taro: Like, you want to be a beta-tester after high school? Or while enduring its BS?

hmmm i don't really know how you should do levelng up. number of battles sounds pretty good. but you'll have to take into account the level of the pokemon you are fighting, if you are level 20 d win against a level 30 then you shouldn't have to fight as many battles and the more you level the longer it should take, like at the begining with a level five pokemon, it should only take one battle to level up and with a level 10 pokemon it should take five battles or something like that. but that's just me.
really? you've never had a essay determined by words? it's like 5 1/2-7 pages with the min and max lenght of the essay. it REALLY sucks. i had to turn it in today and was like...300ish words short. >< blegh.

Mostly I was thinking of random numbers. And crap for the Exp. But don't mind me xD.
Also what do you mean BS? Also I want to be a best tester when I get high-speed. In school or out of school.

I find my high-school experience a bit fun....at times. I still got another two more grades until I am done. Also I don't know where to write now for my character.

Well you can either go to the Pokemart if you feel you need items, or otherwise move onto Trek 1 - which is described in its appropriate OOC thread. And I know, High school isn't ALL bad ... but it's pretty bad.
And thanks again, kitzu!!

((omg, my first post in the guild))
So, since it seems most people here so far are in college (I am). So that means that most of us got into Pokemon with the original Red/Blue and first season of the TV show? Kanto rules.
And I think that the leveling up system is an awesome idea (not that it matters much to a Pokemon Photographer). The other Pokemon guilds I'm in are rather loose with their rping. One basically just has completely separate stories. The other has cities, and gym leaders, but there aren't really any rules on battling, and catching wild Pokemon, etc. I think this guild is very well thought out and organized, I can't wait to get started in it! (Also, the option of being a photographer and a 'drifter' will allow me much more freedom than I had in other guilds).
