Song quietly crept into the greenhouse, trying not to disturb Neko and Ari. It had been awhile since she'd visited Phili, what with the search and the new parents, and she didn't want her sprite to feel neglected. Poking around the aisle a bit, she found the little philodendron. Sticking her hand in front of one of the misters, she flicked a few drops of water onto its leaves.
"Hey Phili, it's me. You awake?"
The sprite poked her ead sleepily from beneath one of the leaves. "I am now. What'cha want?" Phili sounded somewhat bored and sleepy.
"Well, I wanted to let you know how everything was going. Pink's got a new caretaker...Kitten will be out for a bit, she's sick. Oh, and the new parents have all been introduced. Would you like to take a walk? I've got a bit of a hankering to just walk among the trees awhile without having something I have to do."
Phili hopped up, stretched, and climbed up Song's arm. From the shoulder, she slid down into the pocket in the breast of Song's labcoat. "Sounds good to me...off and away, then!"
Song pondered which way to go, then decided to go around to the Quad and get in some sunlight first.

Taneko silently opened the door to the greenhouse. Without much thought, she quickly made her way down the aisles of plants, already knowing the way to her little sprite's plant by heart. After the fight against the spiders -which ended quite suddenly- Taneko had taken Ari back to the greenhouse and her orchid. There, they had both gotten themselves clean. Taneko had noticed that Ari's plant was starting to look a bit tired. It almost looked... sad? Perhaps it was following the mood of the sprite, seeing as Ari was still affected by the fight they had had earlier that day. Taneko had stayed the remainder of the day, just talking with her sprite about everything and nothing, and writing a journal entry in their journal. When night-time came, she had promised to return again, early the next morning.
Ari woke up as she heard Taneko walk toward her plant. She yawned, stretched and rubbed her violet eyes before getting up to greet her guardian. Silently watching her make her way, Ari noticed that Taneko had a rucksack slung over her shoulder. She couldn't help but be curious what was in it.
When Taneko finally arrived at her orchid, she saw that her sprite was already awake. "Hello sweetie" she said "how are we today? Had a nice sleep?". Ari just nodded, still too groggy to answer. Taneko just smiled at her, and sat down on a chair that she had found a few meters away. "I have a very special treat for you today" Taneko said, her eyes lighting up as she opened the bag. This could wake Ari up. "Oooh... you brought something for me?!" she said exitedly "what is it? Show me, show me, show me!" Taneko couldn't help but laugh good-naturedly at Ari's enthusiasm.
Out of her bag she pulled a bottle of clear liquid. The surprised and then puzzled look on Ari's face when she saw it was priceless. "What is THAT?! Is that your surprise? Water?" Still smiling Taneko answered "Well. This is part of your surprise." at this Ari's eyes lighted up again, but before she could start asking what the rest of it was, Taneko continued "And its not just water. I noticed yesterday how your plant was starting to look a little tired" at this Ari looked at her plant and gave an agreeing nod "and I read somewhere that they need special caretaking. So I brought this!" She put the bottle on the table and unscrewed the lid "Well what IS it then?" "Well... its cold, boiled water, blended with some special fertilizer, developed especially for orchids! It should make your plant grow faster and be more healthy" Taneko answered as she started watering the plant.
Getting a few droplets on her, Ari shaked herself before answering "Oh. Well thats nice. Thank you, I guess." it was quite obvious that Ari did not find this particuarly interesting. Of course she found it important that her plant was taken properly care of, but she had hoped that her friend had brougth something for her.
Taneko just continued watering the plant and after swiping out a scissor and cutting off some of the dying leaves, she started to pluck the newly arrived weed out of the pot. She wouldn't have the plant look bad anymore, and she felt calm, standing here, fuzzing over the plant. It wasn't long before the plant looked completely polished. She made sure that the stem was securely fastened to the bamboo stick planted in the soil to keep the plant from breaking from the weight of the flowers yet-to-come. Not too lose and not too tight. As a final thing, Taneko added just a few balls of normal fertilizer to the plant. She couldn't wait to see the flowers that seemed to be just about ready to go into bloom.
She was well aware of the fact that Ari expected her to give her something more than just water, but she was teasing the little sprite, trying to see how long she would hold out until she asked about the surprise.
It didn't take long. "Well...?" Ari asked. "Well What?" "Well what is the second surprise?" "Second surprise?" Ari was getting annoyed now and she stomped her foot "You said that there was a second part!" Taneko giggled. "I did, didn't I. Well I guess I'll have to give it to you now then" Ari's eyes lid up as Taneko pulled a tiny bundle of cloth out of her bag. It was clothes.

Along with the overall like dress, there were a pair of striped stockings and a pair of ankle high converse-like boots in matching colours.
Jumping up and down -Making her almost incapable of putting the clothes on- Ari dressed herself. It fit perfectly.
"Do you like it?" "Like it?! I LOVE IT!" Ari answered "I'm glad. I hoped it would be colours that would match you"
Climbing up on Taneko's shoulders, Ari gave her the best hug she could. She was so very happy with her new clothes. It was obvious that Taneko was trying hard to make things alright between the two of them again. Ari was happy.
The two girls spent the rest of the day together, talking, drawing and plain just having fun. Perhaps there was hope for building a strong bond between them after all?

Ari was lying quietly on the table as Taneko came storming into the greenhouse and dumped her backpack not-so-silently on the table. Looking up from the drawing she had been working for, Ari scrunched up her nose in a mixture between confusion and annoyance, and whined "what was THAT for?". When the only answer she got was a silent confusion from Taneko, she continued "The random LETS DUMP OUR BACKPACKS ON THE TABLE AS LOUD AS WE CAN-act you just pulled" she continued, rolling her eyes slightly at the elf's obvious denseness, before going back to her drawing.
Taneko bit back a laugh at the little sprites behavior, and just kept silent as she unpacked her bag. She had noticed some gradual changes within the little sprite, and she wasn't sure if Ari could be called an infant anymore. She seemed to be acting like a ten year old kid anyways, and her body had changed a slight bit too. Perhaps the little plant had progressed on to what would be equivalent to a kid. Her plant had changed too. It had grown taller, and was beginning to show what could look like the early stage of a flowerbud.
Ari didn't look up from her drawing again until Taneko took a big brown-ish book out of her bag, and put it in front of her. "Whats that" she said, her face once again marked by confusion. "Well... you said you felt that you had grown out of Ari" Taneko answered her with a smile "so I brought a book that might be able to help you chose your own name" as Ari looked up in surprise, Taneko continued "yes, I'm not going to chose anything for you. You're free to flip around the pages and see if there is anything that talks to you. Each name should have a meaning and origin beside it." she held a short pause before continuing in a much more serious voice "but I want you to think this through carefully sweetie. This time it's for good, understood? Don't pick a name that you'll hate when you grow older. This is the name everybody will know you by."
Ari just nodded with big eyes, and immidiately turned her focus to the book. Taneko watched her flip through pages for a little while before turning to the plant. After attending to the plant by watering it and snipping off some dying leaves, she sat down a took out their journal, jotting down a few details that she felt were missing.
They both sat in silence, flipping through pages, for quite a while. "Calypso". Taneko looked up in surprise. "Excuse me?" she said. "I want my name to be Calypso" Ari said and looked up from the book. Pointing to a word that even upside down clearly said "Calypso" she continued "It says here that the origin is greek, and it means hidden or conceal" she held a small pause "but the best part is that it also means orchid." she looked back up at Taneko "Its perfect!" she concluded.
Taneko was surprised. This was actually a very good name. She had expected her to chose a more girly, childish name. But... Ari was right. Calypso WAS perfect. "Calypso it is then" she said and smiled at the little pink sprite. Ari beamed with hapiness before she returned to her drawing, humming little melodies to herself.
