Dave withdrew his hand, instead bowing a little bit. "It's an honor to meet you, Cass, I'm sure. He hardly ever pulls stuff like this anymore. You must be very special indeed. "In any case, is it alright if I ask you to follow me? I'd like to show you around some places. It's extremely important to know exactly where not to go in this place. If you don't listen to this, you could end up in a very painful situation. And the worst part is... down here, you don't die."

Cass glared at Dave, even though it was obvious that he was only trying to be nice. "Brilliant. I'm in an incredibly dangerous place and I'm now an immortal. Oh I just love my parents!" she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Feh," Dave started, not missing a beat. "Being an immortal isn't all that special. Everyone gets to be immortal. After they die, of course. Anyways, I'm going to show you the subterranean tunnels first- they're fine until lights out. So feel free to explore them, just make sure to get out well before they turn off the lights." He looked a little stiff, a bit peeved at Cass for being so rude, but unwilling to let it show.

(( <.< ))
Dave hesitantly held out a hand before shaking his head and withdrawing it. "Come on, it's this way." He led her through the chasm, eventually stopping at an opening, just like any other in the chasm. It led about a quarter-mile in, then splintered off into seven different tunnels. "Lights out isn't for another eight and a half hours or so. You want to come in? I'll go with you or stay out here, whatever you want. It's rather pretty in there, if you know the way."

She stared at Dave for a moment and blinked a few times before answering. "Suuuuuure," she said, "lets go in." She walked randomly inot the second tunnel from the left.

He tapped his foot impatiently as they entered. They weren't supposed to go this way, she was supposed to just follow him. But whatever. This was a chance to explore some, right? He stepped into the tunnel, which was vaguely illuminated by something blue a couple yards in front of them. It looked like a reflection of something. Maybe it was the amephire commonly found in the tunnels? Or perhaps the bedding for a nest of sleeping demons? Ah well. It seemed pretty all the same, no matter what the origin. "Let's go right," he muttered. Not really a question, it was more of a demand; he led her forward, grasping her wrist lightly, and stepped forward before turning. He peeked around the corner, and saw it was indeed a demon nest. It was only a small bat-like demon, however, and all alone; that was pretty unusual. Still, it being impossible to wake them during the day, he stepped forward casually. The nest was a bed of crystals, not the indigo color of amephire, but clear in variety. They were merely reflecting the blue demon's skin. "It's pretty, no? Don't worry about the little guy too much. Until lights out he can't even wake up. And he's alone, which is pretty safe, too. I could take him out if I needed to!"

Cass just stared at him. "You're right," she consented, "That was pretty." However, even agreeing with him that once, she still dragged her feet and leaned away from him. Sorry, but she didn't feel like getting eaten by a vampire even in her dreams.

Dave frowned, waving a hand at the clear crystals. "Seriously. Loosen up and relax, or I'm going to have to use my mystical vampire powers to pull a Willow on you!" he said jestingly, suddenly pretending to lunge at her, fangs bared in a smile.

Cass' hand collided with Dave's face. "No, I won't," she said, crossing her arms.

(( Yeesh. She likes to slap, doesn't she? )) Dave recoiled harshly, holding a hand to his face. He turned his face away from her, eyes a little distant as he rushed off. He disappeared around the nest, leaving a couple of dimly visible footprints. (( Yeesh, whatta pansy. ))

She did not want to be lost in that place when night fell. She had a really bad feeling about it . . .

Damian grabbed Cass by the waist in his right hand, holding both of her hands in his left, sort of twirling her and leaning her back as what could only be described as a playful ambush. "No more slapping, please. Dave is very sensitive." His blue skin was a bit dimmer than it had been earlier, like it was getting darker in the chasm... and, in fact, it was. "You've been in there for a good seven hours. Time works differently in there, you know. And now I'm going to have to rush in and save him if he doesn't come back soon." His eyes glinted dangerously, and it was obvious he was being soft on her.

She just wanted to curl up in her own bed and go to sleep and wake up from this horrble nightmare.

"Really? I'm going to have to yell at him for that, then. After you apologize of course. 'Cause you're coming with me to apologize, or you're staying out here and waiting for me to take him out so you can apologize. Your choice. Then I'll show you to your quarters. "I would advise that you come with me, though... you'll at least have me around if we've got demons coming at us. Out here... well, this is hell. What do you expect?"
