Accuracy of short range attacks aside...
Chen hops to the right and forward instead of backwards while having his facing keep to the incoming Crawley. His left hand would bash the left end at Crawley's left bicep from above while moving past his left side, as his right hand swings the end at Crawley's lower back upon getting just to the left of him. He made sure he bent his waist back so he could avoid that left arm if it tried to attack or grab for him.

Crawley dropped low and redirected himself based upon Chen's changing of direction. Though it looked like was gonna go past the guy. Like.. right past him. Seriously. The stick meant for his left bicep would clip him hard on the collarbone making him feel a little numb but it wouldn't matter for this next movement. Because the trick was, Crawley's left arm was hooked out... set to hook around the inside of Chen's left leg. There's also Chen dropping his stance... making this easier almost.. As he passed right by the guy he 'swung around' the shin, rough sliding across the grating by his back before kicking his legs back up through Chen's and crossing over his left leg at the hip. Turning so violently while he did it, he'd 'botch' the actual beauty of the technique and curl his legs into Chen's knee to put him to the ground. But that wasn't the important part. The real important part was that Crawley was going to violently torque Chen's left heel counter clockwise, sending the toes in.. then back out. So easy... so fast... and not many muscles are hard dedicated to resisting the movement.. it is likely that the shin would be twisted to the inside indefinitely, breakage at the knee. [x]

Chen felt the arm going around his left leg. But the leg was not set there in front of him. Bending his waist back naturally had the feet went further with the movement. As minor as it was, it did assist in him not getting an immediate hold with his arm. With Crawley on his back and his legs yet to come up, he basically has his left knee fall down to fall onto Crawley's chest and pin his upper body to the floor to keep him from moving any further, his ankle yet to be grabbed as Crawley's left arm is caught inbetween Chen's left calf and thigh. He knew what a person meant when they went for the leg: a ground game. And because his leg prematurely would fall before Crawley could get a grip of it, it'll keep him from controlling it.
With him knelt like this, his left arm came down to have the wood press under Crawley's chin and against the neck, left fist centering the force so that his knuckles were against the trachea, the rest of the stick angled low and to the ground to Crawley's right. And with the other end, his right hand regaining grip of it, he bashes it once, twice, three times at the top of Crawley's skull, aiming for the face, the forehead, and the temple.
Ah, heck, he'll do this continuously to try to break his opponent's skull and get some blood going, aiming occasionally at the crown of the skull.

Bad move. Crawley used his right hand to push Chen's fat a** as soon as he did this to scrub out from under him and turn onto his feet taking Chen's leg back somewhat, freeing himself completely. But it wasn't over. He quickly turned over, pressing his chest onto Chen's back as he slid his arms in around his kneeling opponent's hips. There, with this back position secure, Crawley took a breather... phew.

As Crawley pushed against Chen's firm butt cheeks, he still had one more limb to worry about before he could move away, which was Chen's left hand. As it was meant to come down to press against Crawley's neck, the movement to push him away will have Chen let go of the wood and open his hand to grasp Crawley's neck, pushing his weight down on it. What does happen is that this outright stops him from falling altogether, his left knee still somewhat on the chest, the left side of it, since he resists against the push. Crawley wasn't leaving that easily. He started this ground game. The Asian was going to end it.
Chen would pull with his right hand to move the rest of the staff his way. Since Crawley was still right there still in front of him, on the ground, Chen would do as he was still intending: bash Crawley repeatedly into the head until he tried something else.

Chen Ning Crawley wasn't leaving that easily. He started this ground game. The Asian was going to end it. Oh? Crawley never bothered to defend his face. He just had both hands on Chen's leg. His right hand move to grip around ball of Chen's foot/shoe whatever and the left was coiled around the calf but gripping the right arm. Now here is where Chen would have to decide. Because what was coming would be one of the most painful things he would ever experience in his life. Crawley began to torque the foot to the outside, counter-clockwise violently. Even as his face reddened with blood, choking, and being hit. If Chen didn't roll himself off of Crawley, at least to the side to push him away with his left foot... then Chen's right leg would be broken at the knee indefinitely. This wasn't mma with rules and sportsmanship.. and Crawley was going to waste no time ******** that s**t up by jerking the hell out of it if necessary.. And Crawley also wasn't going to wait for a tap. Torque, torque, torque hard... the pain that was coming would be so sharp and immediate. And there weren't really any muscles designed to resist against the movement

Now this was truly a brutal moment, one that would show the glory of that of bloodbath. Chen felt the pressure on his left foot. The foot was pressed to the ground, upper part flat out due to his leg being knelt against Crawley's chest, but it was still a viable part of a submission. And thus, Chen felt the wrenching pain of his ankle being twisted. Now, it wouldn't twist his knee because his calf was secure in tension with the bend of his left leg against that chest. But it still made it possible for his ankle to be placed out of lock. But it wasn't going to be immediate, which gave Chen just the upper hand he needed.
"Gaarrrrrr!"
Chen's face twisted as much as his ankle was being twisted, showing agony, yet showing will against enduring the pain. As a result, his left hand tightens the hold on Crawley's neck, his weight bearing down on it, placing Crawley into a chokehold naturally. The veins in both his left arm and neck show as they bulge. And with it, Chen continued to beat at Crawley's head, aiming for the more vital spots of the skull. Because striking the head repeatedly with the strikes of a wooden stick was more important than having his foot in a submission.

Lol no. His leg being against Crawley's chest has nothing to do with it. This was a heel hook.. and that shin was gonna break off from the knee. And it'd be as immediate as someone jerking something.
As previously mentioned, there's no muscles that are strong enough to be dedicated to the task of keeping the lower half of his leg from being snapped off to the side off his knee. This wasn't a kneebar. And Chen apparently didn't know much about what having your shin ripped apart from your knee was like, because such a thing was much more pressing than being hit.
Chen was choking him pretty fiercely. Straight armed too. Chen had better be careful. Because that arm could go really quickly too... without submission. This was Crawley we were talking about.
Putting hands on him is like asking to have them broken.
As Crawley torqued that leg, he managed to grate his back out from under Chen's left leg.. sliding off as he continued the submission.

Crawley wasn't in the position to be applying a very strong ankle lock. He was on his back with Chen having him pinned down by the foot he was trying to twist. To further turn his ankle more, he was going to have to get himself up more, along with having his legs there to take control of his leg and turn it at a better angle. So it did had much to do with his leg being on his chest, bent no less. His leg wasn't extended out, freely open to twisting and the like, after all. He was knelt on his chest, perpendicular to his body. What he was using was an improvised heel hook, where the circumstances were not normal enough to cause any sort of leg breakage as of yet. The ankle, sure, that was vulnerable, but not the rest of the leg. All he was really doing was making his foot hurt.
As for Chen, he kept the chokehold applied, while his right hand kept beating at Crawley's head. No matter how strong someone's head was, eventually the continued concussions were going to bring the man into unconsciousness, swimming in his own blood as the beating stick was stained with red. And with the lack of oxygen, strength would be losing itself in any physical task Crawley was performing.
He was waiting for his opponent to black out or at least give in and speak the words. Because no matter the circumstances, Chen was going to keep swinging that stick. Something, literally or figuratively, was going to break in his opponent.

Okay then...
Crawley ditched the heel hook and curled his body up as he gripped Chen's wrist that was choking him, drove his left knee into his left side, though it wouldn't hurt and hooked his right leg over across his head.
Armbar from the bottom. Chen kept his arm extened, never changed his position. And Crawley was kin to Noguiera.
This would break the choke but Crawley wouldn't be satisfied sitting here because the fight couldn't be won here.
Crawley released his arm and rolled away. Getting up, but quickly stumbling back onto his a** before getting up again.

To curl his body, Crawley was going to have to get Chen's knee off of him first. And to apply an armbar, a good one at that, Crawley was going to have to have his body move more parallel with his left arm. Which meant that his legs may get up there, but nothing else. For the leg that tries to go for his head, Chen raises his chin to make it harder to secure a grip with that raised leg. And if he tried to move Chen off of him....yes, things would return right back to where Crawley started.
The chokehold remained. The beating continued. As much as Crawley would hate it, there was just no way he was going to be able to hold up to being choked and having his head bashed over and over and over and over and over.....

( You never put your leg back on me. I curled up into you.. the choke would be broken by way of the arm bar.. whether weak or not.. it wasn't meant to be strong because I even said I gave it up after applying it.
BUT...
Whatever man... doesn't matter. Don't wanna go through this anymore. )
