Lahren wandered over to where Kael had been to sneak a glance into one of the shanties before heading out, glancing around inside.

It was a little... too regular-looking. By shanty-town standards, but it basically looked like nothing had happened. Well, except for the disappearances.

So, with that creepy thought in mind, Lah wandered back to his snowmobile and gunned the ignition, nearly sailing over the top. A near identical repeat of the first time, proving Lah should never be let on a motorbike.

Pulling it up a little easier, he fell in behind everyone else heading out.

"...hopefully not."

He smiled- or rather, turned his mouth upward. Didn't mean much with his eyes still far off and his mouth half covered by his collar.

The red eyed man took to stretching his legs, anticipating a walk... but everyone else seemed pretty intent on their machines.

Not that he could blame them.

He'd been up front before, but this time he lagged, taking his sweet time about saddling up on his snow mobile, inserting the keys, and pulling out after them.

"I'm with that guy." Aiolos pointed to Gambion, and went back onto his snowmobile and started to follow. He was still getting the hang of this snowmobile business, but for now, he'll gun it under 30.

Raymond, as much as he wanted to be warm and not have to wear his cheap arctic clothing, knew that he had a sort of responsibility to wait for Bryant and the rest of the group. With a nod to those who decided to move on Raymond simply took a seat on his Snowmobile.

"You all go on ahead, I'll wait here and make sure everyone catches up and knows where to go." he said, adjusting his rifle accordingly to make himself more comfortable. In all honestly Raymond was actually more afraid to move on than anything else...it really was a frightening situation when one put thought into it.

“I’m heading with your Joseph” Mozz said weakly “The fastest way to heat sounds like the best. Besides if we don’t know what we’re up against here, then it’s probably not a great idea to spread ourselves too thin. Half the expedition hasn’t made their way here yet.”

Mozz rubbed his arms against each other, hoping to get whatever some small bit of heat that could be attained. Gambion was the only one who had yet taken decisive action, it was amazing to Mozz how he kept on focus even in such cold conditions, while at least he was too busy keeping warm to make an intelligent remark.

Reluctantly, Mozz hopped back on his snow mobile and gunned it after his compatriot. Cold and white… yup that pretty much sums it up.

Eileen nodded, and began her wobbling way back to her snowmobile. Where she was originally one of the first to the area, it seemed she'd be one of the last arriving to the Hovels. There was the matter of extricating her recently warmed hands from within, then the glove-hampered fumble for the keys after all. All that after she'd managed to maneuver her cold weather gear-bundled body to her vehicle after all.

Lahren pulled out of the Frozen Residences along with the rest of the heat-seekers.

"Bryant was always a scooby-doo kinda guy, he'll just have us split up when he gets here." Joseph shrugged again, "Ray, right? Besides they've got Chuck and that other guy with the rifle thing."

He made a strange sort of motion in the air as if he was holding an invisible rifle.

"Besides," he tapped the M79 on his back, "I can't play grenadier without a rifleman can I?"

((In other words Bryant won't be showing up for another hourish.))

((Ah well, there goes Raymond's suck up points for the time.))

"If you say so, but so help me if I get docked pay for this someone will be catching hell." he said jokingly as he swung his legs over the machine, in order to mount up in order to roll out with everyone else. Strength in numbers right?

"You may be right on that grenadier thing, but let's just hope we don't need to use these weapons." he said with a smile as he gave a hard kick down on the throttle of his snowmobile, the engine roaring to life. With his machine going and his wits set Raymond gave a press on the throttle and sped off towards the Hovels. Hopefully it would be both warmer and safer there.

"It's hard to get docked pay when I'm one of the people paying you." He smilled right back, "but here's hoping for not using these things. Empty cities should be just that in my mind. Makes playing hero that much easier."

"Hovels peeps! I'll bust out a map there."

Finally getting her snowmobile running, Eileen carefully eased it in to follow the other riders fleeing the frozen environs. "...Ano..." she called out almost audibly over the dreadful buzzing din of the craft to his guards "...please take care of Mr. Bryant! We're going ahead!"

He was a bit late, but delays and all that were inevitable. Sure he'd meant to be here an hour or more earlier, but sometimes things happen. And no he's not trying to make excuses for his player.

But anyways. Where everyone else had been using snowmobiles, right now Allen was relying on his wings, surveying the situations from above. From the looks of things, the most tracks were headed off to the residential areas, so...that was where he would be going, his wings moving to keep them from freezing up.

It looks like someone had arrived here before them, judging from the fresh snowmobile tracks in the snow. Afro was gazing around as he and Iris made it to the residential parts. Iris was taking scans with her Blackberry-like device.

"Nobody here," she said, "but that's nothing new."

"Well then, let's start investigating. Shall we?" Afro replied.

He tried the door of the nearest house. If the door was unlocked, they'd just step right in, otherwise he'd try kicking the door in. If nothing else, it'd get them out of the cold, but Afro also wanted to rummage through the house for any clues. He doubted he would find anything, but rummaging through strangers' houses was always an essential element to adventuring.

Rummage.

Rummage.

Rummage.

For hours, and nothing.

"I don't think we'll find any answers here, sir," Iris stated, shivering as she sat on a couch.

"Damn. Well, I guess we'll have to find another lead. We'll rejoin with the rest of the research team until we find out something new."

The only question now was, where did they all go off to? Might as well get back to where it's warm again. Maybe if they followed those snowmobile tracks, they'll stumble upon something.

And they made it back to the Snowmobiles. And she climbed down from Kael. "Get on!" She yelled at him. If they were in as much danger as he thought, she wanted to be far away from here, and she was one of the best when it came to racing vehicles.
