She nodded slightly sitting down, the entire weight of the situation dropping down at her. She has crossed the ocean to get here, a task not difficult if down in the proper season and in good health and the ships were usually well stocked and full of medicine and all the other needed supplies.
'HE' has crossed the uncrossable, deadly desert that had taken so many sons and daughters, even the Gods spoke hell of it. Yet she wasn't scared, and knew he wasn't lying for the steady pace of his heart beat, which was entrancing when listened to.
"You came here.. ..from Miltiades.. ..how?"
It wasn't so much a question to him as it was herself, this disproved all the stories she had been taught in her childhood, as well as all the warnings the locals had given her.

She nodded some, that much she could figure and as if proving a point to herself she gently tapped her foot, something she grew in the habit of doing, the sudden blindness and then the shock of mental images that replaced the black hole was a reminder of her curse.
"Obviously, but you surpassed the gods.. .."
She wasn't one to believe in a god, or gods of some sort, but she knew there were creatures out there greater than humans, their elven queen was proof of that much.

She moved her head towards him, more to hear him better and force away her own thoughts than to see him, duh.
"Where do I hail from.. .."
She paused a second, thinking a moment longer. She had been born and raised in Demeter, but ever since her murder she refused to accept it as her homeland.
"From across the salt water, thats all you need to know."
Her voice was cold, and yet oddly filled with a strange after taste of bitter emotion, like horror or even depression, as if the thought of being 'from' anywhere tore her up inside.

She followed him mentally, standing when he had gotten far enough away for her to actually follow, which she did calmly, unsure of why and positive she was just going to get closer to the inn, then ditch him, possibly in mid-sentence.
"Then pick your favorite for me."
Her words were sarcastic, but slightly playful, as if she enjoyed toying with his mind, which she oddly enough did.
"How come you came here?"
Once again her question was sincere.

She nodded slightly, not so interested with him anymore.
"Thats good, I mean, it'd be really bad if you did trust a blind and then 'she' did something horrible like rob you."
She grinned slightly, her words ringing with not only insults but a bit a fun, as if she actually enjoyed talking to this human being, which in all truth couldn't be any more wrong, she was simply bored and he was there.

She nodded, still blindly following him, the air chilly against her flesh, actually pushing a tiny shiver into her body.
"s**t.. .."
She muttered silently to herself, under her breath and almost worried, if it got too cold then she would be blind.
"Well..."
She spoke up.
"...I won't force you to. But I have to go."
She turned to leave him, to find her way back to the inn, and muttered under her breath 'you can follow if you wish' before finally leaving him, as if she had said nothing.

She sighs and shrugs it off, it was no wonder he wasn't welcome. He had crossed 'it'. The very land that everyone swore was hell itself. The place where everyone believed the first and last major battle of the war took place. It was shocking to have someone like him in this desolated empty town, and it would scare everyone beyond belief.
She quickly forced the thoughts away and made her way into her room, where she striped and fell asleep on top of the covers, oddly too tired to make her way under them.
