George glanced at his notes again, looking vaguely interested before pulling a hypodermic needle out of a sealed bag and sucking up something in the middle portion of a pee-tree dish. "Well that''s the last before the big haul, whew. Far sure keeps us busy." He wrote out a label as ''Himmel'' and setting the needle on a tray to his side next to a white opaque plastic bag started to try and pry the sticker off the sheet.

"Got that right." Came a deeper voice from behind the separation screen behind him. Whoosh...thunk!

"s**t, Tom, are you playing darts with those damn outdated hypos again?" George scowled, he rolled his chair back and poked his angry face around the screen to watch his fellow lab tech lining up for another shot with an especially nasty looking hypodermic needle.

"Course'' not George." He muttered absent mindedly. Lauren who was sitting right next to him and digging around for more needles chuckled. "The door is locked Georgie, simmer down. It''s boring in here during the late hours, let him have his fun." She weaved her way to George''s side of the room digging around for more clean old needles.

Tom swung his feet back and forth from the operating bed he sat on and let the needle sail towards the paper target on the door. Whoosh.. thunk! "Bingo, dead center!" He cheered. George sighed as loud as he could before going back to his desk. "What? Where did... I must have put it in the bag..." He picked up the bag and felt it for weight. "Yeah, okay. Hey guys! I''m going to go deliver this to Farland. Don''t impale each other with those needles okay?"

"Yeah, right G." Tom scoffed and walked over to pick the two needles out of the door before sitting back down, "Find any more Laur? Only two darts makes for a shitty dart game." Lauren swept to his side and handed him a few more. "These out-dated needles make for some good fun." She laughed, "Georgie is such a worry wart."

Whoosh.. thwack! Bong bong bong! "Ugh, dull already." He reached for one of the new needles and Lauren retrieved the fallen one. As she came to his side he let it loose. Whoosh.. thunk! "OUCH! WTF! This isn''t the bath roo..."

"What the hell! Who is that!?" Tom yelled as Lauren ran over to the red haired man who had passed out after receiving a needle to the stomach. Tom looked down the hall to see if anyone had seen before dragging him all the way into the room.

"s**t, s**t! Since when were the patients allowed to run around the facility?" He pulled the man''s shirt up and examined the needle sticking out right below the man''s belly-button. We could loose our jobs over this!" Tom growled, nearly shaking. "Calm down Tom." Lauren said patiently pulling the needle out of him and seeing that no blood followed it dabbed it with alcohol and then patted a Band-Aid softly over it. "They''re clean, it''s not like he''s going to get HIV. We''ll just put some valium in him and he''ll forget all about it. Then we''ll just act like he found him passed out in the hall. We''ll all get off okay."

Tom stared up at her as she went to extract some valium into another needle. "Your so beautiful, Lauren. I really need to tell you that more."

----

L laid on the medical bed staring up at the ceiling trying to displace her mind off the frightening large needle that Farland had just administered to her. Her mind wandered back and forth between weather or not she had done the right thing. Glave had been so supportive in finally having a child of their very own. She worried what Kiwi might think of his new sibling, Skurai was moving out that month and she knew that Kiwi would miss him, Glave would even more. She ran her fingers softly down the spot of her lower stomach where the shot had been administered. I hope my favorite shirt will still fit... She wondered dumbly. She secretly loathed her new delicate position.

Suddenly yelling sounded down the hall and L cranked her head towards to door to try and see what was going on. After a few minutes it quieted down and Glave was wheeled in on a wheel chair. Seeing him shocked her into sitting back up. He looked tied and confused as the wheeled him into the room.

"Holy Hell! What happened?!" She started. Glave looked at her and arched his eyebrows, giggled and then looked around the room woozily. One of the techs who had wheeled him in came to her side. "We found him passed out in the hall, it appears you have a fainter. It happens occasionally with male types as I''m sure you know." She said with a chuckle.

"I didn'' ... did... did''nt faint. I passssed out." He said slurridly. L arched a brow at the tech.

"He hit his head pretty hard, we gave him some meds. He should be out of it in a few hours." She said, bemused. "Fainter... faiting... girl... fainting is for the gals..." He finished, falling asleep and snoring quietly. L sighed.

"So when can we get out of here?" L asked. The male tech spoke up this time. "We usually ask you stay just an hour incase any bleeding occurs from the shot, but you look fine. And I think you need to put this kid to sleep." He said, patting Glave on the shoulder. "You can borrow the wheelchair, just bring it back in a week when we do a check-up, huh?"

L shooed them out and got dressed, she stared her husband down as she did so. He did faint occasionally, but she found he was unusually strong whenever she needed him to the point of being annoying occasionally. And right now she felt she needed him more then ever, venturing into a whole new thing she''d only recently considered; pregnancy. She sighed, buttoning up her favorite plaid shirt and began to wheel her husband out into their new world.

Co-written with FC <3

Sitting outside in the small car was a petit woman, her long blonde hair falling into her soft blue eyes as she seemed to just tap her hands lightly against the wheel. She was still unsure as to why she suddenly went along with L's plan, but when she got the call earlier, she really had no means of saying no. It was a simple request to be driven, and it seemed like it wouldnt take long, but with one more glance to the clock Final dimly noted that it had already been an hour and still she was on the side of the street. Around her, the birds chirped softly and the wind drifted through the street, the sun streaming down and gleaming as her eyes narrowed and she rolled the window all the way down, her hand slipping out as she used her other one for a yawn.

Today was just not her day, or so she dimly noted as she pulled her hand away and moved towards the music, the sound filling her ears as she watched the clinic for any movements, wondering how much longer it would take.

---

Weaving her way through the crowds filling out applications for the clinic with her husband seated on the wheelchair she tried to move quickly without bumping into anyone. She had already kept FC Waiting too long already

Opening the door that led to the parking lot she saw FC looking crossly into the clinic and swallowed deeply, She hustled her way to the car and opened the door to push Glave into the back seat.

---

Turning her head at the sound of the open door, Final moved a hand to brush her bangs out of her eyes, before her gaze moved towards Glave. She could admit right there she hardly knew the man, but for some reason she also could admit he seemed...different than before. Brushing it off, she turned her gaze towards L and blinked, a small chuckle escaping her lips.

"Are you sure you are the one who was injected upon?" She asked with a soft laugh, before she moved to start the car, watching to make sure L was ready to leave, a small smile crossing her features as she looked upon her now expecting friend

---

L laughed. "Yeah I wish, no, us girls get all the fun huh?" She patted FC on the shoulder. "Thanks again for picking us up, I did't think it would be wise before to ride the ol' Vespa back after the appointment, and now I'm even gladder I asked. I don't know how I'd transport THAT home.

Glave smiled in the back when he saw L look back at him. "You... are one pretty wo...man... woman..." He leaned forward to kiss L on the lips but instead found her eye. He withdrew and smiled aqwardly before falling back asleep.

---

Final raised a slim brow as she watched the exchange, her eyes glimmering as she turned towards the road. With a flick of her wrist and a pull of her arm, she was out and into traffic, driving smoothly as she glanced in her review mirror, getting a shot at the snoozing male in the car. Shaking her head she sighed to herself, "I swear, he looks as if he is on drugs, you see it dont you, and you look as if you didn't get anything..." She bit her lip, slowing at a red light as she leaned back in her seat, the chair not the most confertable thing to be in after about an hour and a half of sitting there.

---

"Well the poor dear passed out, I geuss the idea of our very own kid was a little overwhelming." she pulled on her hair a little in thought. "The docs said he hit his head pretty hard and they hit him up with some pain meds. They told me he would eb better in 30 minutes or so. He is better then when I first saw him."

She paused and stared out the window to her right watching the power polls go by. "I'm not sure if I can do this, pregncancy is one of the few thigns that I'm scared of. And here I am willingly succoming to it." She tugged at her shirt nervously...

---

Final glanced out of the corner of her eye, looking back to the road every few seconds with a quick flick before letting out a sigh, "If you wernt ready for this, than you wouldnt have gone through with it...your mind is telling you that you are ready, and the fact that you responded and came here proves that you are capiable to have a child. Think about it, you get a chance to raise something that will always be yours, and you get to have the love of your life by your side helping you every step of the way, as well as your friends of course to b***h to when it gets too hard." She laughed, and turned as the car stopped at a light once more.

"Once you are holding your child in your arms, you will wonder why right now you questioned the thought of having kids..."

---

L smiled and remembered why she liked hanging around FC so much,"Your right. As long as Glave and my friends there is nothing for me to fear." She stared back into the cab and brushed a hair out of the sleeping knight's eyes. "My valiant knight in shining armor." She hummed. Looking back at the light she tapped FC ont he shoulder. "We take a right here!" She said pointlessly, trying to change the subject.

---

Laughing to herself, Final nodded, "Yeah, that is why I have my...oh shoot!" She laughed as the light was green to turn and drove out, sinking into the seat as she heard a few yells from behind and took a glance to see some waving fist. Shaking her head, she turned to stare at L, "Dont say a word because I didnt have to drive you..." And she left it at that as she continued on, turning her focus on the road once more.

---

L laughed deeply "I wouldn't dare, I want to see tomarrow after all." She smiled widely and lapped into a period of silance. After a while she looked back over at FC. "So what have you been up too?"

---

Shifting, she spoke softly, making her way down the roads as she told what had been happening in her house, "Well, you remember my eldest daughter right, Catnip, well she has been thinking a lot about going to the clinic, so I have had to deal with her and try to help her decide. She is perfect with children, I am just unsure if her husband, Jack, is ready for it, and if I am ready for being a Granny. Cat is almost my age as it is, considering I adopted her, but already she is going to drop me with a grand child...it is amazing, you know..." She smiled softly, "How does Glave feel about this?"

---

"You would make an awesome granny" L laughed, "'Our grandma can beat up your grandma' the kids would say!" He chuckled and turned back to Glave. "Oh that big lug, he loves kids period. He'd have tens of them if he could. When I asked him what he thought he asked said 'Can we have twins?'" She laughed again and shoke her head.

"Hmm... thats odd." A old bushy-browed docter stared at a moniter while L glared at his back. Glave was at her side preening her hair as she laid on a medical bed with a white medical garment covering her chest and a blanket resting over the lower bits. The Docter slowly slid a small sensor over her lower stomach and gave her a lopsided glance. "What did you say your genetics were again?"

"Human, Mongoose and something else." She said crossly. "It was on my dad's side, my mom was pure mongoose. It was an act of drunken love and I'd rather not discuss it. What dose this have to do with anything?" She hooked Glave with an outstretched arm and brought him closer to her to rest her head against his side.

The Old man tugged his beard in thought "Well, see we have this new computer do-hicky. It's rather powerful and harmless, it's sensors can detect the very growth of an embryo after it begins to take nutriants from the mother, with is nearly immediatly. So we should be able to see it, but the thing is it can't detect anything at all! It's just a blank screen which means there is probobly something about your phisioligy that blinds the sensors."

"Sure it's plugged in?" Glave asked. L and then docter stared at him. "Glave you can practicly feel the radiation pumping out of that thing, of course it's on." L said jokingly. The docter threw his arms up like he was being shot at, "Oh no! No radiation at all! It's all electric pulse so theres no harm to the child."

"So what dose this mean? Are we still going to have a child?" Glave asked worridly. The Docter returned to his thoughtful look and L rolled her eyes. "Looks like we'll be doing it the old fashion way, we'll know in a week." The docter looked up at her for an explaination while a lightbulb popped into existance above Glave's head.

"Lunar cycle!" He said holding up an enlightened finger, "If she's not grumpy and crampy in a week we'll know the embreyo took! Ouch!" Glave rubbed his posterior where L had pinched him. "Of course!" Said the docter. "And we can always try again though when the embreyo is bigger. The machiene isn't always accurate."

"Oh well thats good to know." L huffed, Glave looked hopeful. "When should we stop in next?" he asked.

"Well, it's august, so mid-september probobly, not much is going to happen ina few weeks that we can do anything about." He mused looking at the bright couple. Glave spoke up again while L turned to pick lint off his shirt. "We can't come next month, we were going to go on vacation in the moutains, we'll be back in late october though." He said.

"Your a healthy couple, so I'll allow it. But, make sure you take good care of her though Mr. Himmel. A little exersize is good at this point, but make sure she dosn't exhaust herself." The Docter said with a smile on his face that Glave rather liked and L dispised. "That I'll do!" He said loudly with a wide smile.

L knew then that Glave would probobly take to carrying her all the time like when she strained her ankle. She did't hate the thought, but she scoffed at the thought that she was to be treated as 'delicate'.

Glave made a mental commitment to try and carry her whenever he could, he knew she hated being 'delicate as she called it but she always smelled so nice and he enjoyed being close to her. 'My little maiden won't have to lift a finger for the next 7 months... or was it 10? ... damn germation thing.' He thought.

The docter with the bushy eyebrows could tell without his Computer do-hickies that this would be an interesting case and as he handed L her clothes he shot another bright smile, the one he was known around the clinic for, at the couple. "You two take care now, you hear? Our ancestors got us here without technology, just because ours won't cooperate dosn't mean we can't too. Everything will turn out fine, you'll see." He said, half for the couple and half for himself who had never had a case like this.

L and Glave watched him walk out and L got dressed again, 'I'm tired of getting dressed in these bright white rooms' she thought. Glave became interested in the straps on his sandles out of curticy. He had seen his mate of course, be he knew she was a little shy. As she finished the two signed out and made their way to L's vertic yellow Vespa waiting for them in the parking lot.

Blog Entree 18.9.05-

Sure enough, no luner cycle! I suppose that meang it took! Glave was thrilled when I told him. I have been feeling a little sick, but it's way not as bad as I thought it would be. For the most part I feel fine!

And now that we knew theres was going to be a new family memeber we told Kiwi and Skurai of their new sibling. Skurai seemed as uninterested as ever but Kiwi was thrilled, espessialy when I told him it was Crow DNA. He asked me if we would be naming him/her "Peo". I declined but I asked him to think of a few more names and maybe we'll name it that.

Kiwi, Glave, and I all went shopping yesterday for thigns to outfit the new room. We picked out some great stuff, and Kiwi thought that moons would be a nice theme and we both agreed so we shopped with that in mind. Hopefuly when it's born it'll like them ^_^

Roku dropped by again today too and had a good conversation with Vinn who had stoppd at our house wtht Cowan on the way through to congradulate us. Both Roku and Vin stared alot at Glave, which seemed to creep him out a bit. I know Vinn isn't the traditional lover but I always thought he was open-minded. Pah, maybe my dear husband had something in his teeth.

Anyways, we're going to be camping soon! Hurrah! Glave is realy excited, and I mean excited to the point of being sick excited like how I used to get before drill team meets. I've told Leon to leave him alone intill we get back because I don't want him to have to heal on our camping trip. So Leon is going to take Skurai to look at some prospective collages and Cowan and Vinn are going to take care of Kiwi while we're gone.

I'm sure they'll both be fine, Kiwi's gotten real used to his uncles and they make a cute trio. Skurai and Leon have always been real close too, they communicate ona level that I was never able to acheive sadly. Skurai has never been able to talk to me like Kiwi dose.

-L

P.S.- I don't want to buy any new fat clothes DX

Kiwi

Glave
Dear Diary,

Ugh~ I've felt so sick lately, L says it's just from excitement but I even puked this morning. I don't like being excited much... sweatdrop Hopefuly when we get up into that fresh moutain air all of it will clear up, and it'll be just Me, L and the elements! I can't wait till Kiwi is a little older so we can take him up with us. In other news Skurai has been making me frustrated. He's about to go off to collage and he's been getting more and more angsty. He's even taken to listening to those dreadfull loud yelling bands! Ugh, at least he's a good student, hopefuly he'll brighten up when he gets to collage and come back to have a good wrestle with his dad again some time.

Oh, and Roku, cowan and Vinn got together at the den again today. Vinn and Roku were eyein' me up all funny-like. I thought Vinn was taken? That Cowan better keep a good eye on him, Vinn kind of creeps me out sometimes. I still have no idea what Roku hangs around for, he followed me around for nearly 2 hours today talking in Japanese. I kept telling him i had no idea what he was saying but he just kept on yapping. He brought a present for the kid though, it's a realy cute and blue. Vinn tells me it's a traditional wooden chinese doll given to children, I won't how Roku knew? Theres more to that guy then there seems I think. I wish I could get Vinn to translate but every time I ask he just repeats whatever Roku says in french and then Cowan gets all rialled up and they start making out on the couch and I have to shoo the kids out of the room. Ugh @_@ Hopefully they can restrain themselves whenever they baby sit Kiwi next month.

Hoping for a heathier tomarrow, I feel a little dizzy again, I think I'm goign to go watch some TV with that Roku.

"Oh spoot, this is so embarresing" Glave howled, L had gone out to wash clothes and kill breakfast and Glave was wrestling with his favorite pair of pants. The last few days he had managed to get into them simply by sucking in his stomach, but today there would be no victory over the pants. He sighed and layed back onto his sleeping bag.

'We've been taking it easy, but I havn't been laying around that much!' he mentaly whined. He finaly decided to simply zip them up as high as he could and hope that his shirt would hide it. Reaching into L's backpack he extracted his favorite shirt he had been saving for today-the trip back home. Pulling it down past his pants he gasped in horrer when apon letting go it sprung back up; showing a generous view of his belly. Running a hand through his hair he looked down at his stomach contemptuously, as if daring it to do something else he might not like.

Looking up, a shadow passed infront of the tent and L stuck her face in "Hey Glavie, I caught breakfast! Feel like snake burg- Glave! Thats quite the stomach your cultivating." She looked both amused and surprised. "Maybe I havn't been active enough this vacation," He replyed "I'll just work it off when we get home." He patted his stomach and stood up. "So did you say you got some snake burgers?"

L smiled and walked over to the camp fire which was still smoldering from last night, the large blue nylon tent flashing a glow of the morning sun into her eyes as she turned to help her husband out of the tent. The forest was beutiful this time of year, espessialy in the moutains and the wind was rustling the leaves in a manner that made them appear alive. The whole month had been occupied by hiking, foraging, swimming in the lake and just general goofing around, just like when they first met. They tried to take this trip every other year but it was getting harder and harder with the family, they feared this might be the last time, and they hadn't exactly made the best of it.

Bending down over the smoldering tidbits of logs and ashes L pulled out some stick matches and went about the work of building a flame, the dead brown snake wrapped around her neck like some kind of morbid scarf. Glave found a seat on the ground next to her and stared at the snake's open mouth dangling somewhere around L's mid-back. His wife had always been proficent at catching snakes and though he never said anything he hadn't ever liked the taste of them very much, however he most enjoyed watching his wife catch them. At first he had been concerned but had grown used to it, L would flash her hand back and forth infront of a snake and as it started to look dazed she'd jump it and hold the head down with the left arm, and well, the rest was instinct he supposed.

About 30 minutes later they were having thinly sliced peices of the catch between rye rolls and after having their fill they packed up the tent and gathered clothes and gear. Before they left they spread out the ashes and tried their best to make the campsite look like it did before they had gotten there. The two loaded bags and tents up onto their backs and made a steady climb back down through the forest slope to the site where they had parked the Vespa. They had been working their way around so that it would be an easy trip back when the time came.

The autuem had brought with it a beautiful spectrum of golds and crimsons that clung to the trees in the same way the cold hung on the mornings. Condinsation found it's home on the leaves that littered the forest floor, and as they did slip off their branches so did Glave off them. L had just enough time to look over to see the bag he had been holding in his right arm sail past her head as her knight tumbled, rolled, and finaly skided to a halt on the slopped forest floor nearly 7 meters away from where he started. L's mouth hung ajar for a moment in disbelief, she dropped her bags and skipped down the slope to her mate who laid on his side propped up by the bag on his back.

"Glave!" L yelled, not yet in tears but in a state of shock that made her words sound angry, "Glave! Are you okay?! Can you hear me?" She lifted his head slightly and his eyes opened, he looked sick. "Sorry, L" He said, "I felt really woozy and..." He looked around observing his position "I suppose I slipped." He smiled a lopsided smile, L let out a held breath.

"Dammit Glave, your supposed to be taking care of me, what am I going to do with you?" She laughed nervously looking over his body to make sure he wasn't hurt, the position of his leg concerned her. "Honey, dose it feel like anything is broken? Can you move? Maybe we should rest for a little bit, hm?" L's tone had became soft. She helped him get the large bag off his shoulders. "I feel alright, I'm going to try and stand up, okay?" He reached out a hand and she took it in one arm and supported his back with the other as he slowly stood back up, his stomach making it a more difficult task then usual. Minus a few cuts and scrapes Glave found he was still the resiliant Knight he had always been.

"You could still have a break, lets get you down to the vespa and I'll get the stuff okay?" L pleeded, Glave flashed her a worried face and she continued, "Don't worry, I feel fine baby, it's still early and I feel as if I'm not expecting at all." She smiled and kissed him softly, and they made their way slowly to the bottom where in a park parking-lot their little yellow vespa sat alone. It was nearly mid day when Glave was finaly sitting on the back of the vehicle and threatening to get up and help if L carried too much at one time. Three trips and two hours later they were working together to stuff things into the compartments and saddle-bags. L started up the engine as her husband got comfortable on the seat behind her. He found his stomach placed them a little farther apart seating-wise then when they had came, and coming to the realization remembered to try and tuck his shirt down again to no effect. L felt him struggling with it behind her and chuckled as she pulled a helmet over her head and held one out to him. "Don't worry hun, soon we'll be in the same boat." Glave smiled back and put the helmet over his head then wrapped his arms around her small waist.

Bushy brows as L and Glave now called him looked deep into his moniter again. This time L was alone in the room with him as he scratched his chin and peered at the moniter. "Don't tell me" She said, looking annoyed. He pulled his beard thoughtfuly and L secretly vowed to remove it if he did it again that day. "Yep, nothing, coming up blank. You claim the cycles still arn't coming but the pregnancy tests we ran are all showing negitive." He rubbed a course hand about her lower stomach pressing in different spots "In fact, I'm to fathom that your not pregnant at all! Late october, it's been nearly 4 months, you should be showing definate signs" He looked lop-sided at his patient. "Yet no throwing up, no dizzyness or morning sickness..." he sighed. "We should wait another month to be sure before trying the re-fertillization process over."

L stared at the ceiling and closed her eyes. She wasn't devistated but she knew Glave would be, he wouldn't want to have to wait 10 more months, and after what he had been through earlier that day, she knew he wouldn't be able to handle it, and she did't want to see her Knight cry, because she knew then she would too. The phone rang and she brushed the hair out of her eyes and sat up to watch the docter awnser it.

"Hello, Dr. Brille, I'm with my lovely patient, what is it?" L raised an eye-brow at the 'lovely' but took it as a compliment. "What? No... That can't be right... Is that... no of course not. Oh definetly, I'll just bring her. Right, see you in a little bit George." Bushy Brows threw the phone at the hanger and supported himself against the wall with one hand while he ran his hand through his hair with the other. He looked back at L, shook his head, sighed and started to walk over to her. By the time, it would be a understatement to say that L's intrest was peeked. "Please get dressed Mrs. Himmel, I'm afraid your husband needs our attention. Looks like you may be having a baby after all."

When they got to the room that was very much like the one they had left L rushed to her husband's side. She had drove straight to the clinic after they had come off the highway since it was the closest medical facility that was near to their home and immediatly admitted her husband. They wern't the kind of hostpital to mend bones, but they could identify if he needed one. Plus it would knock out that pesky checkup appointment L had been loathing all through vacation.

Looking over her husband he was now covered in the same fashion she had just been, minus the shirt which they had removed. His stomach was much more prominent then she had first thought and she figured he had been slouching to cover up. He was unconcious and she hoped they hadn't doped him up again. "Whats all this then?" She asked. A young Asian technition looked over at her and extended a hand which when took he shook vigerously. "My name is George, Ma'am. You would be L, I presume." He chuckled dangerously, "You've got quite the interesting husband here." L broke eyecontact and stroked the Knight's hair from his eyes, his lipped were slightly parted which gave him a look of surprise even in his sleep.

"Have you told him whatever your planning to tell me yet?" L asked, the docter nodded "Only the first bit though, theres more. Would you like me to wake him up?" L nodded and took Glave's hand into hers as the young docter located an amonium capsule. Faces were appearing at the door, mostly nurses and helpers. Bushy Brows shooed them away and closed the door returning to L's side and watched contently the young docter's doings. George returned from a cabnet with a small capsule which he broke and passed under Glave's nose. It wasn't more then 3 seconds and he woke up wiht a start, L had counted. She placed her hands on his cheek and whispered for him to calm down and eventualy things were in order. "Whats going on?" he asked her, "I'm not sure, Dr. George here is going to tell us."

George smiled, "I'm not a docter, I'm a technician." He took the small device L had seen Bushy use on her before and placed it over Glave's stomach and pointed to the screen. The screen was very fuzzy, but through the indisernable matter was a small clump that looked like it was curled up. Glave pointed his finger at the screen, "Whats that?" He asked, L knew what it was, public school had taught her what it was, andl those dreadful discovery channels showed what it was, her mouth hung open as she brought a hand to it as if yawning.

"Glave" said the technition, "Your pregnant." Glave retracted his arm to his side and said "Oh" in a polite manner, like if someone had been informing him as to the political position of nebraska, before passing out again. "Glave! Glave! Come on theres more!" L swatted him on the forhead which brought him back rather promptly. "Oh, well okay, I can live with that... I'm pregnant?" Shock wore off, he looked at L in horror and then at his stomach which he spread his big hand over. Her looked back at thetechnician and repeated in this manner about three times before L managed to calm him down and turn their attention back to the tech.

"The fetus has began to form in the open body cavity, this is extremely dangerous. It's seen occationaly in women when the egg passes out of the cell wall of the womb, and it often leads to the death of the parent.." The technition explained, Glave gulped and tightened his grip on L's hand, she meeped. "Theres no way we can transfur the fetus to your wife at this point, it would be too dangerous. It's possible that it might very well be able to grow and survive in this fashion, but consitering the potentialy fatal nature of this pregnancy, you might want to consiter abortion-" "No!" Glave almost shouted. L had always been open to the idea, but she knew her husband thought it was a bad practice. "Honey, I know you are against it, but you could both die. At this point it's but a fetus, it dosn't even had a heart beat yet."

"Actully they start a heart beat at 3 months." Said George. Glave took a deep breath "No, heart beat or not it's our child, I don't care who carrys them as long as it gets to it's destination, the arms of it's parents." L sighed and smiled, this was her husband alright, she caressed his cheek with her hand. "Even though it's... different this way, I'll still do it. Please let me do it." He pleaded ot the docters. The docters looked at each other, Bushy with the large knowing smile of a veteran, George with with the young confused look of a apprentice. George stepped aside and Bushy Brows took his spot on the opposite side of the couple. "Now I geuss the roles are much reversed arn't they?" He chuckled, Glave smiled a meek smile back. "Glave, I'll let you continue this pregnancy as long as you obey three rules, but you have to swear on it. Do you swear to follow my rules?" L watched Glave as he meekly nodded, the docter tilted his head. "I mean, yes sir. I swear I'll follow your rules." The docter nodded, that was good enough. L decided she liked him alot more then she first thought.

"First, No rough houseing, at all. That means no wrestling, punching, chasing unnanounced babysitters around with morning stars-" Glave's mouth fell open "How did... how did you-?" "Read your file Glave, I know what kind of man you are, or else I would never even give you this option. I know how much you care for your children." "...Thankyou" Glave replyed quietly, the docter nodded and continued.

"Listen to L and let her help you, I know you like to take care of her, but let her take care of you this time. We've educated her on the secrets of having a successful and relitively painless pregnancy so she will be your wealth of knowlage."

"And finaly, I want you up and around as less as possible, I would restrict you to bed rest but I know it would drive you cazy. So I want you to lay down and keep your feet up whenever it's not nessisary. Maybe find a nice lay down hobby hum? The less pressure on the child and yourself the less chance of fatalities on both sides." Glave's mouth hung open again, L bit her lip, this is what he had made him promise in advance for. "You'll probobly gain some consiterable weight, but I'm sure you'll be able to get it all off, an active man like yourself. Besides, now it's only 6 months left and it seems like you had enough action for the year in this day alone." The old docter walked around and set a gentle hand on Glave's left leg. "Incase you were wondering, there is some damage to the tendon in this leg. It'll heal soon but it's all the more reason to take it easy."

"So, think you can follow my rules?" Bushy Brows said, crossing his arms and staring at the couple. L and Glave looked at each other, Glave wondered what he would do without his wife, L wondered what she would do with her husband, and they both awnsered. "Yes."

---

The Docter and the tech watched the young couple leave and as soon as they were out of sight George faced the Docter. "Dr. Brille-"

"Yes George?" The docter asked still watching the door of which they left by.

"I think I know who was behind this."

"Oh thats nice George, do bring them to me today when you get a moment, hum?" and he started off to Farlands office to give her a report.

And on that day of October, Farland Clinic lost two very bored techs and gained two very enlightened nurses.

A Poem
-by Kiwi
-organized and spellchecked by Glave (aka. The Fruity Bard)

Halloween has come at last
Daddys fat and wears a cast
Stork wings will break the breeze
But my Peo flies with ease
We go trick or treating at 5 past

Mom is a assassin and dad is a knight
Peo looks like a man as he takes flight
Cowan and Vinn dress as florists
And Roku looks like an American Tourist
But I as a Raven, black as the night

Holloween may be but a day
But I sure wish it would come to stay
As corvids mass apon the sky like kites
As I savor the cool auteum nights
The clock ticks away

"Oh! Kiwi! Come here hon!" L called. The green-headed boy pried his eyes from some of the Walmat video displays that were bolted to the ceiling and rushed to his mother''s side. "What is it Mum?" He asked, and stood on his tip-toes to see what L had. "Think your sibling will like this?" She asked lowering a stuffed stuffed black crow into Kiwi''s field of vision. Kiwi gasped, "I don''t know! But I know I sure would!" He cried, L chuckled and pulled a matching one off the shelf that had light blue eyes instead of black and handing it to him.

"Looks just like Peo, huh?" L asked, Kiwi nodded vigerously. "Thankyou mum!" Kiwi hugged the new addition to his corvid family. "I think I''ll name you Lana!" L looked over at him. "Kiwi, did you think up any names yet? Theres still plenty of time, if you haven''t thats okay." Kiwi looked up wiht a bright smile. "I''ve got one for if it''s a girl!" He said proudly.

"How about Lenore?" The jubulant youth asked. "Isn''t that from ''The Raven''? That poem Glave has been reading to you lately? That poem is so ghastly." She frowned a bit. "Oh, on the contrary mother. The author may be a bit grim, but Lenore is of a beautiful maiden that the character seeks! She is called an Angel among other things! I''ve been trying to memorize the poem. Want to hear the part where he speaks of Lenore?"

L was thrilled that her adopted son had taken such a great intrest in literature, and even more so in poetry. However she wasn''t too fond of Kiwi''s attachment to such a dark figure, she didn''t want him to become so distant like Skurai was. Corvids had their beauty to them as any songbird did but when cast under the wrong light could look evil or foreboding, but to Kiwi''s credit, he had stayed the bright optimistic boy she knew since he settled into the household. She figured her Kiwi was too smart to be influenced by that Poe character.

She smiled and nodded to encourage him to recite the bit.

He looked up and closed his eyes trying to remember the paragraph "Well it mentions her several times, but this about sums up the best bits. ''Prophet!'' said I, ''thing of evil, if bird or devil! ...ummm.. By that Heaven that bends above... us- by that God we both adore- Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn, It shall... clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels name Lenore- Clasp a rare and radient maiden whom the angels name Lenore.'' " He finished with a wide smile that, through no genetic couincidence, looked a hell of alot like his father''s.

"Wow! L said, clapping and then patting him on the shoulder, I think you got it all right! Do you realy understand all of that?" She asked. "Most of it!" Kiwi beamed "Glave explains what I don''t know, hes realy good with poetry! When I first met you guys he didn''t come off as the poetic type, but he actully gets realy into the poems he''s reading. It makes them realy exciting. I hope I can read like that some day!" That smile re-appeared and L marveled at him.

"Well, since you put so much thought into it, I geuss Lenore would be a lovely name for a girl! I''ll make sure to bounce it off your father and see what he thinks." She suddenly took on a deeper voice, "And I expect and equally stunning presentation on a boy name!" She stood up rigid and saluted him, and Kiwi atutomaticly did the same, and after holding it for about 10 secounds both doulbed over it fits of giggling in the middle of Walmart. A few individuals wagged some eyebrows at the pair before rushing off and Kiwi placed Lana on his shoulder and L sat the matching crow in her hand-basket. They walked along the path between giant towering shelves of baby stuffs picking, proding, poking and inspecting nearly anything soft, blue or birdlike in sight. And as they finaly decided their work was done the two made their way to the cash register.

The lines were way long since it was the weekends and they had to drive to a popular part of the city to find the Walmart, so Kiwi took the time to ask a question he had been meaning to ask. "Mum... why did you pick Raven DNA for the baby?" L sighed, she had known this queston was coming, and had been prepaired for a while. "Well hon, let me start by saying that both Glave and I thought it would be a wonderful chance to pass on our own children, and give you a sibling! Your the best we could have ever hoped for, and I mean it but your dad and I wanted to create our own child for the world, not just raise a beautiful and intelligent one alone.

"And at the same time, this provides us with the most excellent oppurtunity to understand our corvid brothers and sisters just a little more, and also provides us with a prepaired mind to work with!" L tapped her head and then Kiwi''s lightly. "Think if we had used the DNA of a cat or a fox! We have no idea what they''re like. This way we''ll be prepaired for anything unexpected since we both know our field quite well and understand any habits or odd bits that might have to be weened out. Heavens knows we''ll need to watch their diet. Crows can take the tough selection nature provides them with, the human side of your new sibling may not be able to handle what the crow part of them tells them they can. See what I mean? We will know what to watch out for." Kiwi seemed to understand and nodded knowingly.

"Overall, Corvids and Ravens are esspessialy smart and beautiful birds, provided with a database of all the animals in the world neither of use would pick another." She held her hand out. "And we knew you would appretiate our desision too!" She smiled and started to load her things onto the converor belt.Kiwi put his hands to his bottom lip and apon thinking about it decided he rather liked his mother''s diplomatic responce. And he rather fancied a feathered sibling.

As he handed his mother Lana he stared into the crow''s blue eyes, the eyes of a baby corvid, that brilliant blue. And he secretly promiced his future sibling that he would do his very best to watch over, protect, and always love them, no matter what nucince they might bring. As his mother passed papers and cards back and forth with the man at the register Kiwi hoisted up one of the smaller bags and rescued Lana from under a baby book to set her neatly on his shoulder. They both carried the assorted bags out to the Vespa and started pileing them into the sides. L suddenly turned to her pocket.

"We know of a ancient radiation that haunts dis- beep!" L smiled politely and showed Kiwi her celphone which had begun to sing to "Frank Senatra" meaning that she had gotten a call, seeing it was her husband she threw it on speaker phone. "Hey baby, hows it going at the fort?" L cooed to her mate over the cellular obomination. "Oh honieee, the baby is kicking. It''s not a very fun feeling.." Her husbands voice wined through the speaker, L quickly took it off speakerphone and pressed the phone to her ear. Kiwi''s eyes lit up "The baby! It''s there! Oh Mr. Stork came soon!" L laughed nervously. The other side of the line grew silent as well, aparently Glave had heard their son''s responce as well. "Oh honey, ixnay on day aybay nay." L had never known pig latin, but Glave got the hint, L put it back on the speaker phone hoping her husband was as clever as he usualy was.

"Oh, no, one secound. This.. isn''t the right one. Nope, the wristband says so right here, this is clearly the Mimmel''s baby, not ours. I''m afraid your going to have to return him Mr. Stork. Yes I''m sorry, no tip for you. Shoo now! Off you go!" What sounded like the rustle of sheets being tossed about drifted through the speaker and Kiwi groaned. "If they used jackjaws instead of stupid storks they would make less mistakes in baby delivery." Kiwi grumbled and hung his head. L patted him on the back, "Well unfortunatly the Baby Delivery Stork Union has already monopolised the market in baby delivery, theres not much we can do. When the resistance comes you bet they''ll be the first against the wall." L laughed over her obvious refrence and codedly suggested to Glave that he let it listen to some music as she offered Kiwi a helmet.

Little did they know, but a few feet away a rift appeared in space time and through it came one page of Encyclopedia Galactica. And on it read "And when the resistance came, the BDSU were the first against the wall." Indeed somewhere in Great Britain the mighty Douglas Adams was turning at a steady 2000RPM in his grave and elsewhere a terrilble teenage American menice was laughing.

"What do you think that fruit dose with all those peppers he bites anyways? Theres people who might have wanted to eat those." Glave mumbled distantly about the fancifully dressed man smiling into the camera. "I don't think The Iron Chef is very conservative centered babe." L was messing with Glave's hair as they were curled up on the couch together, him in the middle with one large arm around his wife and the other nestling a bowl of popcorn. His attention, unlike Peo and Kiwi's wasn't on the popcorn though, his eyes were fixed on L's round fingers working fruitlessly on one especially long strand of bang.

"You do some nice CGI, but you've always been hell with hair L" he smiled coyly and his mate gave the strands she had been working on braiding a loose yank, he yelped and she returned the smile, rubbing the spot she tugged softly and kissing it. "No making fun of work in progress." She whispered, they gazed into each other's eyes contemplating the under-lying meaning.

"Peo! OH stop hogging the popcorn!" Kiwi whined at the beggar sitting on his lap. Peo croaked at her master's dismemberment and brought him the last piece of popcorn unscathed, sitting it neatly on his left knee. Kiwi petted her and gave it back, The crow looked up and with a nod from Kiwi greedily gobbled it up. "Momm, we're out of popcorn!" Kiwi complained. L groaned as she untangled from her husband to sit up but he stopped her with and outstretched hand. "I've been sitting down for hours, I should get up at least once in a while." He protested, L gave in and sat back down.

Her husband rocked forward with some effort and stood up. He was starting to exceed the limit of his favorite sweater and L supposed she'd have to buy him some maternity clothes soon since his stomach was beginning to hang out again. His lack of exercise was beginning to show in his rump too, unhelped by the sweat pants that he now wore most the time, He'd already gained 20 pounds 3/4ths of the way through his 2nd trimester alone, but he remained undaunted. He kept up a steady resolve to loose anything that may come his way in 2 to 3 months after the child was delivered and she had every bit of faith in him.

He made his way out to the kitchen to pop another bag in the microwave when the doorbell rang. L bit her lip to keep from spewing curses about visitors coming at such a late hour, looking at her watch she looked over at Kiwi. "Hey young man, it's 10 already! How did you manage to slip by us?" She faked crossness, and after exchanging a treasonous glace with Peo the green haired youth sprinted upstairs with the crow perched on his shoulder. L watched his way up and got up to answer the door which was being rapped against loudly again.

Upon opening the door and looking up it a robust face decked out in a knights helm greeted her with a toothy smile. "Leon!" She gasped, she had been doing her best to keep him from coming since they found out about Glave's pregnancy. This was the last person who could possibly help. "Hello Mad' am." he said, bowing low and removing his helm. He put a thick hand on the door frame and stuck his head in, which L nearly closed the door on. "Is your ol' ball n' chain around anywhere?" He asked loudly. L stammered for a response but it was too late, Glave had walked out from behind the kitchen wall to see what the ruckus was, one arm holding up his prominent belly while the other boasted a bowl of popcorn. Leon's eyes nearly dropped out of his head.

"Oh ah... Leon!" Glave blushed a furious shade of red, dropped the bowel of popcorn and instead resumed a more beer-belly approach to addressing his stomach, resting his hand on top instead. It was too late though, the damage had been done. L tried to block the door frame but Leon merely picked her up gently with a hand under each arm and set her a foot to the left like a small child blocking the way to the bathroom before charging his old brother in arms. Glave backed up but a thick black arm projected out in front of the intruder, followed by it's owner, a large black sea monster who's height matched Leon's. His other arm was occupied by a blue popsicle which was inserted firmly into his mouth, but the cold treat did little to take away from the ominous mountain of muscle that was the strange creature named Vinn.

Glave mentally thanked Vinn and backed up a little further, rejoining his wife. Vin re-crossed his arm around his own waist and grunted in a low voice that could be interpreted in any language as "try me". Leon took the hint, he wasn't mean after all, just rambunctious, and the unusually tame reception from his chivalrous brother had unsettled him. "Glave! My brother! I've missed you, it's been months!" He kept standing on his toes and swaying about to try and get a better look at the expecting man but Vinn swayed and dodged with him, blocking his view. "What has happened to you? Thats no beer belly, I know beer bellies. You don't even drink!" Leon snorted, testosterone the home had not seen in nearly half a year filled the room.

"Well, uh, Leon, things have been a little unusual lately. And we're... we're..." He tried to continue but his mouth kept locking, Vinn turned his head and smiled at him to encourage him, L also tightened her cling on her man's arm. "We're having a baby." He finished, blushing so red it looked like his face was trying to hid by blending in with his hair, and succeeding. Leon's face when from disturbed to blank and then to a smile and then to curiosity with what seemed a conscious effort. "Well Mrs. Himmel, you look quite fine for an expecting mad? am. May you have a strong son!" He boomed in a confident voice. L mumbled thanks, Leon had never been good at connect-the-dots.

"No Leon, I'm having the baby." Glave growled. Leon's face went back to blank, "Well thats good, I'd imagine you'd have contributed some genetics to the pool considering your her husband." L clasped a hand over her face, Vinn rolled his eyes from beneath his opaque green goggles.

"I'M PREGNANT LEON." Glave boomed, he stepped out from beside Vinn. This time he had both hands under his stomach, however his face, though his voice sounded angry, looked more confident then anything else. Leon's face remained blank and friendly, "Oh." he replied politely, as if someone have corrected him on the political position of Nebraska, and promptly fainted.

Glave wagged his eyebrows and walked off to get a broom for the popcorn. Cowan who had just walked in as a result of the commotion giggled. "It's a nice night, lets drag him outside and let him wake up by himself." Vinn chuckled in confirmation of his attraction to the idea and the man who possessed it and they both took a leg, and began dragging Leon outside while humming different octaves of show tunes together.

L was stunned as her husband returned with the broom and she bent down with the dust pan to collect the bits he swept up. "You've been waiting for a while to get that off your shoulders, haven?t you?" She asked. Glave simply nodded, "I've been okay with the idea, but I've never really admitted it to myself." He stopped and leaned on his broom stick, "I think I might have to thank Leon when he wakes up this morning." He chuckled, "I'll have to stop by his house in a few months and surprise some of my other old buddies. This is the first time I've actually been proud of my situation, you know? I think I'm starting to understand what you would have gone through, and I'm glad I'm here to take the burden." He smiled deeply and searched L's eyes who returned the search efforts.

"Yeah well, lets do it the more natural way if we ever do this again, women are built for this sort of thing." She smiled and pinched his butt "Plus we don't want this to become a permanent addition to the household. Now go get to bed before I have to chase you in there."

---

"Hehe! He looks like a total fruit! Your not exactly a master of makeup Vinn!" Cowan cackled quietly as Vinn made a elegant swirl with L's old lipstick across Leon's cheek, streaking way past the lips. Cowan patted away busily with a blush puff with no regard for face lines. They made the finishing touch with a empty bottle of beer placed so it appeared it fell off his face. When the two finished their evil work they sprinted back into the house leaving their victim and his relics planted neatly in the neighbor's yard.

Raving Sohma

//--The Appointment--//-----
Farland clinic prompt: Raving Sohma

A young girl ran down an empty alleyway, her long flaming red hair danced behind her in the wind. The head almost seemed on fire. She looked behind her, black tiger like stripes tattooed on her rather pale face. She cursed under her breath as her captors were closing in. She had never been good at running but now she wished that she had done more P.E in school. "Miss Sohma!" Her captors shouted, not angrily but rather in a way that seemed she was in charge of them. "Miss Sohma please stop!" The young girl kept running despite their pleas. 'How did they find me? How did they know I was here?' she thought bitterly falling to her knees, finally giving up the chase. She sat in the middle of the alley way waiting for them to come up to her. The girl looked less then glamorous, in a short red miniskirt which was now even dirtier then it had been before the chance started. He captors walked over to her, dressed in black and sunglasses they almost looked like they were from the FBI. The striped girl looked up at them, her emerald eyes staring to the spectacled ones of her captors.

User Image

"What do my parents want now?" she asked bitterly her eyes returned to the ground in front of her. Her 'captors' looked at each other, their expression was one of slight pity. "Your parents only wish to speak to you, now that you have turned eighteen, Miss Sohma." One of her captors replied. The other looked at his watch edgily. The other honkered down so that he was almost level with the rather pouty teenager. "So are you ready to go back to your parents, Miss Sohma?" he asked kindly. The teenager seemed to be thinking of her chances of both knocking over and possibly hurting her captors and getting away at the same time. She figured that she had a less the fifty percent chance so stubbornly shook her head, starting to get up. "We shouldn't keep the king and queen waiting" one of the men said shaking his head. "Shall we set off Miss. Sohma?" Her flaming red head turned and she muttered. "Raving, just call me Raving" and the trio walked away in silence, the pouting teen in the middle of her two bodyguards.

User Image

The limo ride was in complete silence. Raving, who wasn't as used to the plush surroundings as she once was, was investigating many of the interesting things in the limo including the minibar, the DVD player and a very interesting window which separated the driver from the rest of the limo. The two black clad men simply sat in silence looking intimidating. Everyone once in a while you could hear a comment from Raving such as an "Oooooh" or maybe "What does this do?" Her fluffy orange and black tail flicked with amusement. As they turned into a large and familiar driveway Ravings heart skipped a beat and sat back into her seat, crossing her arms and pouted, putting her large catlike ears flat on the back of her head. The limo drove up to the door of a large castle like structure. The driver got out of the car and opened up one of the tinted doors for Raving. She got up nervously and stepped out, thanking the driver. Her slipper clad feet touched the ground and she stood there, looking up at the large building, memories flooding her mind like rain after a hurricane. She stood up straight and walked into the building, her bodyguards behind her trying to catch up "Miss. Sohma! Wait up!"

"It's Raving!"

User Image

Raving entered a big, spacious room. The room was lined with gold and red velvet. It almost made Raving nauseous thinking of how much the room probably cost. Two figures would be seen at the other end of the room so Raving walked the ill feeling only growing larger as she got closer and closer to the top of the room. She could now see the flame coloured hair of both her parents and she sighed walking straight and confidently. Her walking was completely opposite to her mood. She felt dizzy with anxiety and her tail twitched nervously. She stood at the top of the room completely still feeling a lot less courageous then the last time that she was here. Her father looked down on her, an expression of distance on his pale and equally stripped face. Her mother, on the other hand, gave her a warm, sympathetic smile. Raving stood here in silence, afraid of what was going to come next. Finally her father spoke.

User Image

"So you're calling yourself Raving now?" he asked in a mocking tone, "Raving Sohma even." Raving nodded her temper rising. "And why did you run away? Why did you change your name?" he asked again, his face expressionless and tone flat. Raving continued to stay silent, trying to look confident. Unfortunately she had one habit of curling her hair around her fingers behind her head when she was nervous and this was the only thing that was giving her away. She did not answer the question but instead asked in a rather impatient voice. "Why did you bring me here?"

User Image

Her mother looked a little shocked at the harshness of her daughters' voice but smiled none the less. "Well Persephone, as you know you are now eighteen." She started slowly. "You are our only daughter and, as you've been told since you were a little girl are the only heir to the Riocht throne. As our only heir you must continue the pure tiger genes of the Riocht family." Raving looked down watching the only thing that was on the floor, her feet. She had gotten this talk many times but was never chanced down a smelly alleyway by two men clad in black and brought back by force to get the talk thus this was a new experience. "You have turned eighteen and are thus old enough to carry on the Riocht legacy." Her mother continued. Raving looked up, shocked. "So, you're telling me that since I'm eighteen you want me to get pregnant?" she asked, outraged. Her mother nodded "As is tradition, Persephone" she said quietly. "Do you mean with anyone or what?" Raving asked suspiciously, her thoughts wandering off to Rage and Tine back at home, her own family that her mother didn't know about.

User Image

She had Rages child, Tine when she was only 16 but was a very happy and proud mother. Of course Tine wasn't of pure tiger blood as the Riocht family were supposed to be so she could not tell her parents about him. She didn't mind anyway since as soon as this little meeting was over she was going to go right back to Rage and her Tine and have nothing more to do with the Riocht family. For all her friends knew she was just Raving Sohma, a rather eccentric girl from an unknown origin.

User Image

"Of course not" her mother said, smiling once more thinking her only daughter was a little simple. "You know it has to be from someone else who has tiger blood in them" Raving stopped, smiling slightly. "But I don't know anyone with tiger blood in them" she said rather smugly. "Of course you don't!" her father shouted butting into the conversation. "That is why the Riochts are so special and rare!"

"I know that the Riochts are special and rare" she said stressing the two words that her father just said. "But if there are no people with tiger blood in them how am I supposed to have a child with pure tiger blood in them?" Her parents smiled in an all knowing fashion that Raving loathed. "Well" her mother said, the smile still planted on her stripped face "We found a place called the Farland Clinic which will artificially inciminate you with tiger blood and thus your child will be of almost pure tiger blood, the purest of all tiger blood." Raving stared, angry that her ingenious plan had just been pissed all over. If she were to get pregnant her parents would make it damn hard for her to get away again especially now that her parents knew her new name.

"So where is this place?" she asked suspiciously. "Not that far at all" her mother replied smiling. "In fact Romulus, Remus, you and I are going to go there right now after all there is no time like the present." She said getting off her cushioned seat and walking over to her daughter smiling warmly. Raving glared as Romulus and Remus, the two bodyguards walked up to them and walked at either side of the two. The four of them walked to the limo, Raving once again thinking of how she could get out of this mess. After 20 minutes she couldn't think of anything and thus started to think of baby names, after all it was the only thing she had any choice in now. Her mother smiled once again. "Now Persephone, I'll be sure to ask them for the purest vial for tigers as, you know you are only half tiger yourself." Raving looked up sulkily. She of course knew this, her father was half Persian cat and thus inherited pointed ears and a very puffy tail from him aswell as a rather flat nose. "But I don't want a child" Raving said quietly, looking away from her mother feeling betrayed. "I don't think I'm ready for one." She added hoping to pull on her mothers heartstrings. Her mother on the other hand wasn't really listening and instead just smiled at her. Raving looked back down at the floor thinking about how Rage would take this. She was sure he wouldn't be angry but rather be supportive but she was sure that inside he wouldn't be happy at all.

After what seemed no time at all they parked outside a small, quaint clinic. The driver once again got out of the car and opened to door for them. Ravings mother got out first and Raving sat there for a few seconds seeing if perchance she would be able to run away before either Romulus or Remus could catch her. She decided that she wouldn't be able to scale the fence before they would catch her and thus got slowly out of the car, dragging her feet in the dirt. They walked into the reception and her mother immediately walked up to the receptionist and told her who she was and such. She turned back in a huff. "They said we'd have to wait, like commoners!" she shouted, outraged and sulky. She sat down beside Raving who read a magazine, trying to take her mind off what was going to happen to her. After a few minutes a fair haired woman walked out of a room. She turned to them and smiled. "You must be the Riochts" she said looking from Romulus, clad in all black to Raving who was wearing a rather gothic but dirty top, a red miniskirt and belt, stripy socks and an arrangement of a number of rather interesting items. "Who's Persephone?" she asked smiling again. Raving put up her hand after thinking about if for a few minutes. She hadn't been called by that name in quite a long time. "And that means that this must be your mother" she said smiling once more, her voice tinged with sympathy. Raving nodded once more. "Please come with me then" she said leading the way. Romulus and Remus got to their hefty feet. "You stay here" Raving hissed through clenched teeth and followed her mother and the fair haired woman.

As they entered a room that looked very much like an ordinary doctor's office the woman turned to the two Riochts. "My name is Farland" she said smiling and shook their hands. "Now what can I do for you?" Ravings mother launched into explaining what she wanted, stressing the importance of it being pure tiger blood. Once again Ravings thoughts were on different things, mostly escaping. Farland turned to Raving "And do you want this as well?" she asked her. Raving, who hadn't been paying attention, shook herself out of her daydream. "Um...yes" she said finally, hoping that the answer would make some amount of sense. Farland looked at her for a few seconds. "Alright then. If you would please leave the room Mrs. Riocht I'd like to speak to your daughter privately." Ravings mother left the room huffily muttering such things as "I'm her mother!" and "Do you even know who I am?"

User Image

"Anything you'd like to talk about? Questions and so on?" Farland asked Raving gently. Raving thought for a second and then smiled, a little cockily. "By any chance could I have a different vial, other then the vial for tigers?" she asked smiling. This would be her ultimate revenge on her parents, for what they were doing to her. "Well which vial would you like then?" Farland asked pointing to the vials that were standing on the counter. Raving examined each one of them closely and finally her finger landed on the last one. "May I have the rodent one please?" she asked smiling once more, picking up the vial carefully and handing it to the fair haired Farland. Farland looked back at her, a little nervously. "But doesn't your mother want you to have pure tiger blood or something?" she asked. Raving nodded and smiled once more. "I want to have a porcupine child please, if at all possible." She said smiling again. "I don't care what my mother wants." Farland looked at Raving and nodded. "Are you sure?"

"Positive."

After the nessisary prosidors Raving walked back out and smiled to Farland. "Now you'll have to come here regularly for ultrasounds and such you do know that?" Farland told her and her mother. Raving nodded before noticing a motorbike outside the clinic. Her mother went over to the counter to pay so she was left unattended, completely alone.

She ran as fast as her legs could carry her jumping on the bike. The keys were in the transmission, it was the perfect escape. She started the engine and before anyone had a chance to look she was gone, back to her real home, her real friends and her real family. She could hear her mother shouting at Romulus and Remus, telling them to start the car but she had gotten the head start that she needed and before long was so far away that they could never catch up with her. She could imagine what her parents were like now, letting the only heir to the throne get away not once but twice. Raving was never going back there again, she was never a princess in her mind and now no child of hers was going to be a prince or princess. As she sped off into the distance her mind wandered once again but not to things like escaping but rather of the child that was now going to be. She wouldn't be able to run, she would be completely vorarale but she wasn't going back there. She was going to raise her child in the safety of a kind, caring home. Not a castle where all that mattered was making sure you kept the Riocht genes going.

She parked the bike outside her small townhouse and opened the door. Tine, Rage and her adopted children would no doubt be wondering where she was by now. "Mummy!" Tine shouted happily looking up from his video game. Raving picked him up and kissed him on the forehead, smiling. "Where were you mummy?"
"Oh just, went out for a walk" Raving said smiling walking into the kitchen of her house, giving Rage a kiss.

"Eww Mummy that's gross!"

Raving was happy to be home again. Now all she had to do was to tell Rage the rather spiky news.

Leon grunted and heaved the mattress up and under one of his great arms and begun to slowly manuver it into the house from the delivery truck. "Careful Leon! Okay, that one is going into the first room on the left!" L made swooshing movements with her arms as if guiding a plane down a strip as she led Glave's big friend into the house, mattress in tow.

The home had gone under some re-construction in anticipation of it's new houseguests and soon to be born addition, and today had been the first bright sunny day for a while, so Glave called Leon over to help out and get a free dinner, who eagerly agreed on the condition that Glave didn't cook it.

Glave looked up and watched the couple manuver the mattress through the door and down the new hallway. "Hey Leon!" He called "Nice tropical shirt, The pastel parrots realy bring out the color of your hair." He laughed, Leon looked back over his shoulder, the mattress swayed almost tipping a hurricane lamp, but Kiwi jumped in just in time to deflect the blow. Watching the lamp wearily he backed down the hall on his way through to distribute some pillows to the new rooms.

"Nice maternity shirt, realy brings out your belly-button." Leon scoffed back. "And the baby blue suits your eyes." He batted his eyes and hiked up a leg in mock school-girl before continuing through the hallway. Glave muttered grumpily and bit viciously into another whole pickle.

"Hey Raving! How do you want your bed set up in your room?" She called, backing into a corner to give Leon more room to swing the giant mattress against a wall.

Raving thought for a second. "Um...over against the wall would be great" she said after a few minutes desciding. Being a libra and the person that she was in general was really wasn't good at making any sort of descision.

Tine stood out of the way, his headphones around his neck. He didn't perticularly like the comotion being the very quiet person that he was. He let himself drift into his own thoughts, sitting on the stairs. One of the main things he noticed was that his mummy was being awfully strange. She now insisted that she nad no flesh on her stomach showing because according to herself she was "fat." Tine desicided to stop thinking about this, as it bored him and fiddled with the headphones around his neck again.

Raving, who was wearing one of Glaves red jumpers was on the phone once again. Luckely she had brought her mobile because otherwise she would have been racking up the phone bill pretty heavily. She was talking to Rage at the moment, who had rang to tell her that Sora, one of her first adopted children, had grown into a teenager. Thus Raving had then insisted on talking to him herself.

"Sora!" she squeeled. "Speak to me!" Sora, on the other end knew what was coming next and so braced himself. "Hi mum!" he replied, sighing. A very loud sqealing noise could be heard at the other end of the line. Sora sighed.

"Your voice! Its all deep and stuff! My babies all growing all up!"

"Okay, okay, relax mum." he said waiting for her to say what he just new she was going to say.

"Namine grown yet"

"Not that I know of"

"Well when she does I want lots of babies, straight away!"

There it was. Sora sighed. "No mum! For the one hundreth million time. Anyway I have to go. I'll talk to you tomorrow!"

"Bye hun! Love you!"

"Love you too mum!"

Raving turned back to everyone in the room.

Leon, L, and Kiwi who had been peeking in all sweatdroped simoltaniously, but when Raving looked up quickly resumed their doings.

"Okay leon, why don't you nestle it down in that corner hum? We'll get the frame in here later." She said guiding him to the wall with a large window view of the tire tree and then receiving a pillow to the back of the head. She turned around just in time to see Kiwi giggling and running down the hall with the rest of the pillows.

"Oof! Hey! Those arn't for throwing! You could have knocked over the pickle jar." She heard her husband whine from the livining room. Chucking she picked back up the pillow she had received and tossed it at Raving. "This one is yours." She said merrily, "We'll have to go shopping later so you can outfit this and Tine's room."

User Image

Tine, who had heard Kiwi coming jumped out at him. "Boo!" he shouted as loud as he could, which wasn't that loud. His tail flicked playfully and his ears were back in anticipation of play.

Raving caught the pillow with supricingly good reflexes. "Thanks! That sounds brillent!" she said placing the pillow softly on the matress. "Once again I just can't thank you enough especially since you have alot on your hands as it is" she said laughing and gesturing to the whining knight.

User Image

Kiwi jumped a foot in surprise sending pillows flying in all directions! "Eeek!! Tine! Why you!" He laughed and tackled his friend lightly, careful not to hurt him in his ignorance of Tine's limits for rough-houseing.

L flapped a hand in Raving's direction "You'd do the same I'm sure, a friend in need, right? Besides, it's nice not being the only female in the house." Leon looked over and chuckled, "You had yourself a playgirl mansion, whats there to complain about?". L glanced over at him, "You develop a different view of an overabundence of the opposite gender once your married and have to feed them." She sighed, Leon grunted. "You lost me there." He said and turned to pushing the bed into the corner. L looked over at Raving with an arched brow, "too many sylabols." she laughed.

User Image

Tine fell over laughing with a rather large "oof" noise. "Hey its not my fault you scare easily" he said through laughs. His bright red hair almost completely covered him eyes so he was having a bit of trouble seeing.

Raving laughed. "I feel you pain L. Theres all of about 3 girls in my house, all of which are between the ages of 5 and 10 and as you can tell, there are alot of adopted children wandering all around my house!" she said laughing. It was true. Her house was almost like a zoo but with people and a few animals instead of the otherway round. With thirteen floors with most of the spaces filled there were alot of residence in her house, almost like a hotel.

User Image

Kiwi found himself hypnotised by the amount of bright red hair flailing about on his friend before him, he let go and feel back on his back on the bed next to Tine. Folding his arms behind his head he stared at the ceiling, "I want my hair to be as long as yours~" He said unconciously, almost sing-song.

"I've seen the pictures," L laughed nervously, "You've got a regular hotel Rwanda on your hands! Well, except in brighter spirits. Rage must have alot on his hands without you there. I couldn't imagine having that many kids!" She laughed loudly and the phone rang, she held her finger up meaning for Raving to hold ona moment and ran off into the kitchen.

User Image

Tine brushed his hair out of his face and leaned over, smiling. "You know the only reason my hairs so long?" he said turning back onto his back. He remembered when raving first tired to cut his hair and he went completely hysterical. "Becuase I'm afraid of getting my hair cut and sissors in general" he said laughing, a little nervously. He had never told anyone the reason why he never cut his hair. He thought himself that it was stupid and babyish. "Stupid huh?"

Raving laughed "Yeah we have a pretty full house, but there room for more" she said smiling. "Yeah I feel sorry for Rage but the older kids will help him out, they're all very good at babysitting by now!" she said laughing. She sat down on the bed looking out at the view. "This place is beautiful" he said smiling.

User Image

Kiwi looked over at him "Not stupid at all!" He said simply, "I've stepped on sissors before, they arn't very fun. John back at the orphanage was the only one I'd let cut my hair, just ebcause I didn't want it to look funny and he always seemed to get it right. Since then I havn't had it cut once and it's gotten rather longer." He brushed a hand through it, denying the urge to nibble on a few strands straying near his mouth. "I rather like it this way though."

L sat down and peered out the window from a side. "You think it's nice now, wait till you see it in the fall from a hammoc. Best time of my life just laying in that damn thing with that whiny little man of mine, well, not realy little any more. Poor thing dosn't look so trim from all the laying around, not to mention the pregnancy. The docters gave me premission the other day to take him to the local swim place in a few days so he can move around a little. "Wanna come?"

User Image

Tine smiled. "I like your hair long too. I think it suits you." Tine said nodding and looking back up at the ceiling. "Are you adopted?" he asked, a little surpriced. The only reason he was surpriced was because most to all of Ravings adopted children either were animals or had animal features. Tine of course knew that he himself had animal features but he thought that he must be an acception. He thought that all people who looked, well, normal were their children, because that was what he was used to. "I want to grow my hair till it comes down past my bum!" he said laughing.

"I bet its fabulous" Raving said looking out again. She was used to being in the city. She loved it, yes but she had forgotten just how pretty greenery and things that wern't gray cement could be. "Swimming?" she asked, smiling. She was quite good at swimming, loved the water. He tiger genes seemed to over ride the cat genes and of course, tigers love water. "Swimming sounds fun" she said nodding brightly. "Do you want to bring Kiwi and Tine along aswell?" she asked.

User Image

"I think it would look nice like that, I'm just going to let mine grow till it looks nice, then I'll keep it like that." He messed with it a bit and swept it out of his eyes."Yes I am!" Kiwi beamed, he wore his adoption like a badge whenever the topic came up. "I came from the Prosperous Orphanage! Ever been there?!" He started to get a little hyper and bounced on the bed a bit.

User Image

Tine nodded "I think raving brought me there once. I wasn't quite sure why though. Now I guess I know!" he said laughing. "Oh have I showed you my headphones yet?" he asked taking off the earphones around his neck and places them carefully on his lap, as though it was some presious jewel. He flicked his hair off his face, as though he was now used to it. It seemed to be like a wave of red when it was flicked, almost like a sea.

User Image

"Wow no! I don't think so! Are they loud?" He asked almost at a whisper, his attention divided between that headsets and the flow of hair next to him.

User Image

"Well see they're not really headphones" Tine explained. He places them on his lap and almost petted them fondly. "Mummy says that if i keep playing them over and over again then a little pet for me will come out eventually!" he said nodding vigirously, the sea of red hair moving with his nods.

User Image

Kiwi's eyes got big and he bent over to stare realy close at the headphones. "Realy?! Did she say what?" He watched it very closely as if it could jump up and preform a jig at any moment.

User Image

"She said that if I keep listening to they really loudly that eventually a pet of some sort, which she wont tell me what exactly it is" he said nodding and keeping the headphones gently on his lap. "I can't wait. She said that the headphones are called Sky!"

User Image

"I wonder what kind of pet it will be," Kiwi thought outloud, "Maybe like Roku, he's just weird. None of us understand a word he says. Have you seen roku yet? Oh! And what kind of music do you listen to on those?"
