WEell of course...us being fragile American children.
But they cut yours too a bit don't they? Not as much as ours.
Apparently you Candians aren't as fragile as us Americans...then again....we ARE the ones who are mostly serial killers and what not.

Well, so far it's all okay. But I've been getting Bleach from a freind, who downloaded a fansub.
Nah, see in America, violence, naughty language, sex...it's okay if it's AMERICAN. If it's from anywhere else, it has to be carefully edited.
You ever see Naruto? In like, the second episode, one kid bumps Naruto into another, so that they kiss. It's hilarious, but they cut the scene when it made it to American T.V.

What gets me is they don't always do a good job of editing. Especially with language. They dont' even try to make it blend in so it's all obvious.

Well, Japanese aniamtion is easy to sync anyway. Since the mouth just opens and closes.
The freakin' dubbing just sucks, ie dialog and acting. Not to emntion the chosen voices are aweful.
A sixteen year old does not sound like a twenty five year old.

I remember a Yu-Gi-Oh! episode that was so edited it had the soundtrack off adn they didn't even bother to go back to fix it.
Remember Steph? The one where Marik is daydreaming about motorcycles and the episode was so originally bogged down with beatings and whipping and carving symbols into his back that it was hacked to pieces to barely nothing? They even took the tip off the Millenium Rod. neutral

Then again we've seen a gun completely edited out but the hand still in the gun holding position.

HeyI like Yu-Gi-Oh!...well...the uncut version anyway. The cut version can in fact die. Bad enough the damn kids saturday morning cartoon channel is hacking apart what was supposed to be a beautiful angst filled Ancient Egyptian arc.
But yes, Pokemon can in fact die.
Yes yes, I told you they think we're overly fragile. Yay Requiem From The Darkness! That's got lots of fun violence and what not.
