@ Osaka -- ....No, not really. But I don't like bossing people around. ;____;
@ Lone -- ...I can't tell if that's cheap or expensive.

It's on the expensive side. In Montreal, a 2 bedroom apartment would be around 800$ and 1200$ depending on the neighbourhood you're living in. More than that it's not worth it and lower than that... well, something must be wrong with it.
But the point was, I wouldn't be able to afford that if I was poor lol.

Some were in total. Other were splitting with a roommate. But I won't have a roommate, so the costs would be just me.
Again depends. I know one had 2 rooms. But, again, depends. Most of them were either one or two rooms. I think two I read about covered electricity.
...Still looking for apartments tho D:

In Tokyo, the cheapest apartment I've seen is about $500, and that's just a one room apartment. No kitchen or anything, just enough space for a futon and a desk.
My apartment is 150,000 yen a month ($1850 USD) but I share it with two other girls, so I only pay 50,000 a month ($600 USD) for basic rent. It's a 3K, so three bedrooms and a kitchen. There's not much space, but I suppose the bedrooms are pretty big in comparison to the one-person apartments I've seen.
My parents often complain about how expensive my rent is, and that maybe I should look at moving out on my own so I can have a smaller place, but if I wanted a one bedroom in Tokyo (my friend who has the $500 apartment lives in a small town outside of Kawasaki, a city in the neighboring prefecture) with a kitchen, I'd easily have to pay $1000 for a 1K. o____o
It sucks, because there is plenty of cheap housing in Tokyo, but most of the time they won't rent to foreigners. ;_____;

@Fanta: Well, everytime you add a room, it gets more expencive. For a bachelor here (one big room being your kitchen/living room/bedroom + a small bathroom), you'd pay about 500-700$. A 1 bedroom + kitchen + livingroom + bathroom would be between 650 and 1000$ (my previous one was 860$), a 2 beroom, like I said, is between 800 and 1200$. As for a 3bedroom, good luck finding anything under 1100$.
Well, duplex are cheaper than apparment, but there's usually nothing included (ie: Electricity, hot water, heat, etc) and dont have fridge, stove/oven or washing machine/Drying that apartment have.
@Loli: Damn, that is expencive o-o. Also, Damn those Xenophobe Japanese!

I'm so screwed when I have to look for a house o.o //assuming prices will sky rocket in a few years.
My main problem is location. Apparently most of the ones I checked are too far away. So I gotta check near the college with my parents. But apartments are unsailed territory for me of which I am learning about now owo
I do know where I WAS supposed to stay was around 850$ divided by 4 who'd be rooming. 2 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 big room, and a small bathroom. But that fell through, and it's too expensive by myself considering utilities aren't included. I didn't know about the fridge, stove/oven and washing machines/dryers.
I'm getting a lot of 'o.o' faces every time I say I'm looking for an apartment now. Since it's a month till class start, most of my friends already have housing set.

So you'd have been doing 2 people in 1 bedroom? Urg, I'd hate that XD I like to have my own bedroom and 425$ each wouldn't have been expensive either. But yeah, I'd tell you to either get a roommate or live in a resience, but it's a bit late for that o-o. (Then again, the year I live in a rez, it was 650$ a month (everything included) for a medium size room, a tiny kticehn and tiny bathroom o-o.)

I like that I skipped school specifically to work on this paper, and instead I'm sitting here trying to draw. And failing.

Yeah. I wasn't thrilled either but xD HOW MUCH? o.o The cheapest housing at my college is 40 a month, but I'm not sure what the requisites are to be accepted. The private ones are from 225$ with a roommate, 350$ on your own, and it ranges for handicap and marriages. That was where I wasn't accepted.
...I have a slight problem with that. I have no one to be my roommate o.o No one I know anyways.
But we'll see. In about two weeks I'm officially going apartment hunting, after all summer students move out.

@Loli: Bad Loli! D<
@Fanta: Damn, those are cheap xD But yeah, my dorm was expencive o-o. But it was the less crappy one, so I dunno how much the others were. I know my current roommate was in a dorm last year and it costed 350 for a TINY room. They had to share a kitchen and bathroom/shower with the whole dorm.
No wonder she almost begged me to move in with me xD
