They all sound pretty basic. They all sound pretty basic, until you get into the mechanics of it.
The sniper archer I just did last night. Basic range for a longbow is 100 ft, max range is 1,000 but you suffer -18 to your attack roll. The guy I drew up has a max range of 3450 feet, still has a +7 at that range, and could hit several times per turn from that range. Combined with the fact that basic move speed is 30 feet per round (90 at a full run), it would take them like 40 turns just to get to where my character was, and that's only if they managed to spot him with his +35 Hide skill. About 25 damage per hit.
The other archer had to be within 30 feet of the target, but he had like +50 to his Hide, and could do about 120 damage per round.
And I also approve of the waltz knight. I deliberately sacrificed actual combat ability for making him a pompous jackass like Griffith.
