Ike: *Finds it hard to see in the dimly-lit casino floor. Kurtis wasn't anywhere to be found, but surely enough, there were silhouettes of Pokemon (no doubt dark-types) moving between all the slots and card tables* Alright guys, lets do this before anyone comes back. *reaches for Swampert's Pokeball*

*Ike and Swampert walk along the casino floor. It didn't take them long until they ran into a Houndour, no doubt a "guard dog" of the Brilliance Gang.*
Houndour: *Gets into a threatening stance and growls*
Ike: *Looks at Swampert* It's all you.
Swampert: ... *looks at the Houndour* ...not a very friendly puppy...
Houndour: *Takes offense to "puppy" and makes the first move: Flamethrower. The flames light up the casino floor as the reach Swampert, but the flames do little damage.*
Ike: Swamp, water gun!
Swampert: *Takes in a breath and shoots out water at the Houndour, backing it up into a bunch of slots and almost knocking them over.*
Ike: Careful! We don't want to leave evidence that we were in here!
Swampert: *Stops the attack* Whoops...
Houndour: *Gets back up and continues to growl at Swampert. It then starts charging at him and takes a lunge, going for a Crunch attack.*
Swampert: *Doesn't see the attack coming from the lack of light and is biten hard on the shoulder.*
Ike: Swampert, use Hammer Arm!
Swampert: *Uses his free arm and makes it glow. He swung it around at the Houndour and knocked it off of his shoulder, and knocking it out.*
Ike: o.o Nice hit.
Swampert: *Rubs his shoulder where he was bit*

Sammy walked into the lobby with her pajamas on, Squirt by her side. Both Troy and Vixen were in their pokeballs, sleeping. "Hiya gu-- guys?" Sammy looked around; it seemed that no one was around. "Oh well... 'Guess we get to watch whatever we want." Sammy smiled, plopping on the couch and turning on the TV. Squirt sat beside her, also staring at the flashing images.

It was a perfect opportunity: the Game Corner was, for the first time in memory, closed. I could finally get in and do some digging on the Legendary Brilliance Gang. As I moved to make my entrance, some voices came gradually up the street. Before whoever it was could see me, I quickly ducked into the shadows. Imagine my surprise to see Kurtis leading a group of Aquas into the very lair I was about to infiltrate!

After Kurtis and two of the Aquans scrambled inside, the third one simply vanished! An instant later, someone inside screamed. "Ginji!" I muttered in shock. When I stepped up to the window to peer inside, what do I see but an Umbreon charging straight out! "Oof!" I yell as it tackles me back into the alley.

Hopping quickly back to my feet, I try to block Umbreon's escape by sending out Metang. My pokemon glitters faintly in the dark alleyway. Rising to the challenge, Umbreon fades into the darkness and rams Metang with Faint Attack. Metang hits back with Metal Claw, but Umbreon seems unharmed. The dark-type again vanishes into the shadows and strikes from behind, but my pokemon was ready for that trick and stepped up the game with Meteor Mash. That one left a mark.

Umbreon opted for a little trickery and tagged Metang with Confuse Ray, causing my metal friend to wound itself. The wild pokemon struck again, but Metang was able to counter with another Meteor Mash. As Metang's attack rose, Umbreon staggered back to his feet and drew on Luna's power to heal his wounds. Metang broke out of confusion and took advantage of this opening to drop a seriously damaging Hammer Arm on its foe.

The dark-type was barely standing, but I saw his moon-like markings start to glow again. Before Umbreon could use another Moonlight, I quickly grabbed an empty Ultra Ball and hurled it at the pokemon. He was drawn inside by the beam of red light and the device dropped to the pavement and began to wobble. Tense seconds passed as Umbreon struggled to break free, until finally the ball won the battle. A soft "ping" sounded down the alley and my new catch teleported away to storage.

"Good going, Metang," I said before recalling my pokemon. With that taken care of, I again stepped up to the window and peered inside.

"I don't want to press it." Ginji said nervously. He didn't want anything to explode in his face, just in case. "Kurtis, why don't you look behind the poster?"

Kurtis: *Chickens out* I'm not gonna do it! You're older! You do it!
Ike: *While walking, he jumps out of surprise from Thard* Thard! ... How'd you get here?... *looks over at the other two and the poster* Your the Gang expert and Ginji's the Rocket expert. You two think it over. *Looks around, as if he could find some way into the basement.*

Sammy sat, still wondering where everyone could be. "Hmm..." She mumbled, looking around. No signs of anyone being there. Then a shiny machine caught her eye. Squirt hanging on to her back, Sammy got up and walked over to the odd machine. "What does this do?" She asked, pushing one of the buttons out of curiosity. In an instant, Sammy and Squirt found themselves in a dark room with slot machines and card tables. "What the flipping flapping pancake maker?!" Sammy exclaimed; She saw other aquans at the other side of the room. She looked down at her pajamas; great, now she was in some place she didn't know in her pajamas. Lovely.

Kurtis: *Is unmoved by Maddy's attemp to scare him* rolleyes Pleeeease. I've seen too many scary movies to be afraid of YOU! *starts to laugh*
