Natalia giggled and nodded, leading her husband to the ballroom.

Lunora murred softly, returning the kiss before smling coyly. "We still have to go. No matter how sweet your kisses."

Sora groaned some and sighed, taking it and going to change. How did he know it was going to be a bird costume? It was a Bird of Paradise. Every robe was a different shimmering color and the top one was a rippling black. His obi had two tails on it, thick black cords with disks of shimmering gold at the ends. His mask had the same cords and disks that tied the mask to his head. "I look silly..."

Hakaru smiled and wrapped his arms around his wife before taking her to the ballroom.

Mina did the same as the others, leading her partner to the room.

The preparations were almost complete. The food had been laid out and the ballroom had been decorated like a jungle. There were even live animals. Many of them were of what the new royal family were dressed up as. There were pythons, snow leopards, birds of many kinds, and fish in a giant aquarium, which distinctly held an arapaima. But there was a pair that did stand out. Two male peacocks calling their calls, ruffling their tails, fanning them out and putting them back down. As they raised their tails, the long, shimmering feathers blocked the view of the doorway, when the feathers came back down, Lute had entered, leaving Apollo outside.

It was a masquerade after all. Apollo would give him away so quickly.

[OOC:] That was his 'big' entrance....

Natalia led Yuke out onto the balcony to sit on a bench with him and enjoy the very last rays of sunlight. It was almost night and clouds were moving in. Seems the Solstice Dance would be blessed with snow this year.

Lunora chuckled softly and stood by her husband. "Sorry darling. We had to go."

Sora followed Ghost, wondering what she was. "And what are you, love?"

Hakaru looked to the fish in the tank and laughed some, kissing Kai on the lips. "Sorry. I'm blissfully taken." he said to the fish in the tank.

Mina sat with Damian at a nice table near some little songbirds who sang for the two.

Lute took a few steps into the ballroom, making sure to study where all the voices were coming from. As he proceeded in, he felt more confident with himself away from Apollo and continued to walk, easily dodging people. As his confidence rose, so did the three feathers that were attached to the mask. Seemed they raised up some to accentuate the peacock.

Lunora gave a shrug, ignoring many offers to dance before the band came. "I haven't seen him." she was just passing Anya, who she identified by scent. She tapped the faerie's shoulder. "Have you seen my lazy brother around?"

Yumi sighed, sitting at a table by herself near one of the snow leopards who was cuddling up to her at the moment. She pet the big cat absentmindedly, wondering how long this was going to last.

Sora nodded some and tugged at her cloak a little. "Did this go with it?"

Hakaru laughed also, watching the fish swim away. "I'll have to apologize later. After I have a wonderful time with my wife." he said, gently grabbing one of her hands.

[OOC:] Watch! Lute can dance! Just get those lazy band members in here and you'll see!

Lute strolled the floor until he felt eyes on him. He glanced around some, wondering who was watching him.

Lunora nodded some. "That would be so kind of you to drag his lazy butt down here."

Yumi looked up at a wolf-dressed boy who was talking to her. A dance? Well... It'd beat sitting here all night. "Um.. Alright."

Sora let Ghost lead him onto the floor, hearing the band. He then looked to the girl, wrapping his arms around her waist. "It hides you too much."

Hakaru smiled and got up, leading Kai to their own part of the dance floor.

Lute looked to the girl who was speaking to him. But it didn't feel right. Those weren't the eyes that he felt. He politely declined her offer and continued through the crowd, wondering who was still watching him.

Luke was asleep in his bed when he felt a presence. He glanced over to see Anya and gulped hard. "Um... I forgot? And... And I don't have a date?"

Yumi let herself be led to the dance floor, taking up her dance stance as she had been taught, placing a hand on his shoulder.

Sora nodded some, smiling. He leaned down and kissed her sweetly. "Yes really, my lovely little butterfly."

[OOC:] I could see Lute and Chloe just owning the dance floor, everyone stopping to watch them.

Lute looked to the voice and the tap. Those ere it. Those were the eyes he felt. He nodded at her offer, offering his hand to her so they could begin their dance as the song began to reach a fast paced dance.

Luke looked up at his sister, who giggled. Her darling brother had a nice suit that changed colors as he moved. Obviously a chameleon. His mask matched, it's shine also having that rainbowed effect. He just moved to where Jethrow sat and brooded with him.

Yumi shook her head softly, keeping in time with the wolf she danced with. "Only a few minutes. Wasn't planning on staying long. Dances... aren't really my thing."

Sora smiled and nodded, kissing her again. "Much better."

[OOC:] He needs one.

Lute fell in time with the music, keeping it up as the music built up its tempo. He also kept in time with his partner, making the dance all the more enchanting. As they danced, the feathers that hung from his belt, that insinuated a peacock's tail, swayed beautifully and just added to their grace.

Luke sighed and nodded. "Sorry about that... I pity you."

Yumi blushed a little at what he said. Thank goodness her mask hid it. "Well... I guuess I just want someone to talk to."

Sora looked to the peacock and lark as well as she led him off the floor. He was also curious on who that peacock was.
