The boy groaned softly, not wanting to wake, but he did anyways. He rolle over onto his back and glanced to where Yuke's voice had come from. "What work? I don't have classes today..." he mumbled, yawning some. He wasn't used to celebrating things. People, even his family, usually left him, metaphorically since he was already literally, in the dark.
Yumi watched the wizard work. "Is... there anything I can do to... help you?" she asked the boy, wondering if that would even out their debt.

Yuke put the glass of water into Lute's hand, knowing that the potion probably left a bad taste in his mouth (considering his own experience with Anya's potions) and Demetri chuckled. "You do realize there is a ball tonight and everyone is invited? Including yoU?" "Chloe would be rather disappointed if you didn't appear at some point in the evening."
Razz jumped, having forgotten that Yumi was there. He rubbed the back of his neck, successfully getting flour in his hair, and bit his lip, looking over the three cake batters he had going. "Sure... The icing has to be whipped by hand. Take one packet of cream cheese, one stick of butter, two teaspoons of vanilla, and one of cocoa and mix in a bowl please," he said, waving his hand and having more cream cheese and butter appear on the counter with the other ingredients. They'd need several bowls of icing...

Lute took the water and began to drink as they talked. Though what Yuke said made him do a spit-take, spraying water into the air in front of him. The boy coughed a little as he glanced to the two of them. "But there are so many students here. I doubt she'd notice if I came in or not." he said, wiping his mouth some.
Yumi nodded and got off the stool. She followed Razz's instructions and took all the required ingredients and began to whip up their icing.

Later that afternoon, all the cakes were finally done and Razz split up the icing, giving half to Yumi and taking half for himself to spread over the cakes.
Yuke and Demetri had finished torturing Lute, and he now looked like a respectable young gentleman. Or at least, he was dressed like one. Yuke wasn't sure if he was down for the plan anymore, but Demetri rolled his eyes and smacked his grandson on the back of the head to....clear his head.

[OOC:] What about a costume masquerade ball? And animals are the theme! I could see Lute actually wearing something more akin to a peacock based one. Peacocks' calls are rather pretty, but their tail obstructs their view, giving them poor eyesight. Fitting no?
After what felt like forever, Lute finally felt the two leave him alone. "What have you two done to me?"
Yumi worked diligently on icing the cakes to perfection while making the icing last over all the cakes they had to do.

[OOC:] OH That sounds cooooool Yuke left Demetri, heading towards his own room. He opened the door, stepping inside. "Natalia?" he asked, looking for his wife.
Demetri, on the other hand, searched the castle for his daughter, finally finding her in the kitchen icing cakes. He raised his eyebrow, then shook his head. "Yumi, your mother's going to want you to get cleaned up for tonight."

Yumi rolled her eyes some, groaning. "But Daaaad! I don't want to go! I've told you this for a couple days now." she said, resuming ehr icing work.
Natalia came to Yuke, kissing his cheek. She was still in regular clothes for right now.

"You don't get much of a choice in this, kiddo," the wizard told her, shaking his head. "Now go, before I get mad or your mother loses patience. We don't want to unleash that onto this castle, now do we?"
Yuke wrapped an arm around Natalia. "Lute's all dressed up. He'll probably despise us once he can see again... Ah well."

Yumi groaned again, still having a lot more work to do. But she had no choice. She put down her icing bag and sulked out of the room, leaving Razz to finish by himself.

Demetri waved his hand, easily icing the remaining cakes once Yumi was gone. "you, come." he ordered, pointing at Razz. Razz frowned and looked around for an excuse not to follow the teacher, but found none and reluctantly followed him.
Yuke rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Weeeell, maybe. Chloe's going as some sort of bird, so it kinda sorta fits..."

Natalia looked to Yuke suspiciously. "Are you and your grandfather playing matchmakers again?" she said scoldingly.
Yumi sighed, having gotten cleaned up, and was now letting her mother dress her for the party. How she hated this. It was, as tradition in the family, kimono style, but much less baggy than Yuke's and Sora's had been when they had been forced into robes. The top robe was a brilliant white with black rosettes, just like a snow leopard. She liked them so she wasn't totally against this thing. Once her robes had been fitted and ready, she held the ivory mask in her hand that sported more spots and a set of whiskers. Along with an attached pair of fuzzy ears. It only covered her eyes and the bridge of her nose, leaving the rest of ehr face bare. Man... This was going to be embarrassing.

[OOC:] I felt the need to involve all the characters. And sorry about Ghost; I just don't think that was going anywhere for now... (You'll see if you read that part, lol) Yuke raised his eyebrow at her. "And you don't think Chloe and Lute make a good couple?"
Demetri soon had Razz dressed up in a black tux (he'd considered the same robes his daughter would be wearing, but decided against it) with a black shirt and tie. Everything was black except the mask he forced the boy to wear, which was white with black wolf details, including the nose and ears. It left his mouth free, but most of his nose and the rest of his face were covered. The party would be starting soon, so the wizard released the poor boy, already knowing exactly which girl he'd be dancing with that night. He returned to his own room, ready for whatever Lunora would force him to wear.
Chloe had come to her room to find clothes already laid out for her. She picked up the kimono-style robes and slipped into them. They were gray, white, and yellow: the colors of a lark. Her mask had a yellow stripe down the forehead and nose, but the rest was white with a black border. She left her hair down her back, the blond curls standing out from her darker robe.
Anya straightened Searan's mask with a laugh. He was, naturally, wearing a dragon's mask, and wore a black suit that she'd forced him into. He was glaring at her all the while, and she just shook her head. She was wearing a black and purple dress, her mask in the shape of a butterfly and made of black and purple velvet. Her outfit was, in fact, very similar to Ghost's. She'd forced, as she had once upon a time, the other woman into a black and blue version, along with the mask. The outfit had been made a year ago, but it had still fit Ghost because of an unfortunate miscarriage.
Ghost was picking at the dress while glaring at it, waiting for Sora to appear, as well. If she had to be tortured, by god so did he.
Jethrow had the feeling he wouldn't be escaping from all the festivities. And he was right. As soon as Anya was done with Searan, she tracked down the wizard and dressed him up as well, giving him a mask that, frankly, annoyed him. He'd put up with the white tux and all. "I will not be wearing a rabbit mask!" he said, struggling as Anya tried to fix the fuzzy white mask with its rabbit ears and pink nose onto his face.
Kai combed her fingers through the ends of her red hair, a small smile on her face as she awaited seeing Hakaru in his get-up. She had a green, blue, and pink dress on that looked like it was glittering. It had been somebody's idea to dress as a mermaid, and she'd thought it fittingly humorous. Her mask resembled seaweed, and she had two starfish holding her hair back from her face.
Damian came out of the closet, nearly tripping on his robes as he pouted at Mina. "Do we really have to go?" he asked, sounding like a child. He wore plain black robes and a black mask, his own black ears and tail his excuse that it was a costume.

Natalia rolled her eyes and told Yuke to get dressed. She got into her own costume which was a fuzzy little lamb costume, a black mask covering her face. It even had two fuzzy little ears on the side, perfecting it.
Lunora watched as her husband tortured the poor kitchen boy as she got into her own. Demetri had asked her about wearing skins and furs before. So she decided to surprise him. Her dress was fashioned out of python hide, the dress hugging her figure nicely. She braided her hair and fastened it up into a curled bun that fit the snake theme. What Demetri was going to be was up to him, but he was going. She slipped on her own mask which held the same pattern.
Lute was still trying to get a feel for his costume and mask. His suit were that lovely, shimmering azure blue, reminiscent of a peacock's body. The gold belt around his waist secured a small veil of peacock feathers that hung behind him, flowing perfectly to look like a peacock with his tail folded. His mask was a pearly white with three long feathers slicked back so they would rest on the wearer's head, but still add to the look.
Sora had walked in and saw Ghost with a dress. He knew what that meant. A party of some sort. And he was going to try and make a break for it.
Hakaru had dressed up as an arapaima. His suit was made from dark olive scales, all the cuffs tipped in a vibrant red. Though his mask was simple and plain, matching his suit, he had done a fish, just for his love.
Mina giggled softly and nodded some. "Of course we have to go. Everyone else is going." she said, fluffing out her large wings. Her dress was made of feathers as well, her having dressed up as an owl. And she pulled it off quite well. Her mask was simple, covered in white feathers to match the pattern on her dress that matched a Great Horned Owl.

Yuke sighed and pulled on his own costume. He'd chosen to go with a suit, rather than robes. He hadn't enjoyed that aspect of the ball where he'd met Natalia. He'd dressed as a lion, since Natalia was a lamb. He thought it was fitting, all things considered. HIs mask was orange and yellow, fitted with a somewhat lion's mane. His suit was tan and orange, and he had a tail, though he was considering getting rid of it...
Demetri was dressing as a hunting dog. Regardless of what Lunora dressed as, she would always be a fox. He could at least pretend that he was the hunter in their relationship, though who would believe that? His robes were black with a brown pattern on them, and his mask had a sleek sense to it, colored the same black and brown.
Chloe adjusted her robes one last time before heading down to the party, which was already beginning to fill up with people. She wondered if she'd be able to find Lute, and she looked nervously around at all the people in masks. She used to think masks and costumes did nothing for people hiding their identities.
Ghost grabbed Sora's arm and raised her eyebrow. "If I'm going, you're going. Don't even think about trying to run off." She raised her eyebrow at him and tucked some hair behind his ear. "It's only for a little bit. Your parents dropped off a costume for you, anyways."
Kai turned around and raised her eyebrow, smiling. "You look like you should be swimming in water," she said jokingly.
Damian sighed sadly and put his hands on Mina's waist. "What if I make you an offer involving me, you, and a removal of a few articles of feathery clothing?"

Natalia smiled and stroked Yuke's mask's mane softly. "You look good as a lion, hun." she said, her own costume having a little fuzzy tail to let Yuke not feel so awkward about his having one.
Lunora soon came out to Demetri and smiled, leaning on the doorway, rather attractively. Her dress almost clung to those curse Demetri had such a hard time resisting. "Hey there, hound dog."
Lute sighed some, feeling Apollo nuzzle under one of his hands. He slipped the mask on and let the dog lead him to the ballroom, but he planned on taking his sweet time getting there.
[OOC:] There's a reason for that. He'll get a grand entrance!
Sora whined some and looked up at Ghost. "And what have they possibly brought to torture me with?"
Hakaru laughed softly and kissed her cheek. "I did it for you love."
Mina smiled, tapping a finger on his nose. "After the party, my dear. After. Then you can remove to your heart's content."
