"N-nessa?" Ari squeaked, staring wide-eyed at her friend. The people nearest to her were still completely silent. It was unnerving. Ari crawled on her hands and knees to her friend, and looked at her. No seizure like movements... no nothing. It was like she wasn't even mentally there. "Vanessa!" Ari whimpered, checking for a pulse. Still, Nessa's eyes were wide and vacant. "... help... Help!" Ari cried out.

Aphrodite was by Ari and Akira in an instant. She looked at the limp Prophetess, having never seen anything quite like that in her long years. She couldn't feel Vanessa Block's aura, almost as if her spirit were elsewhere. "Gods and Goddesses of Olympus..." she murmured, scooping the comatose girl into her arms, "... she needs to get back to the school."

Aurora froze, suddenly, and stared. She didn't know what was happening, but she could feel something in the air--was a soul being lost? She had been feeling these sensations for... a while now. She knew why, too; when a soul, lost and bodiless, but not yet among the dead, was wandering, a part of her being instinctively tried to house this soul.

It was part of her make-up, after all. Her mother had been like that, and it had nearly killed her; for years, her mother had housed three souls in addition to her own, and the strain on her body weakened her to the brink of death. It was nothing short of a miracle that her mother was still alive.

Aurora became even more quiet than usual, drawing into herself even as she stood, forcing Altan to jump onto the floor. The sphinx was not happy... but he didn't blame Aurora. She was beginning to realize that there was something she needed to get away from--and fast.

Ares hadn't said anything, simply watching cooly. He didn't show any emotions but for his normal fierceness and a sprinkling of... something else, something unidentifiable. When Vanessa fell, though, he stepped forward. He was glad to have a distraction, something else to concentrate on. He was so sick of all this--Evermore just thrived on drama, and, as a guy, drama frustrated him.

Ares scowled. Why did he have to take the weak mortal to an infirmary to 'make her better'? But... Well, at the same time, he didn't have a quarrel with this particular mortal, and she was the friend of Ari (who he actually could rather get along with), so he gave in. "I'll take the girl," he grumbled. He glanced at Evermore, briefly, as she ran, suddenly. Conflicting emotions ran amock on his face--should he run after her? Or should he just take what's-her-face to the nurse?

Ares didn't have to decide, it turned out. Aurora appeared. "Go after her," Aurora said, though her voice was quiet. "Get her. I will take Vanessa." She took the American girl from Aphrodite's arms, quietly, despite that she was smaller. Altan immediately teleported Aurora and Vanessa to the infirmary, and to Meimei.

Ares just stared for a moment at the spot where that weird girl had been, then he turned and headed out the door and found Evermore. He didn't say anything. What could he say, after all? A sharp tongue would not be fitting, and even Ares had enough sense in him to realize this.
