Rolant EstoqueurLV. 4 Experience: 92/250 Hp: 44/44 Cp: 48/48 MHp: 44/44 Rolant began to hum a little tune he had learned growing up as he began to move his fingers into position. "I close my eyes, tell me why must we suffer" The lyrics flowed from Rolants lips in a not so much beautiful nature but not completely out of tune. As he hummed the next part of the song his fingers refused to do their intended function. "Well, i wont be doing that again" Rolant chuckled as apparently his humming was bad luck.At this point it was becoming frustratingly obvious that he wouldn't finish this challenge any time soon. Even though the young Estoqueur was pulling his hair out on the inside his families conflicting physical appearance didn't betray that fact. Rolant continued to hum his song, even though it was not particularly in his favor to do so.Hard Mode Cat's Cradle Everyone should know this classic game played with a piece of string. Rolant EstoqueurLV. 4 Experience: 92/250 Hp: 44/44 Cp: 48/48 MHp: 44/44 Rolant hummed his song as he focused on the task at hand letting out a few lyrical verses here and there. "To all of my children whom life flows abundant" Rolant paused "To all of my children whom death has passed his judgment." Rolant finished the verse as his fingers skillfully snared the string and quickly tightened it,removing the slack. "Walk free, Walk free, believe" Rolant began again as he grinned towards the string that laced his finger tips. The song did seem to calm him as he performed this mundane but entirely aggravating task. Would it be totally assinine to beleive that it was actually helping? probably. Would he stop doing it? Nah. Besides, he would need all the calm in the world to finish this and he wasn't about to abandon that solace now. Rolant EstoqueurLV. 4 Experience: 92/250 Hp: 44/44 Cp: 48/48 MHp: 44/44 Rolant stopped humming as he attempted to move his fingers but they only twitched a bit to his commands."Thats odd" Rolant thought as he shrugged off the odd sudden refusal to do anything by his fingers. "Maybe thats just a fluke as well?" Rolant asked himself as he quietly hummed his song again he fidgeted with his fingers again but no movement came from them and not even a minor response escaped from them as to even suggest they had received the messages. "Odd" Rolant thought again as he continued to hum. Cat's Cradle Everyone should know this classic game played with a piece of string. You have to grab the X's to make the next cradle. Rolant EstoqueurLV. 4 Experience: 92/250 Hp: 44/44 Cp: 48/48 MHp: 44/44 Rolant noticed yet again that his extremities wherent quite cooperating with him. This could've been quite a serious conundrum if he where out in the field and suddenly froze up like this. Maybe it was more than just some random fluke? "My life is a riddle,to bear rapture and sorrow" An ominous voice seemed to sing from an unknown vantage point."Eh?" Rolant said as the eery voice sang the line from the song he was humming."In one fleeting moment, from the land doth life flow" The eerie voice sounded seemingly closer now but still from an unknown source."Odd" Rolant thought as the voice had now gotten closer but no one to put the eerie sounding vocals to had shown up. "Might be the wind" Rolant thought again as he returned to the training he was attempting to finish. Cat's Cradle Everyone should know this classic game played with a piece of string. Rolant EstoqueurLV. 4 Experience: 92/250 Hp: 44/44 Cp: 48/48 MHp: 44/44 Rolant had muddled around to long with the strange voice from whomever it may be coming from. This training is all that should be on Rolants mind. Yet, the strangely familiar voice haunted him somehow. Either way, This would have to come first. The creepy voice would have to come later. As Rolant shrugged off that idea he fumbled with his fingers and grasped the strings with his fingertips tightening the slack as he had done before. Hopefully this training would end soon. "Shining is the lands light of justice" The eerie voice began again, this time a lot closer than one could stand if a hidden and unknown voice was singing your favorite song. Rolant EstoqueurLV. 4 Experience: 92/250 Hp: 44/44 Cp: 48/48 MHp: 44/44 Rolant simply hummed to the now closer than ever eerie voices melody as it in turn hummed along with him. The odd harmony of his unknown visitor and his voice seemed to distract the young Estoqueur as his fingers fumbled to grab at the strings."Seems someone is having trouble there, why dont you let me do that for you?" The eerie voice seemed to call to Rolant as it began to hum the tune Rolant had been humming."No thanks, i'd much rather do this by myself." Rolant mused as the voice asked its question "Besides why would i give my work over to someone or something i havent even seen before or even know its name"Rolant joked as he still fumbled with the strings again"Fine then, but i dont have a name." The voice pondered over his refusal and then seemed to grow impatient for no obvious reason "You should name me." The voice seemed to command "Name me" it repeated and seemed to drone on.Cat's Cradle Everyone should know this classic game played with a piece of string. Rolant EstoqueurLV. 4 Experience: 92/250 Hp: 44/44 Cp: 48/48 MHp: 44/44 Rolant seemed to hum away the eerie voices commands as they grew louder and louder he suddenly was doing better with his training. As the cries became more frantic so did Rolants movements. He slipped the string over his finger just as the cries became an all out screaming "Enough!" Rolant cried out almost dropping the string "Why do you want me to put a name on you so badly!?" He seemed to say annoyed as the invisible voice became silent"Simple,I can't help you if you dont name me!" The voice answered in a chilling joyful manner."Name me!" It demanded again this time in a serious ominous tone "We can rule the world together!" It stated coldly and with a maniacal aspect to its tone."If you want a name so badly just make up your own" Rolant dismissively responded to the voice as he returned his focus to his training.Though, it was tempting with the idea of world domination."I Cant name myself, then it wouldn't have any meaning...would it?" "You know, I might name you if you would leave me alone." Rolant joked but the eerie voice seemed annoyed with the response"Fine then, go about living your life without help" The voice stated annoyed as it suddenly silenced as if it dissapeared from the area and returned to the unknown void where it had come from."Whatever that was" Rolant thought as he returned to the task at hand "I'm never going to finish this" Rolant thought out loud as he pondered on the situation that had just occurred. However, his thoughts where muddled as his thoughts would ever so slightly return to the conversation that had just happened with the mysterious voice. This line of thinking seriously enfeebled his concentration on the training at hand. He fumbled at the strings lost in thought but making no attempts at successfully performing the operation. Who was that person to ask if he needed help?Who was that person that knew a tune only he and a few others knew? Who was that? The question echoed and as the question reverberated in his mind his fingers would react in false attempts at diverting his attention to the training.Cat's Cradle Everyone should know this classic game played with a piece of string. Toshi and Lunar walked into the Training Grounds and looked around for anyone else. Toshi spotted a person messing with some string. He watched over the person's shoulder and absorbed what he could learn of it. He smiled and went to the board and looked at the description of what the other boy was doing. It seemed interesting to Toshi so he decided to give it a go. He snagged some string and set up at a station near the other boy. He watched and tried to imitate what the he had seen the boy do before as well as what he had learned from the description. He tried to grab the strings where there was an "X" but it fumbled through his fingers he looked and Luna and knew what she was thinking. 'Hehe. Silly boy can't even get a string to do as he wants.' Toshi sighed and smirked at Luna.
He watched her a moment before saying "Let's see you do better cat...." He smiled teasingly at her knowing she couldn't. He laughed as he saw Luna get up and walk away from him. He turned around and went back to trying to nail this but he knew Luna's eyes were trained onto what he was doing. He was so nervous that when he grabbed the "X" he pulled it off the pegs he set it on to do it. He sighed and shook his head as he tried to think of more ways to do it. He looked up at the boy near him. He tried to gauge just how well he was doing. He knew that his luck was pretty back but maybe the other boy was having just as much trouble as he was.
He smiled and tried to focus on his work. Luna slowly pranced up behind Toshi and jumped onto his shoulders for a better place to see more clearly. He smiled as he tried to advert his attention onto the complex weaving he was trying to make. He grabbed one of the intersections and went to grab the other. He had both in his fingers and he tried to follow through. He was more clumsy than he thought for the strings slipped out between his fingers and messed the whole thing up once more. He smiled and suppressed a groan. His frustrations were slowly getting the best of him. He took a deep breath to relax himself. "It's only string..." He said as he looked at the mess he had made once more due to his fumbling fingers and his lack of grace.
Luna looked at him and they both knew what was needed. Toshi nodded at Luna and scratched her head. "I know Luna... I need to get better so I don't hold back the team so much." He quickly set up the string on the pegs like before and nodded to himself once more with a smile on his face. He felt Luna's claws on the edge of his skin ready to stab in if he messed up. He grabbed each one of the intersections and twisted it under the other strings very slowly not to mess it up. He was very conscience of Luna's claws slowly digging into him due to the tension they both felt. He smiled as he continued and slowly lifted the string from the pegs and looked at what he had in his hand. "Guess this is the cat's cradle. Doesn't look like you could fit in it huh Luna? Hahaha" He scratched lightly behind Luna's ears with one hand.
He awkwardly tried to set up the string once more but one handed due to the fact that he was trying to calm down a beast whose nails slowly dug into him every time he either moved or messed up slightly. Once he finished fixing the sting back to normal, on the pegs, he lowered Luna onto the table where the pegs where set up so he didn't get stabbed repeatedly. He wondered how he should approach it. He couldn't remember the exact way he did it last time so he just tried to grab the intersection from underneath while with the other one he tried to pull it from above. Luna knew we was messing up and instead of meowing to tell him she just bite his hand instead. Toshi winced from the pain as he pulled the string with him from the pegs. He looked down at the mess of string and sighed. "You could have found a better way to tell me it was wrong.... " He grumbled to himself.
He sighed as he slowly untangled the mess that Luna had help caused. He shook his head as he looked at her but couldn't help but smile. Slowly he set up the string on the pegs like it was before. He took a sigh of relief with the smile still stuck on his face. He slowly looked at Luna as he reached for the strings, cautious of what she might do this time if he were to mess up once more. He grabbed the intersections and slowly started to pull them, Luna knew he was already doing it wrong but she continued to watch him. Toshi watched Luna as he slowly continued. When he felt safe to look away from her as he continue to pull the strings and watch what he was doing more fully. He suddenly felt a sharp pain in his arm that made him jump and mess up the string. He looked at Luna who was licking her paws as if nothing happened.
He couldn't help but smile at how adorable she was, albeit an evil fur ball of terror. He laughed at the thought and was grateful she didn't know how to read minds. He looked at her and cringed. The way her eyes were set made him think different. He quickly set up the string on the pegs once more and tried not to laugh. He smiled as he looked at Luna and pulled out the fish bento he had made for her. "Go ahead and eat. I'll eat once I'm done training." She quickly began to nibble on the fish as he focused on how he would be able to do it properly. He grabbed each of the intersections and it slowly all clicked into place. He pulled them up and around the sides and through once again. He smiled and he lifted it off the pegs and made the cat's cradle.
Toshi studied the string to try and memorize exactly what he had to do. He thought he had it but Luna's stares were making him uncomfortable. He tried not to focus on her as he slowly started to set up the sting in the right position on the pegs. He nodded once he had finished and placed the string in the proper way they needed to be set. He took a deep breath as his fingers moved slowly but confidently. He only looked over to Luna a few times to make sure she wasn't going to attack him. Luna licked her paw and made a feline smirk. 'Looks like he actually got it this time.' She thought to herself as she watched him. He slowly held the intersections and twisted them into the air and then around the sides. He followed up with the rest of the movements needed to make the cradle and smiled as he pulled it from the pegs with a completed work of the cat's cradle once again.
He studied the pattern more and smiled. He wondered for a moment if baby Luna could have possibly fit into the cat's cradle he had made. He glanced quickly at Luna from the corner of his eye and saw her hair slowly stand on end... He was in trouble but he smiled and laughed. They had really gotten to know each other recently. He continued to set up the string on the pegs and looked at Luna. "Only kidding Luna." He said hoping that would help calm her down. He wasn't so sure of it but he knew he had to say something or he'd be dead for sure once he was too tired to fight her off of him. He was so worried about trying to please Luna he didn't even notice that when he grabbed the intersections that he had grabbed them wrong. So when he went to lift it from the pegs it came out as a tangled mess. He sighed and looked at Luna. "I know I know... Try better. I got it..."
He slowly started to untangle the mass of string he had messed up. "I blame you for all your attacks for every time I messed up... I can't focus properly because of you... " Luna meowed and he knew exactly what they meant. 'It's just soft bites.' Toshi sighed and thought to himself. 'They may be gentle to her but they can draw a little bit of blood on me.' He smiled as he finally finished the mass of tangles into a circular ring of one string. He set it up on the pegs like he needed to. The string was slowly becoming one of his least favorite things in the world. His smile grew as he continued to grabed the intersections and follow through. He eventually lifted the string up and off the pegs and showed that he had indeed finished another cat's cradle. He smirked at Luna as an 'I told you so' smirk.

Toshi ruffled Luna's fur on the back of her neck and the top of her head. He laughed at the irritated growl she released. He scratched under her chin as he started to set up the string one handed. He took a deep breath and he watched how he was setting up the string to make sure it was completely in place the way he needed it to be. He didn't want to stop giving Luna attention at the moment for fear she might attack once he stopped unless she actually saw that his hands were busy, Once he finished setting up the string he smiled and quickly went into the work with his fingers and the string. He was slowly becoming better and better at it he thought to himself. His fingers moved faster than they usually did. He took a deep breath as he pulled the strings off the pegs and smiled happily as he revealed the cat's cradle to Luna.
Luna's tail swished from side to side not particularly interesting in what he was doing. If she wasn't going to be able to play with it she just forced it out of her head. Toshi knew what she was trying to do and couldn't help but smile even more at his feline companion. He let the design he had made crumble in his fingers as he slowly pulled them out to unravel it back to its circle. He took a deep breath and started to set up the string on the pegs once more. He smiled as he started to notice he was getting better at it. He grabbed the intersections and his fingers moved as if by string to the places he needed to go to with the pinched string. He watched as it all happened as his fingers slowly lifted the string from the pegs once more and made another cat's cradle. This time he resigned himself from showing it to Luna, though in his head he was silently laughing.
He looked down at the string in his fingers and then back to Luna with a smile on his face. He really should show her but he really didn't need to give her any more reasons to attack him. He took a deep breath and started to undo the string and slowly work it back onto the pegs once he had untangled it. It was slowly getting easier and easier for him. He did every thing like he usually did. He worked on it by first pinching the intersections and slowly taking it through its trip the rest of the way it needed to be to become a cat's cradle. He slipped his finger a few times but was able to quickly grab it before it messed up everything else. He watched as he nearly let a few slip through his fingers again, but luckily he didn't. he was able to create the cat's cradle again.
He held it in front of him and smiled, slowly twisting it this way and the next to see what weird patterns he could make. He noticed Luna eye him so he sighed with a smile on his face and went back to stringing the pegs for the next try. He could already feel the string making his fingers more nimble and adept. He realized that before he was kind of klutzy in comparison. He grabbed the strings at the intersections and flowed through the moves that were needed with relative ease. He lifted the string up slowly from the pegs as he did so he looked at Luna with a smirk, but her attention was on a butterfly that was drifting across the open air around them. Toshi had an urge to make a sudden gust of wind to push the butterfly further away but like before, he didn't want to get bit again.
He held the string in his hand and smiled more. It was a symbol of him slowly getting better. He had goosebumps when he thought about it like that. He took a deep breath and sadly started to break the string's complex design into a single ring again. He worked the string back onto the posts as he smiled again as always. He couldn't help but smiling when the air is so close at hand. He felt the wind brush across him and sighed contently. He shook his head clear and started to get back to the task at hand. He slowly started to tweak with the strings, grabbing here and pulling there. He eventually got it and pulled the strings free of the pegs and showed the finished piece. It was the cat's cradle. It had taken a little longer than before but he did it nonetheless just as well as the other ones.
He twisted his hands to get better angles of the cradle. He smiled as he nodded, pulling the string free of his fingers and making it into a circle once more. He worked the string back onto the pegs and smiled, lightly petting Luna as he thought about how to do it again without fail. Despite how easy it looked Toshi knew better after trying it. He slowly grabbed the string and started to go through the motions of the Cat's Cradle. He smiled as his mind drifted as he continued to fiddle with the string. He lifted the string from the pegs and looked at his work. He sighed audibly as his fingers held a contorted mess of string. "Guess I didn't do it right this time huh girl?"
He took a deep sigh as he untangled his fingers from the tangled mass of string. He slowly picked the mass apart until it was a single line once more. He smiled as he put the string on the pegs and slowly started to work it into the form he needed to start it to begin with. He smiled slowly as he nodded. "We're going to get it this time girl." He scratched lightly behind Luna's ears before he started to work the string into a cats cradle. His fingers twisted and turned in and around other bits of string as he frowned in concentration. He lifted his fingers with the string entwined in between them and shouted "AH HA!" He looked at the string before hanging his head for a moment. "Another fail Luna." Luna meow'd encouragingly at Toshi not to give up.
He smiled once again at his feline companion, not regretting his decision for a single moment since they were together. He slowly pried his fingers out of the grips of the strings and started to rework it back into its usual shape. He nodded at Luna as she slowly worked her way up his arm and onto his shoulder for a change of view. He quickly placed the string back in the position it needed to be in before smiling. He took his time to make sure the string was placed right before he started to pull the strings. He grew more and more confident as he went through the motion with the string remembering the times he did it before and didn't mess up. He looked proudly at Luna as he showed her the Cat's Cradle. Luna meow'd happily and Toshi smiled as he placed the string back on the hooks for the next person to try it. He smiled as he walked out of the training yard with Luna on his shoulder.
