...also, personally I would stray from the one-winged angel. That's really much more Sephiroth's thing then your dude's. but then again, I'm just really into original design.

and yeah I was lookin around for it, but its hard to come by one I'm lookin for. Perhaps you like to help me out here? Cobra? As I said I couldnt find one that I'm lookin for to match. I mean I know Jade used Lara from Tomb Raider. So.....yeah....suggestions people?
btw...im not changing the image at the top....it looks awesome XD

hey Tenshi How do you find out what Japaneses words mean. With out asking a person that knows Japaneses? Like a website that spells it out like this and not using the symbols. Lol I feel stupid

...but yeah, this is why I always find the picture first, then develop the character. That way, I never have to search for concept art. That is at least what I try to do.

personally, I like ti better, becasue the backdrop is darkness, and it looks MORE like its an original character then the previous One-winged angel picture.
(I would also avoid the "Angel" motif ...I think it's overplayed, but if your character is somewhat delusionally powerful [a.k.a. They are egotistical and deify themselves to the point of referring to themselves as the Angel of Sin] ...then it could work in terms of character definition.)

Clearly you and I have different definitions of cool, but to each his own. I've got nothing better then that, but that's not to say it doesn't exist. I just think the one-winged angel thing, with your character floating in the picture is ultra-cliche. I'm not trying to down it, I'm just being honest.
I think you need to accentuate your darkness quality over what looks cool. I think it helps to find a picture that does that for the reader. I personally have a very hard time imagining what Selene's character looks like, even though the facial feature is accurate, because of the guns and her style of clothing. I think I've settled on an Akatsuki form of the new Mizukage, at least, that's what I see in my head as I read what jade writes.
I think it's critical that an image be solidly planted in someones mind, which is why I'm a firm believer of your picture depicting your character's personality. Finding a non-winged picture of Sephiroth on all black, might take a bit of photoshopping though. there is definitely enough source material out there though...
