That's a little bit about it, but not the majority of the problem. It's like ending a word with 'taichou' when you should just say captain, saying 'Bounto' instead of 'Bount.' It's just the larger things that end up being too common get on my nerves.
The exceptions are names and certain endings. Names are self explanatory. Endings -chan, -sama, -senpai, are ok as there really isn't a good English translation. -san is borderline since it means Mr./Mrs.
There's more, but I don't have my bat so I can't continue.

@Dreamer: Dun get all worked up~! -glomps and clings- It's ok if you use 'hai' and 'ne'. Just means you're culturally aware. =D

I use "-taicho" and "Bounto," because that's what I'm used to calling them, since I watch the Japanese dub. Plus, I like saying "-taicho" and "-fukutaicho."
Plus, if I say Captain, it makes me think of pirates... >_>
Are those a prblem, or no? I was a little confused.

@Koga - No, but I took four years in high school and I know how to translate stuff correctly. Right now, though, it just irked me more than normal.
@Dreamer - "Bounto" is the Romaji, the phonetics for how it is written.
ボウント - If you can see that. The reason the 'o' is there is because they don't have a sound that is just a 't'.
'-taichou' and '-fukutaichou' are a no go as they literally translate to Captain and "Assistant commander", aka Vice Captain.

I don't want to sweat out my perm... and the air-conditioning system where my comp is... broke. =_=

Aku you are now my new best friend. I didn't think anyone else took Japanese in Highschool but me. My teacher was an idiot but it was an online class and I taught myself everything and had to call a couple of professors during their classes to ask them how to pronounce stuff. Then I was invited to sit in on classes last year and I got out of boring school and sat in on a college class. Woots!
