Akira made his way form the Arena through the wilderness towards the bar.

Kura lifted his hand slowly. "Those are the rules of engagement Jay. I do not strike one who does not wish to fight." Kura shook his head slowly. "I'm sorry...you'll never see me again." Kura's golden eyes shimmered slightly and then he uttered one word. "Forget" Suddenly the hole would seem deeper and in his mind instead. As if something he just been closed off and couldn't be reopened.

A strange man now stood on the grounds, somehow familiar, but unknown to the one about to leave the field. A man with golden eyes looking at the sky.

The man looked at Jay for a long time. He offered a soft smile. "Thank you, but I must decline. I shall unfortunately be taking my leave tonight. Death has found my number, and I don't wish to burden those here with it. I do graciously thank you though Jay-dono. It was a pleasure I'm sure..." Kura bowed his head slightly and then beginning to walk away from the rock.

The man looks at Kura and nods a bit. "I get that comment a great deal of the time." He then looks back in front of him. "Yes, death. See...I seem to have lost the trust that I had before with a very very good friend. And, when no one trusts you any longer, you no longer have friends. I've discovered, that without friends, there isn't much worth to living. No one cares for your existence, and etc."

The man looked at Jay for a long time and smiled softly. "I've been called many things...Soyokaze will do though..." As a phoenix Kura couldn't lie, and he wasn't...he had at one time been called Soyokaze because of his wind capabilities. He looked back in front and then at the sky. "Have you ever heard light die?" At that moment, unseeable by Jay, Kura was moving, faster than sight or sound, back to his place for less than a second and then out again. He was starting and stopping so fast, he began sweating and breathing hard. His hand moving to his heart, as it pounded furiously, he wouldn't die right when it burst. His blood woulc keep him alive, and try to heal him, but with no nexus...he would die...

Then, Jay would feel it, only subtly, but for moments there wasn't anything there, and then something back. He was moving, faster than Jay could see. Kura looked at Jay and smiled. You know something...I don't think I can go without leaving it all behind. So to you I reopen your mind..." Kura put his hand on Jays head. In that instant, it all came rushing back, who this man was, then new thoughts and ideas came into his head. The style of fighting he used, and the even deeper rabbit hole, a inkling of how to control gravity. In those few moments Kura had just taught Jay everything he knew. Except moving so fast, Jay could never do that, and he didn't teach him anything beyond his own gravity. He couldn't control another person's gravity, or the Earth's gravity. Only his own in relation to the Earth...

And at that moment, Kura fell to the ground, his hands holding his heart. It could be heard as he breathed deeply. "s**t."

Kura opend his quickly fading golden eyes. He laughed, with a cough of blood added in. "Don't be sad Jay...You didn't trust me...I've been down that road far too many times to see it again. You know, you were one of the few people who cared for me...but I wished you had believed me. Listen Jay, I can't teach you more. Only to remember to be humble unto yourself, and give respect to all...after all, you'll be strong only by staying weak." He again hacked up some blood. He then laughed softly. "This is no regrets Jay. I lived my life, as horrible as it was and could have been...I lived it and am happy with it. I did nothing wrong, except once, but was corrected." Kura's eyes looked to Jay, utterly white now.

"I have no heart Jay, there is no help for me...I'm just going to die, and then burn, but you will carry on my knowledge, and must master it. You will reach enlightenment and gain more than I did. It's getting so dark...Jay...you failed to achieve the favor I asked you, so instead of killing me, you must do this, in addition to taking care of Pale...you must erase her memory of me. I must cease to exist in her mind. Please, I ask you to take Kura from all she knows. As in she never met me, never spent time with me, never spoke with me...it isn't like she learned anything from me...or that she loved me." Kura looked up at Jay, almost reaching up. "Look Jay...the stars...aren't they beautiful tonight...so...pretty..." He was slowly trailing off, his blood beginning to stop trying to regenerate his heart. The great Kurayami...was dying.
