He bowed to them both. "I thank you then, for allowing me to host you." He held an arm out to the library. "You may stay for as long as you wish, but I will retire. There will be someone outside to escort you to the front foyer if you need it." He looked to Eliot, "Eliot my dear, I wish to talk with you alter, and what you know of Rawl."
He tipped his head one more time, "Gentalmen. Lady." and he turned around and headed off to his own rooms.
Moonstone growled. "I don't 'think,' I know. And no, it was more painful then just finding an empty whole." He glared at his brother. "Happy?" Gees. Onyx acted like the whole damn thing didn't matter. Steal his emotions, then see how he felt about it.

Malik lead Kieran out, and to Nightmare and Serino. he said nothing, but got up on Nightmare, and rode off back home. he had much to consider, and right now he was not going to let one of those new slaves roam without having a more potent method of dealing with them. protection of his home and his fiance were paramount in his mind.
Onyx smirked lightly, but said nothign else.
"You shuld have said something while she was here. She coudl have helped you."

Okay her two cents. "Take it from someone who knows Moonstone. Hiding things, especially things about yourself, can only end up hurting you in the end." Truth to that, she indeed did know. Sitting there on the stairs, her nails scratched at the spot between Onyx's ears again out of self distraction. Well...this was an awkward quiet moment.
Serino with Kieran merely trailed behind Nightmare. Funny, how trips home always seemed shorter than trips abroad. Soon enough the duo of horses and elves came up the slope to the fortress, Kieran dismounting and Serino heading off to the stables. Oh well, might as well let Nightmare have her way right? Kieran meanwhile pulled out his journal, opening it as if it never had a seal on it in the first place, scanning through what he wrote.

Moonstone folded his arms, glared at the two of them. "I don't want Mother to know. She's had enough stress." He sighed, hung his head slightly. "Then I wish it would hurt. It would be better than feeling nothing at all." He turned tail on the group and continued his walk, moving outside, not oven registering the elves prescense, and somehwo made it into the stables. There he climbed into the hayloft and threw himself into the hay, burrowing down and curling up. He hopped sleep would take him, and then he wouldn't have to deal with this.

Malik walked inside with a purpose. he wore a hard expression, and once in he was inside his home he moved right to Piper and Onyx.
"The new slaves, all twenty, I want put on details down in the breaker rooms and lower areas. they are not to come near others if it can be avoided. Onyx..you have permission to kill if need be fi you see them doing anything out of the ordianry, and that goes for you Piper. Apparently these slaves are raised and grown by teh same Lich that once held the oracle captive."

Oh joy...he was home and in business mode. Though her only response to him was the raise of an eyebrow at his little voicings of slaves and orders. Her kill somebody...good chance at that...seh couldn't stand anything remotely harmful right now. In fact even her nails were on the rather short side now. A look down to Onyx, still scratching at hsi fur as he more or less lounged there. What no joke on that? Malik certinally ment business, didn't he? Again...joy. "I take it then your little shipment was given to you will ill intent." Piper blinked up at him and sighed, playing with a few jet black feathers a moment. "We just can't climb up out of this ever deeping hole, can we?"
"And they're apparently soulless." Kieran closed to book once more, but that familiar sealing light didn't go off this time and he held it out to Piper, letting her take it from him. "I'm going to need you to translate what I wrote there into common for Malik...you know my common script is atrocious." Indeed, very much so.

Moonstone lay in the hay, currled up as tight as he could, eyes sqeezed shut, trying to find sleep. The last hour, while it may have been something he could look back on and smile about, had turned into a grizzly embarrasment. Not only his idiot brother making fun of him, but the two finding out about his....condition had set Moon in a bad mood. Piper acted like he was foolsih for keeping it a secret, Onyx acted as if the whole ordeal didn't matter in the slightest. He recalled curling up with his mother, his head on her chest as she petted him, or brushed his fur, or held him when he had hurt himself. To hear her beating heart, to wonder why he couldn't hear or feel his own. Only to find out later that there was just...nothing there.
Warren circled the great stone structure, for that was indeed what it seemed to be. It was enormous, standing three of him tall, at least, and wider than he knew how to estimate. He kept tracing his fingers over those designs, and couldn't help but think that there was soemtihng he should know about them. They were familiar some how, and yet so utterly foriegn that Warren felt at a loss. Six sides to this thing. How odd. An eerie silence clung to this place like a grave yard.
Ashlyn came down the stairs. Where she had been and what she was doing upstairs was nobodies busness but hers. The point was that she had been up there and was now comming down. She saw Onyx getting pet, and immidiatly got very jealouse. She plunked herself down on the other side of Piper and squacked. Ah, hello? Adorible griffin over here! He stuck her beak under Piper's hand, gave it a nudge.
Meilikki found her bedroom, shut the door. It had been a long day. Lots of people were finding there way through that maze. How? it wasn't really that easy to get through. It needed some rock spiders though. As soon as Tanundra came back, she'd set him back outside and see if his humming could lure any out into that open space. It was a long shot, but they might get soem of the bigger ones. Tired, she dug around in a chest at the foot of what she hopped was her bed and pulled out a nightdress. It seemed like everything she did now just took longer. As if she were afraid of something. What could she be afraid of putting on a nightdreess for? Chatching her nail on a button? She sighed. After some time of slight struggle, annoyance, and frustration, Meilikki foudn her way into the nightdress. it had better be worth it. Crawlign into her large bed, she pulled the covers up, olled onto her side. She didn't care what time it was, she was dam tired.
Tanundra was still wrapped around the statue. He didn't want to leave, was loath to do so. no, he...he couldn't leave her just yet. After all this time, after so long being away form her. But his sense of duty plagued at his thoughts. There was one Oracle that was still alive, one that he still had to protect. Heaving a great sigh that lifted the dust in the air to sparkle in the weak sunlight, Tanudnra lifted himself off theg round. With one last look at the statue, with one more goodbye, he headed out.
Aella sat lounging in front of the fire, much like the kobold had done. The odd littel creature had hogged the hearth. Whirlwind lay there, head propped up on one hand, staff weaving through the flames in the other. She swirled the fire, playing with it. Finally soem time to relax and she felt that she didn't want to. She was getting bored. And while talking with the Oracle was always good entertainment, Meilikki only spoke for so long, before the poor dear got tired and needed to rest. She still hadn't recovered physically. Aella watched the woman and cared for her as much as she could, but there was only so much she could do before both women were at each other's throats.
"Are you leaveing so soon?" "I have buisness to attented to, oh yes." "But you only just got here! We've only just began to experiment with the animals and the..." "Hush for now. I shall deal with that when I return. for now, I must make a quick journey." "You won't be long then?" "Oh no, I won't be long at akll." He laughed, and smiled.
Bode sta on her bed, playing with her fox figurine. Her and her father had been busy, spending time togther, doing pretty much whatever popped into the little girls mind. So much so that Simon was often exausted when he went to bed at ngiht. Bode, while tired, was al revved up the next morning. Evetnaull, Simon had to attend to other thigns. So now, without a playmate, Bode was left by herself. Bored, the little girl stuck the item in her pocket, and headed downstairs to the kitches. the slaves looked at her when she came in, but being the guest she was, they said nothing when she started to pull out pots and pans and ingrediants. What was she doing? Why, she was going to back some brownies of course!
Alaran sat, in human form, in roarke's room, watching him as he slept, muttering to hersel. How dare he. How DARE he ask to see that Eliot womanagain. She was nothing but a tramp, a nobody. What was so wrong with a dragon, hmm? Ton had loved her. She was sure of that. And so would Roarke. She would make sure of that. Roarke just slept on, ablivious to his "gaurdian" and her musings.
Mason cleaned out his last glass for that evening. Looking to a regular who sat in front of him, got the man's attention. "Joey, who bein that man there? The one sluggin back ale like it were water?" Joey turned around a moment, regarded the figure sitting in the back corner. "Thaat's O'Konner. I talked to 'im a little while ago. Won't tell no one what he's here for. But h elooks like one of them cattle rustlers ya here about." Mason nodded. "I'm thinking you're right aobut that part. But why here in Deep Water?" Joey shurgged, "We know he's lookiin' for a man by the name of Sam Magee. But other than that. nothing."
Morelle blinked into existance, much like the imps did while phasing, and trotted his way along the hallway until he found the room that smelled like it was used by both twins. He hopped up on the bed and curled himself up with the raven item, waiting for one of the twins to come bye so that he could let them know that he was back.
Jaun poked at his brother. "You go in." Jell poked him back. "no, YOU go in." Neither of the imps had much drive to enter the fortress, not since they had as of yet been unable to find a way around that wierd...forecefeild type thingy. Gees, it didn't have to be THAT difficult...but then again Jaun and Jell weren't exactly the smartest guys this side of Labyrinth, now were they? No sir. The two stood staring at the front entrance for a long time. "Let's go the the roofe," Said Jaun. And the two of them Phased out, to see if they could find a chimney to shimmie down.
Roarke seemed to stress that killing the souless relaly wouldn't be such a bad idea." Blue looked up at Kieran. "Do you think they will be difficult to handle? If they find out we aim to kill them?" He put a hand to his chin. "A violent approach to them might tirgger this..'response.'"
Iris stood in the room the slaves had left her, hardley moving, not hardley even breathing. She had nothing left to do, as far as she knew. She had thought perhaps that if she followed that little group of other souless, she might aslo be given a job. But no, just clothes, clothes that she was not all that comfortable in. But she wouldn't complain, she would never complain. She would stand here and wait, just like last time.

Eliot gave Roarke a weak smile. Yes she could talk about Rawl she supposed. She left silently, walking slowly back to her rooms, passing by people and rooms wothout really seeing them.
She sat on her bed and pulled out the little crystilized rose that hung aroudn her neck. She realized she hadn't given it back to Roarke, she had meant to. why had she forgotten? It wasn't like her to forget things liek that, she had always considered herself quite reliable.
She sighed and tucked the crystal away. She didn't know what to do. If slaves where being grown then how was she to stop something like that? slaves that wanted to be freed is one thing, but those who havd no minds of their own? that was something altogether different.
She curled up on her bed, and went to sleep.

Malik nodded to Kieran.
"You two can work on that. I will be needing to see the oracle shortly. now Piper you wanted to come with me, are you sure you can handle it?"
Snagging a slave by the arm, who dropped the broom he'd been sweeping with and cowering, he was given instruction to find and retrieve Iris. Malik had some questions for her as well.
Onyx was purring nad enjoying the attention..until birdbrain was trying to muscle in, to which he pushed her head back by the beak.
"Mine."
And put himself completely across Piper's lap to get all that lovely grooming attention.

The servent found Iris in the same room that they had left her. And she was told to come downstairs, so she did. She found Malik, as she was instructed to do. She bowed at the waist, low and straight. "You called for me, Sire?"
The griffin snapped at Onyx. Hey! Stop hogging1 Piper DOES have two hands you know. She squaked and tried to oush Onyx off of Piper's lap. You don't have to be like that you know. I am the loyal pet. I'm allowed to be cute and cuddly to someone else's fiance.

Piper blinked at them both as they took to literally fighting over her. Setting the journal on the steps next to her, one hand was given back to Onyx, the other was given to Ashlyn. "Now now you two...stop it...there's enough petting for all." A small smile before she looked up to the none to personable Malik. A tilt of her head at him...did he have to mention that she had a little freak out show of weakness moment? And he got a half angry half upset look at that. "I can handle it..."
Kieran tilted his own head, crossing his arms. "You may be right Blue. But also, you have to consider that they might not care about their lives. Regardless...killing has never been my first option.

Eliot woke up, she never slept late and she sould tell it was stil dark out. She got up and realized she had slept in her clothes. Sighing she went to the chest of drawers that was in her room and rummaged around until she found something satifactory. She pulled on a pair of Burgandy pants and slipped them on, she carefully re-wrapped her upper body , hands and feet. at least she would be warmer this way if the academy was cool.
She decided to go for a walk. She walked out of her rooms and browesd the desereted coridors. She observed paintings and tapistries, vauses and nick nacks that she found. Nothing really sparked her interest she just walked around. She found many doors where locked but she didn't really care. She just kept walking.
(edit)
She found herself In a high tower, she caught Roarke's smell and thought that his room must be around here somewhere. Some company would be nice she thought. Maybe he wouldn't mind some as well. She thought it had to be close to morning, a magi would certainly get up early wouldn't he?
She got to the door and didn't even hesitate to nock. She was cold though, and was glad she ha dput her cloak tight around herself.

The trio gathered in the tight corridor, not wishing to draw too much attention to themselves. The three ex-patriots watched the city flow, and waited for their contact. Some time deep into the night, if it could be called that from the eternal glow of the city, the contact arrived baring good news.
"The time to strike will be upon us soon," The soft femine voice promised. "You will be able to take back what is yours soon enough."
Jafar smiled wickedly, "Excellent." He said with a hiss.
Deep in the darkest recesses of the Earth, the creature lumbered along the chamber unaware that he had been targeted. Who would bother to come this far into the abyss for slaves or pets? Who would have the time, resources and manpower to do so for the sake of personal enjoyment?
The creature walked three steps into a cubby that was used as a pantry, where the large creature stored most of his food things, human limbs and the like. Upon reaching for a nice chuck of raw human flesh, the creature found itself waylaid by bandits. It was a short, brutal fight. The creature was captured, and imprissoned, though he stood nearly twice the hight of his captors.
Off the shores of Deep Water, the pirate vessel watched the flow of fish and goods from the mainland to the island-state. Talon eagerly awaited the time to strike a blow against this sea-side community, wishing to fufill his pirate crew's need for wealth. The quarter demon merely shruged off the blame for the deaths that were likely to follow, guessing that they were merely some spects of dust in a grand whirlwind of souls. He never really understood the mortal love of mortality.
Jiscal watched the bard sing half heartedly while his wife, Zeranda, entertained some of the noble guests. Jiscal was feeling the wieght of the world on his shoulders, as everything about his predocesser's kingdom was laid bare before him. The coffers were empty of all but a few copper treasures. All of the gold squandered away on many missadventures and false representations of wealth. The only thing that Jiscal was seriously looking forward too was the ship that a strange Deep Gnome was building him. It was going to be a grand wooden masted ship with all the rigging of lore. For once, there was a positive perk to being king...
Trem Bowl worked feverishly at his duties, bringing together the necessary professionals to build he masterful ship that he desired to construct, at the expense of someone else. He enjoyed the tasks that he was assigned by Tarathiel and Talon, and no one would ever suspect this rigerous gnome for being a member of a pirate orginization that ruled a large chunk of the South Central Sea. The gnome paused in his work, and considered for the first time that these people might have a different name for this body of water. Salmander named them in relation to his capitol, so it is possible the water was simply called Deep Water. The gnome shoke his head back to his work, and continued to design the ship that both Tarathiel and Talon wished Jiscal to have.
Vierna enjoyed watching her brother do his work, as he was certainly a gift from the gods, more percisely, her goddess. Lolth smiled upon the Family with that child, who literally breathed chaos from his soul. Everything he touched seemed to bring distruction to the universe. Nothing was more pleasing to a priestess of Chaos then a person who seemed to bring it everywhere he went. This boy who she raised from birth became the star student at the School of Fighters, and then the prized general of Mother's army. He was prime breeding material, one part for his divine nature and the other for his royal heiratige. Vierna found herself smiling ludely thinking about her brother again, a drow she had always wished to have, since the days of her yougth. For 1600 years or more, this drow priestess has watched and waited for the right male to be born, and she did not regret that it was one of her younger brothers.

"Then you can come with me then, and we'll see about your little task as well."
Then his attention went to Iris.
"You're creator, or the one in charge of your creator...did you know thier name, or ever see them? adn you mentioned being without a soul as well. were you created this way, or was that taken from you?"
his arms crossed his chest, looking her up and down, waiting for his answer, while gesturing to her.
"Hold out your arm."
And once she did, he took a steak knife from teh kitchen, comeing back and slicing her arm open to see any reaction in teh body, or from herself.
Onyx purred and nuzzled her hand, before shooting a glare at the griffin. he was there first dang it, he should get to choose wether or not to share. though the talk of killing and souless slaves got his attention some. oh yes he was told he coudl kill them if they acted funny.
"What's that thing on your shoulder, Kieran?"

Iris pulled herself out of her bow. "I do not know his name. He does not show his face. He is hooded." That was the best that she could answer, from her recollections. It was some time ago after all." She kept her eyes lowered, Bowed slightly again. "Sire. My soul was taken from me. Thus it no longer belongs to me. I am souless."
She held out her arm witout any protest. He sliced her arm, and while ti was painful, she did not flinch, she did not cry out. All seh did was bleed. She did not ask why Malik did it either.
Ashyln nussled Piper's hand, ahppy for the attention. She glared at Onyx, which was pretty uch trnaslated into a stick out the tongue gesture. Oh yeah? Well it's the giver that decides who she gives it too. She sat witha smug smile.
Blue hid behind Kieran's neck a moment, learning a bit of caution since almost being eaten, but seeing as how the large cat wasn't pouncing on any body else, Blue stepped out onto Kieran's shoulder. "I am Blue," he announced. "A fairy."
