I hate it when people who don't understand economics complain about simulated economies.
Would you walk up to a car salesman and ask for a car at half price because it's not fair that you don't have that much money?

He'd probably kick me out of the store, but anyway.

Someone made a very good point in my history class the other day. Kyle, who is half Cherokee, and Trey, who is black, were arguing about whose people had suffered more. It went something like this: Quote: Kyle: The whole black suffering thing is totally blown out of proportion. Trey: You wouldn't be saying that if your family had been brought accross the ocean into slavery. Kyle: Hey, you guys had the Middle Passage; we had the Trail of Tears. Trey: You indian guys didn't have to sail accross the ocean in a cramped little boat. Kyle: You guys didn't have to walk.

I saw Hostel today. Well I sort of saw it today, I walked out. The first half of the movie is about three guys trying to get laid as many times as they can. The second half of the movie is about them dying.
I'm all for scary movies... when they don't suck. Blood, gore and torture isn't scary, it's disturbing. I don't want to go to a movie to see blood splattering all over the place.
As far as I'm concerned, if you're going to make a scary movie, it's gotta have suspense, and a plot that will ******** with your mind and keep you hooked. The only movie I can remember that did freak me out, is Secret Window. The suspense in that movie was done to perfection if you ask me.
Anyways, bottom line is, I didn't like Hostel, and that's twice now my friends and I have gone a movie I said we shouldn't (they didn't like it either). The first time was with Underworld: Evolution, I said we should've seen Hoodwinked. This time it was with Hostel and I said we should've seen Capote.

Have YOU ever been to Arkansas? And Brolly, you should have told me you were going to see Hostel. I would have stopped you. I make it a policy not to see any movies the girls in my art class like.

What the ********, I'm going to have to vent for a mionute.
Yesterday I spent an hour cleaning the guest bathroom because my grandma's coming later this week.
Last night my sister went in there, threw trash on the ground, rubbed soap and lotion all over the counter, dragged everything out of the drawers, and put toothpase all over the sink.
I got on the computer at two in the morning and typed my mother a note about it, and then this morning when I called her she said that my sister had made up some bullshit story about cleaning the bathroom, which my mother believed without looking at it, and now I have to clean up the mess.
What the hell is wrong with my family?
