The pirate let out a satisfied sigh as the ship rocked gently when the landing gear met the ground. The Je'daii had taken his first mate to the medical bay to be watched over by Sawbones while they awaited the Je'daii envoy. "Ex ex, you are coming with us, Ought activate the other mk lv and mk v's I do not expect trouble but none the less." The droids answered in unison before separating "Statment: As you so desire master." Dawson was already making his way towards the medical bay to ensure that the medical droid was aware of Zara's condition, as well as to grab the Je'daii so that they could begin their wait with a few ales.

Stav Kesh Docking Platform

he patted Elyria on the shoulder and nodded.
"I'll see you when you return. May the Force be with you all."
He stood nearby watching them ready to leave for a bit. then Kad turned and headed back up to his quarters. He'd need to clean up and arrange a meeting with the Grandmaster for a debrief. He took a round about way back to his quarters to give him time to think. Master Stone was deeply worried about the Grandmaster but she didn't have time to explain why given that she was about to set off on a mission.

Kaleth - Tython

De'avril said nothing, but nodded to Corvin in answer to his silent question, indicating that the Epoch Wren was ready to fly. He had been listening to the conversation between Mizu and Elyria with a strange mix of feelings... on the one hand, he wanted to come to Elyria's aid, on the other he admired Mizu's directness - she reminded him so much of himself before his own training.

He took a steadying breath, and was just about to explain that he had merely intended to take Mizu as his apprentice, but that she would have to accept before he'd proceed. He was about to, but he never had the opportunity. His mouth hung open as he was interrupted by Taithu... and then came the slap.

His jaw snapped shut. His eyes slid from Mizu to Elyria. "You know what?" He asked, standing suddenly and clapping his hands together once as he did so. He wondered fleetingly if Mizu was a bad influence on him, but he had had more than enough of this nonsense. "I've just learned that I'm missing part of the story myself, and fairly publicly. Rather than go around in circles in a bad game of 'com unit,' let's just ask my own master directly."

If Corvin had to admit a flaw, it was certainly his pride. He loved Elyria, of that there was no doubt in his mind, but she'd just made a fool of him in front of the council and those wounds were still fresh... if it hadn't have been for Mizu's outburst, he might have reeled on her himself. Instead, he turned to Mizu with an admonishing glare, and said "We're going to get on my ship now. We don't have any more time for nonsense." He slid his eyes over to his mentor and finished "And Master Stone is going to fill us all in. This time, without omissions." It wasn't a request.

His eyes shown plainly the chaotic mix of emotions he was experiencing, and his own thoughts admonished Elyria 'Or do you need to get your padawan under control?'

Kaleth - Tython

Mizu laughed in the je'daii's face.
"Screaming? I said what I had to say quite calmly and barely even raised my voice. You find me impossible, insufferable, irrational and incapable of ever finding the balance and discipline necessary to be a Je'daii? Need I remind you that i'm not the one so blinded by love that I can't recognize that her dear master could very likely be the reason that an entire planet full of innocent people were sacrificed to the emperor? Nor was I any part of that pathetic display that I witnessed in the council chambers. Hell Corvin and I are the two most rational and sane people here it seems. But what would I know? I thought you could find balance through training. Then again, you're the master, i'm sure you know better. Oh and as for being privy to information? You expect me to come risk my life for you, because gods know i'm getting nothing out of this, and you believe that I shouldn't know what i'm getting myself into? "
She ignored Corvin's glare entirely but replied to him.
"No, I don't think I need to hear anything this woman has to say. Have fun without me."
Turning her back on the group she began to walk away. She doubted she'd just be allowed off world but she sure as hell wasn't sticking around that irritating woman another second.

The shuttle arrived and a gaggle of youngling's and pawadans still journeying between the temples stepped out giving plenty of room to the Zabrak, and his hound. "Looks like it's just going to be us eh Miri?" the shuttle was now empty save for the droid pilot. With a sigh he set his belongings down on an empty seat and made his way over to the viewport waiting for the shuttle to take off.

Kaleth - Tython

Corvin felt completely wretched. The two women were both walking away from him, and he was torn in the middle. Elyria had hurt his pride, to be certain, and he wasn't ready to entertain the idea that there may have been some misunderstanding, but seeing her get hit and then walk away? There was more to this than he knew.

And Mizu... what was he going to do about her? Whether she accepted him as mentor or not, everyone on this planet would blame him for anything that went wrong now - he'd put his own neck on the line to keep the council from digging into her, and it had bitten him in the butt. On the other hand, there was only so far Elyria could go, but Mizu was getting away. "Sithspit!" He cursed, put the Force into his leap, and threw himself high into the air.

He landed in a crouch in front of Mizu, a maneuver reminiscent of how they had met on Nal Hutta. "What do you think you're doing?" Corvin demanded of her as he put his hands on her shoulders. He never gripped or made any other motion to restrain her, but instead leaned in conspiratorially, his voice dropping to a whisper. "You can't walk away now..." he hissed, "You're a force sensitive that knows the location of the Je'daii homeworld! I only said I would take you as my apprentice to get the Council off your back - whether you want that or not is still up to you, but if you don't at least come with me, the Je'daii will stick you in the Padawan Kesh with the children." He straightened his posture and resumed his normal tone, adding "Now I want answers as badly as you do, but neither of us have that kind of time!"

He removed his hands from her shoulders then, and smiled "Of course, if you DO accept my training, I can promise you will actually get something out of this... I've learned a few tricks that are invaluable in our line of work - gifts I'm told are quite rare." Taking a step back, Corvin used his rare Force Cloak discipline to vanish from sight entirely, right in front of Mizu.

When he spoke next, it was physically impossible for her to detect what direction the sound originated from, "I wish there was more time, but Dawson isn't giving it to us..." When he reappeared, he was behind her. "and by the gods, I wish I had let you shoot that traitor! That, at least, is a mistake I know how to fix. Are you with me?"
