The bear roared louder at the two students that had come and attacked it. It looked at the one that had hit it with the wooden sword thing. It then raised it's paw and got ready to attack. It then felt it get bit or something by an animal. The bear roared even louder and took attacked the thing that had hit it with the wooden sword thing. It was a bear, it didn't know what it was. The bear then missed Makoto's face with it's paw and it roared even louder as it did so.

Toshi smiled as he saw the other student's skill. He smirked at Lunar and said softly so her ears could barely hear it. "Dang he's good. We need to step up our game Lunar." He ran toward the bear again and attempted to land a punch near the bear's side. He noticed that Lunar jumped off of his shoulder and tried to slash weakly at the humongous bear in proportions to her own tiny body. He was almost worried for her but he remembered just how tough that little feline could be. He spun around ready for the next attack as Lunar landed beside him, also poised and ready. You wouldn't be able to tell that they couldn't really communicate. The feline was using its street fighting skills it had learned while in the port town while Toshi was just swinging around weakly. They wanted to at least get one more hit in.

Toshi sighed as he looked at Lunar and shook his head. "Well at least we didn't get hurt but I almost feel bad for hitting it while it's sleeping. Oh well back to training." He set Lunar in his lap as he sat down. He held out his hand and took a very deep breath. He slowly felt his chakra rise up from within his core and move towards his outstretched hand. "Watch and learn Lunar. You need to learn how to use ninjutsu as well." He slowly manipulated the flow of his chakra into his hand. From there he gave it life. He slowly worked it into a slow spinning ball of wind. He smiled as his efforts weren't in vain.
He slowly let the ball of chakra slip away, making it send a small breeze in every direction. He couldn't help but smile as Lunar flinched and laid down. He gently stroked her back and laughingly said. "You shouldn't put your face too close to that it was made to destroy things. So it won't let you off easily if you mess with it." He ruffled the hair on top of Lunar's hair before continuing. He took a deep breath as he closed his eyes once more and felt the chakra inside him slowly beckon to his call. He slowly forced the chakra up his chest and into his arm. Slowly it made its way lower and lower. Once it had reached his wrist he turned his hand upward and slowly let his chakra mix with the air and create a moving torrent of air. Lunar watched with awe as she slowly started to feel her hairs raise before the ball started to take shape. She nodded slowly knowing that the chakra was moving and starting to take form.
She watched it when suddenly it vanished with another gust of wind. She sniffed the air able to sense that the focused chakra had stripped down to natural wind. Toshi smiles and hid his disappointment at not making Lunar freak out again. Maybe he shouldn't have told her to be weary. Then again if anything happened to this feline he would feel quite sad about it. He shook his head and focused on his chakra once more. Like before it slowly rose up and coursed through his body before slowly sliding all into his right palm. Slowly another ball of wind formed. He felt excited as if the air tingled wanting more of his chakra. He shook his head and resisted the urge to try and pull more from his core and send it into the air around him.

Toshi released his chakra and felt a slight stab into his legs as Lunar was surprised at how suddenly it vanished. The was surprised the cat wasn't going for his face. His face just finally lost all the scabs from the last time she attacked him. He took a deep breath and stretched his arms. He rolled his shoulders, and once finished, closed his eyes. He took a deep breath and felt the air move down into his lungs. He focused even more as he slowly made the chakra make the most direct route to his palm. He felt it surge through him and settle into his palm just below the surface of the skin. He forced the chakra out and into a ball as the wind quickly rushed towards the chakra. He smiled openly as the thrill went through him. Lunar still seemed to be studying the ball of wind.
Lunar slowly started to edge towards the ball of moving wind. Toshi quickly released the chakra the moment he started to see Lunar's faint movement. He didn't understand why the cat wouldn't listen to him. He looked down at the cat and smiled gently rubbing the back of her head with one hand as he sighed. He continued to rub the back of her neck as he closed his eyes and began to focus once more. He felt the chakra start to move when he wanted it to. It slowly made its way toward his right hand. Lunar could feel the chakra under Toshi's skin abuzz with energy, so much that it caused her fur to heat up under Toshi's hand. Toshi forced all his chakra into the palm of his right hand and let it release into the air above and form a ball of wind once more.

Toshi blinked as the other person pushed pass him and knocked the ball out of his hand. Toshi narrowed his eyes slightly. 'Did we do something wrong?' He looked down at Lunar who looked at the man tending to the Panda. 'Why is he being hostile to us. It was him that clubbed the thing repeatedly with the wooden sword.' Lunar shook her head before resting it on Toshi's leg. It was surprisingly comfortable despite how skinny the kid was. Toshi sighed and focused once more at the task at hand. He felt his chakra starting to surge up faster and down into his hand. He watched as the chakra slowly made its way out of his palm and into the air above it. The ball rotated above his hand. He couldn't help but smile at the starting processes of learning a new jutsu.
He closed his hand as he felt the ball collapse from the chakra around his fingers and vanish between them. He took another deep breath to calm himself and focus. He could still feel the grass underneath him but thankfully Lunar was just watching from his lap and not digging those feline claws into him. Lunar licked her paw clean of the small scratch she had caused on the bears body. With all that fur she was surprised she'd actually made it to skin. Toshi allowed his chakra to go even faster this time to the palm of his hand. He felt the tingle in his arm and then his wrist. He held it just below the surface of his skin like before and slowly let it out and start to form a ball in his hand. His smile only grew each time he saw that it hadn't failed.
He let the ball collapse in on its self and make a slight "Pop" sound. He smiled at that too until he felt Lunar jump and dig those feline claws in. If it weren't for her helping in fights he would have clipped her claws the moment they returned to the village. He sighed and scratched along her neck and down her body as he began to focus a little more easier now that the claws no longer dug into him. He closed his eyes and focused on his chakra. It moved faster than he was used to and went straight to his hand and out sending a burst of wind into his face. He fell back with a thump and coughed as he rolled over to the side. Thankfully Lunar jumped off before he rolled over otherwise he'd be in more pain for that.

Toshi coughed as he looked and noticed that the panda was asleep. He slowly pushed himself up and spoke. "Glad the bear is alright. I didn't think you'd save it though. Heh. Guess you're a nice guy after all huh? Then again you stepped in to save that other student so I should have figured that out before. The again you could have just wanted to beat something up... But I'll go with my first decision. Isn't that right Lunar?" He looked down at the cat as she looked down and sighed. 'You're an idiot...' She thought to herself. He nodded and smiled. "She says she's sorry for beating on it too." He received a glare from Lunar that he didn't notice he was too busy working with his chakra again. This time he slowed it down and had a more firm control of it. He smiled as the ball formed once more.
He was also glad that it didn't explode wind into his face. He let the chakra slip from his fingers and meld with the air. Lunar slowly walked over and laid into his lap once more as she watch intently, almost to the point her nails dug in. He felt the nails holding onto his pants but not piercing them yet. He took a deep breath as he slowly pulled the chakra through his body and up his right shoulder. Slowly it fell down into his arm, filling it up. He condensed all the chakra from the arm even more into his palm. A gust of wind quickly came and made the ball that he was getting used to seeing. He continued to be a little suspicious of the ball. Worried that it may explode another gust and knock him down flat, he quickly released his chakra.
The wind scattered between his fingers as Lunar stayed perfectly still. He smiled and lifted her up onto his shoulder. She put her hind legs into the crevasse between his shoulder and his neck. Her two front paws rested on the top of his head as she watched from his eye view. He smiled and closed his eyes. He had to get this down. The chakra slowly moved throughout his body. He shifted and condensed it to his arm and from his arm he condensed it farther into his hand. He let it slip through his skin and watched as the ball slowly took form and spun. He couldn't help but want to touch it. At this point in the jutsu he knew that it wouldn't be deadly. It'd probably feel like how it would when you put your hands on the blades of a fan on slow and have it slightly sting. He thought he better not risk it and closed his hand. The wind shifting around him and eventually dissolving into calmness.

Toshi sighed and wiped the sweat from his forehead. This wasn't going to be easy. He decided on his next task. It was going to be the barrier encampment method. He would have to study all the best areas to put it up in a narrow hallway, a forest, a river opening, and lastly, an urban area. Those were going to be the places he decided to make a mock up of where put them. 'We'll fight on those environments anyways so why not think of some things for them.' Lunar came up with a small bag around her neck and he smiled petting her. "Where have you been hiding this the whole time? You need to stop hiding things Lunar?" He smiled as he looked at lunar. "I think we should put one here and....here." He made a make shift hallway in the sand and marked two points.
He looked up at Lunar to see her nod her head and he smiled. "You're such a good kitty." He scratched behind her ears as he begun to think. He made an x on where he thought would be a good spot and he felt a sting from a bite. He winced at looked at Lunar. "What is it? You hungry?" Lunar looked at him flatly and let go thinking to herself. 'He's such an idiot...' Toshi went back to thinking as he thought about his best possible choices. He wondered if he could do a diamond formation. Too spread out and it'd be useless. It had to be compact enough to deliver a good hit while at the same time be well placed so he could possibly his another.
Lunar sat there watching Toshi as he mumbled to himself. She thought to herself. 'He really is stupid. You need to attack here and... Uh... um... hmph! Who cares about this stuff!' She jumped onto Toshi's lap and curled into a ball. 'Don't you move idiot or I'll scratch your face.' Toshi smiled as he let lunar curl up on his lap. Not that he had a choice but he knew lunar's temperament. He started to rub his chin as he thought about another way of doing it. Put it on the walls. He thought about it but couldn't put it down on the diagram. He didn't know how he would be able to put something like that in a small area and not get noticed.
He closed his eyes as he tried to focus. Lunar appeared to be asleep already. He sighed enviously at the cats life. It got fed by him whenever it wanted food. It got to run around free. He shook his head as he went back onto the topic. He had to focus about how to make it work. He had two places where he could put it but... he needed another two at least. He sighed and shook his head once more. Nothing was coming to him at all. His brain felt like it was on vacation. He just wanted to slap his mind and yell at it to wake up. He wanted to master this as quickly as possible. He scratched the top of lunar's head in thought.
He paused for a moment with an idea. If there was only one or two people then he could be able to make a small area on the ceiling so the rubble would fall on them. If it was a group that was kind of spaced out then he would use the diamond formation and activate it when they were all in it. The problem though would be how far apart. He paused his rush to think about that part. If it was a large group he'd have to make it only big enough to take out at least ten people. He couldn't do it any bigger or the explosions would just be to far away to be any real damage. He nodded to himself and was proud of his revelation.
He decided to go onto his next objective. He thought about where he would be able to put it in a forest area. He smoothed the sand like dirt and made a forest of random up and down lines. Some were thicker than others while some were also thinner and short. He made it all shapes and sizes along with branches. It still looked like a five year old had drawn it but he wasn't that good at drawing... He pondered to himself as his mind started to race. He gently scratched behind Lunar's ears and a smile started to grow as he hear the rumbles and felt his legs vibrating. He looked at the picture. "Well. If we put two at a height of about ten feet. We'll be able to cover people that are in the trees and if they are on ground level they would have shards of wood splintering toward them. Depending on how thick the trees were we could also have them fall and hopefully crush and or injure them."
He thought about how well the was planned and he couldn't help feeling a sense of satisfaction. He wondered where the other two would go. If he had one near the ground and another up in a tree higher up... 'No no that's a stupid idea. . . If I did that then the effect would be too far spread out and the blast wouldn't be really anything. I mean... Sure it could do some damage but in an open area like that the tags need to be closer not farther apart. GAH! Why can't I think right now?' He sighed and scratched Lunar's nose area thinking it was the top of her head. She glared at him and thought to herself. 'Boy if you don't stop you're going to get hurt... I'm warning you... ENOUGH!' She lightly bit his hand. Not enough to make him bleed but enough to know that she didn't like it. He looked down and pulled out a snack of his. He unwrapped it and set the food on his lap. He was a sucker for a sucker.
He watched as Lunar slowly sniffed and then licked the sucked on the wrapper. He sighed and scratched his head. "UHG! Why can't I think of anything. . ." He thought to himself 'Maybe if I put them both higher and rely more on the falling trees to attack people then it would work... No no that wouldn't work either. They just move out of the way. The only reason the ten foot height works is cause the blast will disorient them enough for the trees to fall. Plus they are thicker at the ten foot mark and heavier meaning that it would fall faster than if they were higher... GAH! Think think think!' He picked up the sucker and almost stuck it in his mouth. A sharp pain rose in his leg as the sucker was near his lips. He winced and looked down. He then remembered that he gave it to Lunar. "It's cherry flavored so enjoy.."
He took a deep breath as he started to rub his temples. He could feel it slightly helping. He was okay at reading and thinking but stuff like this kind of hurt after awhile. He looked down at lunar that had one hand on the stick and licking to her hearts content. "You're sure useful aren't you... You better not get that one me." Lunar just looked her head up at him for a moment and then went back to licking her treat. "Good. Now back to the problem at hand..." He spoke mainly to himself but aloud on the off chance Lunar might give some advice or a hint. 'Well if I was too high in my placements last time if I have them at about a two foot level that should be better right?' He thought about it as the image slowly played out in his head. 'If they come from the low side they'll be blasted into the falling trees and splinters. If they come from the high side they'll be facing an explosion a meter or so from their face. . . It sounds good to me... Yes I will go with that.'
He pondered on what the next one should be. He was half done and the only two he had was an urban area and a river area. 'Hmmm. Which one should I go for... Well it doesn't really matter I have to do them both so I have better insight on where to put them for maximum effect. Hmmm... I'll pick the river area since "R" comes before "U".' He nodded to himself and swiped the sand like dirt back into a smooth surface. He made two wavy lines that got closer the farther away from him they got. He wondered where a good spot would be. He stroked his smooth hairless chin as he thought. 'I can put one beside the water... I mean everyone goes to get water when they are thirsty or even just to fill up their canteens. Okay well that one is solved and another one should be slightly under a rock facing away from the first so it can blow the rock and laugh it towards the person by the river.'

Toshi stretched his back and rolled his neck in hopes to feel better. A part of him did start to feel better. He went back to his thoughts. He had to find another place to put the other two. He rolled around a few ideas in his head. He liked some of them but he had a problem deciding between the two. He nodded to himself. 'Okay so if I spot a piece of drift wood I will put it behind that and the other between the two farthest apart tags but near the river. And if there isn't then I'll make a diamond like shape with a only one point near the river and the rest spread out just a little but close enough to do some damage by the explosions and flung up rocks... Yes yes that should work for the river area. I just hope people will fall for it.'
He sat there as Lunar used her tail to brush the dirt smooth. Toshi smiled and thanked her by scratching the top of her head. He smiled thankfully that she also moved enough so he could draw. He made a makeshift market place on the dirt in front of him. He wondered a moment before he found where to place the first tag. He remembered there being a stall near one of the intersections. He made an "X" where he remembered the cart being. A tag placed there could easily destroy the cart. If he placed a bag of kunai in there too then it would be even more devastating. He let his mind wander a little bit more. 'It would also be nice if the wood splintered out toward them so I guess I'd have to hide it in a special way so it would explode towards the intersection but not be easily seen. Well I got the base for it down but lets not blow up any carts in Otogakure.'
He looked at Lunar and smiled. He sweetened his voice, "Oh Lunar.~ Do you think you could use that massive Feline smarts of yours and find another place to put it?" Lunar looked down at the drawing and glared at him flatly. 'How do you expect anyone to be able to tell what this is. It just looks like a bunch of horrible lines but I'd put one near a building's wall so that way it would explode and crush them. Much like the hallway idea you had. Along with the tree idea too.' She tried to tell him. He blinked as the storm of mew's came out. He sighed and patted her head not understanding her. "We really need to work on our communicating skills..." He looked down at his make shift map and remember seeing barrels out as well on the adjacent corner. He would definitely hide one in between those. He would probably have to fill it with something flammable.
He only had two tags left to place. He thought about the area he could remember. He had remembered that some of the stalls and covers over them to block out the sun while people worked under it in the shade. He couldn't think of what they were called but he decided that he would put one there. The other tag was also causing a bit of a problem. He couldn't think of where to put it. "Lunar. Where should I put the last tag. It's bothering me. I want it to be somewhere near the corner that doesn't have a tag by it but... I just can't think of the right spot." Lunar looked up at him and sighed. She was getting tired of his constant questions. She never talked to her just to talk to her. Why should she help him now? Toshi scratched his head as he began to think.
"Hmmm.... The only think I can think of is a giant pole, but people need that for power... Hmmm... " He rolled on the ground groaning as his head tried to remember things, anything really. He just needed one more spot and he would be done with the four common area's he'd be most likely to fight in. He ran a hand through his messy hair and then shook it out. A gentle wind brushed against his skin as he smiled happily, enjoying the cool breeze. He sat up slowly and nodded. He walked off with lunar by his side. "That's right. I can hide it under a poster on the corner of the building. I might have to learn some genjutsu in case there isn't any posters around. . . Then again it's a city so there are bound to be posters on walls. "
