Rose walked into her room and sat on the bed. She laid her head on the pillow and fell asleep instantly.
Serenity stood at the boat smiling. She had just got a man to follow the girl. She climbed in and laughed as it started moving. Serenity knew that the girl (Iro) had a start before her. But she swore to herself she would find the girl and bring her to her justice.

Iro looked at Ryu, unsure of what to say. She didn't know whether to thank him for helping her, curse at him for his attitude, or hug him for some strange reason that she didn't know yet. "Thank you," she managed to mumble, "for everything...." She found herself a comfortable spot in the back of the boat and fell asleep almost instantly, exsausted from her run....

(( Yo, Animeia. It'd take a while to reach the docks. Iroka and Ryushi are taking the fastest way, they started first, and they still haven't arrived yet. ))
Ryushi sighed, looking out and staring down the river in anticipation of the docks. After half and hour or so of pretty fast drifting, past other boats too, they caught sight of the docks. Or rather, he caught sight of signs of the docks. There were more people along the side of the river, more of them looking like seamen rather than farmers. There were also more boats on the river too. "Oh, there they are. I'd say 10 minutes left."
He didn't move to wake Iroka up yet, though. They still had some time, and he didn't want to be bothered with a grumpy Iroka yet.

Iro smiled lightly in her sleep, alone in a dream she'd never share with anyone. ((though I may post just for the heck of it whee )) Iro sat cross-legged in the floor of a boat, a tall man sitting next to her. "So where to my lady," he said, a joking yet loving tone in his voice, "the entire world belongs to us, where shall I take you?" She smiled at him, perfectly content with just being in his presence. "I'm not sure, my lord," she smiled, the same tone in her voice that he had had, "where ever the wind may take us is fine by me..." "Aye, aye, my lady," he said, bending to kiss her.... Iro rolled over, hit a rather hard place in her bed of hay, and jerked awake, hating to be pulled away from her place of peace. Seeing Ryu standing towards the front of the boat, she pulled herself up and walked up behind him. "Are we almost there?" she asked quietly, still unsure exactly how to act around him. He looks so much like Takida, she thought, but I suppose it's just in his hair and stature, his eyes aren't the same...

((Oh oops sorry! sweatdrop )) Serenity breathed in the air and made her way across the river toward the docks. She watched the water and fell asleep as the summer sun shined on her hair. Rose yawned and woke up. She had slept for quite a while and knew she should get to work. Rose walked out of the room and looked down the silent empty hall. Where is everyone? Rose quietly walked back in her room and fished out some scrolls and started to study one of the ancient scrolls she had just bought before she had got to Geosn Temple City.

"You have enough time for a very short nap before we arrive," said Ryushi. "The raft won't move anytime soon after it arrives, so you don't have to get up as soon as we touch down, either. Go sleep some more."
He began to do some breathing excercises, focusing the area around him. He made some cycling hand motions in the air with open palm, pushing minute amounts of mana and life force in the air. Living beings were pinpricks of light in his closed eyelids- he could see where every living creature was without actually seeing. He normally couldn't do this, though, without the help of the symbol's focusing attributes.

Rose looked through the scroll and gasped as it tore in half. "This is not a medicine scroll...I have never even heard of these herbs. It must be a fake..." A small piece of parchment fell out of half or the torn scroll. What is this... The parchment described a cure but for what she was oblivious too.

Iro watched Ryu intently, fully determined to not sleep anymore. "What are you doing?" she asked him, knowing her interuption would probably make him go off at her again.

The air seemed to quickly shift outwards, as if pressure had just been released. "Hrm?" he grunted impatiently. He had heard her words, but hadn't been able to concentrate on them.

"What are you doing?" Iro repeated again, sitting facing Ryu, "is it some sort of meditation? Can you teach me?"

"It's... practice," he said, not finding any better name for it at the moment. "It's like tugging at a string to tell how heavy or how close and in what direction whatever's on the other end of the string. 'Sensing' someone, in other words. Mana sources are 'heavier' than humans, humans heavier than insects. It helps both in feeling out people and in fine-tuning your ability to manipulate mana."
He shrugged. "I'm not much of a teacher. I'm not much of a student, either. Nor do I feel like using that annoying voice that I was taught this in."

Iro looked at him, her legs crossed awkwardly beneath her, and tilted her head to the side in a questioning manner. The whole pose made her resemble some large cat not completely sure why its owners were laughing at its attempt to catch a toy mouse. "So, you could still try to teach me, couldn't you?" she asked, eyes boaring into his, "I'd love to learn. The Healer used to do it, but she refused to show me how. Please....." She looked at him intently, now looking like a cat that was determined to catch the feather that was being dangled above its head.

Ryushi weakened for a moment, half out of her asking, half out of his desire to make her stop asking. It passed though, and he heaved a sigh. "Maybe when we're not floating in the middle of the docks, in plain sight," he said, for they had arrived by now. People were sitting on the edges of the river which were covered in elevated wooden platforms.

Serenity woke up and yawned peacefully. She could see the docks in the distance but it was still quite a ways. She looked up toward the sky and then stared down at the pure water. Rose read the parchment and shivered. "Wait this is not only a cure." The parchement described a poison that would kill within seconds and it had pretty simple ingredients byt the look of it. "My sister would have loved this. But this is not right. It says the person will feel the agony of hells fire in their seconds of life." Rose folded the paper and hid it under her clothes. "No one must know of this."

Iro smiled at him hugely. "I would like to learn at some point though," she said, standing and turning away from him, "It could be semi-useful for all I know...."
She walked towards the bow of the boat, making sure her hood was tight around her head. "So, what do we do now?" she asked, looking longingly out to the sea.
