Ok I normally do not complain but really!?!?!?
I practically beat my adversary into the ground and I lose and he wins? The last time I did that in the GTB I advanced by a mile and now I lose by two points?
I mean I'll take it as it is but wow, I just am stunned.

WoTS5567_No_Okami Yesh, primary competition is gone... No offence Sam ^.^ Now just for someone to beat Virtue... Ugh, I am just frustrated cause my opponent did not post for 8 days and sent me a PM saying he was gonna be in the hospital and un-able able to participate, which i forwarded to Vin. I just don't get it, don't think I ever will, don't think I even want too.

My heart isn't totally into this and most of my creative energy is being devoted to a Pokemon RP I just joined. Not to say I'm not going to be trying, I wouldn't want to take away from whoever I'm RPing with. But at this point I could kind of care less if I win or lose, you know?

So this is what's going to happen. Score wise, with the present posts, he still had a better lead in rping in terms of your character. However, if he doesn't show up by today, I will take that as a forfeit and put you in his place.

Yeah, it was almost your fight, but your main drawback was the rping and Control point. You did everywhere else, but it was mainly those two that decided the victor. I would have enjoyed having two other judges to balance it out, but it is how it is, man. .....Not gonna lie.......lots of opinions and all of them are negative so i shall refrain from voicing them. I will just say from a professional stand point it is wrong, flat out and simple I think it is wrong. But, it is your tournament, so I have no point from which to stand an argument. I guess I will simply re-join next year and ensure my adversary is dead or KO by post three if that is what it takes.

Nah that sounds fair, but I can't agree with you at all on the score part, I don't know I guess I see things more in a tactical aspect then anything else.

The thing is that unless you can actually get a KO, the outcome of the fight is still very much up in the air.
Because just doing damage - or more damage, or taking less damage - isn't the sole factor in deciding who wins and who loses.
If I outpace my opponent in damage and don't take much because I just ignored 90 percent of what he threw at me while trying to force every attack of my own, then I didn't really do a very good job of dominating the fight because I probably had to sacrifice logic to do it.
If I'm in a dominant position, all those points garnered in the relevant categories can be immediately made negligible if my posts are borderline impossible to read.
If I spend the entire fight trying to push the same attack, my creativity score is going to suffer, even if the attack is/was sound from a tactical/technical standpoint.
If I spend the fight downplaying my opponent's character while trying to overplay mine, then I'm liable to suffer in both creativity AND logic, regardless of how my dominance/control/damage score(s) pan out.
A roleplay fight scene is still a roleplay. I'm not saying you did any of those things; I'm not a judge for this tournament. I'm just saying - there's more to winning than.. well, winning. You have to be able to win without compromising the other factors.
Not that winning is the most important aspect. Roleplaying is ultimately collaborative even when we make it competitive; the most important aspect will always be participation.

Well said and i see your point, as you know me I have always seen things in a tactical light, whatever is sound, logical, and keeps you alive wins. Just hard to break out of that mold after ten years of doing it and seeing things from others perspectives but i;m trying like hell, that is all i can do.
