The path Aaron makes as he pushes through the jungle seems to split off in two directions. One path is very dark and eerie, screeching with the life of unknown beasts. The other leads into a more open area of the jungle. It seems peaceful, but then again its also very quiet in that direction...

You're going to get us eaten!"Aaron glared at Hot Shot. Gettin' real tired of your s**t. . . Aaron wordlessly continued the direction that the instructors map had planned, despite the foreboding atmosphere.

As Aaron presses on into the eerie forrest the area gets darker and darker from how thick the canopy is. There are several slants downhill, and every now again a dark shape will dart out of his peripheral. Even if nothing has approached yet, Aaron can feel eyes staring at him. Things only get worse when a low mist starts to gather on the ground, worsening his sight so much that Aaron can no longer see the way back. Suddenly he hears a low growl, like the meow of a cat screeching "Naaaoooooooooo." It purrs again, and he can see the outline of a dark and sinsiter-looking cat sitting on a branch above him. "mrrrrong wrrraaaaaaaay."

Aaron Travels ||Level One||Devil's Rhapsody||Ki Reserve: 350|| Aaron looked up at the cat-like creature in the tree. It kinda figures. Haven't seen a lot of life on this island, and sure-as-shine one of the first is some sort of talking cat. What did that serum do to me?"THE FLYING FUQ IS THAT?!" Hot Shot drew his guitar and started shaking it at the cat, who remained unfazed. "Dude, chill out!" Aaron kicked at Hot Shot, but somehow missed. "Excuse me, Mr. Sinister looking Cat. Did you say wrong way? I've just been following this map you see. I'm trying to find someone...Arete? I was told he lives in a trailer out here."

☽Yue ☾   [enter]Yue walked up to the the gate of the jingle"Perfect" He read the sign carefully and bowed alittle to it."Thank you for the warning." He walked into the jungle and looked around for a branch that may lay on the ground. The knife he had wasn't very sharp, but for now it would do. It would take forever to get the bow design he wanted, but it would be worth it in the end. "Itssssss Cheshire Cat, hhhhhhactually." The small feline hissed from its branch. "meeeeaand iffff you're looking him, he went that wwwwhay." It grinned widely and pointed one of its claws to the left.

Christ, I really am in Wonderland, aren't I?"Well thank you very much, noble Cheshire! I hope that our paths will cross again some day!" Aaron took off in the direction the cat had offered, but then turned back over his shoulder. Mimicking the cat, he gave a huge grin. "Unless you wanna come along with me, now?"

Aaron Travels ||Level One||Devil's Rhapsody||Ki Reserve: 350|| Aaron jumped at the sound of the other person. "Oh. Uh, hi!" The other man, and it was, a man, was tall. Really tall. Aaron thought for a minute of the "drink me" potion, but shook it out of his mind. He looked up at the man. He didn't look particularly friendly. Cold, maybe. But at the same time, he had bowed first. Still. . . "Dude, who's the giant?" Hot Shot shouted. He had stopped shaking his guitar at the cat, and looked over to where Aaron had run. "Stop being a d**k," Aaron said to his companion. Cheshire gave Aaron a weird look. Probably because Aaron hadn't yet realized that Hot Shot was a figment of his imagination. Oh well. "My name's Aaron. This is Hot Shot and Cheshire. Are you lost, by chance?" Aaron kept a smile on his face, but he was still slightly nervous--he got that way around tall people.

Aaron Travels ||Level One||Devil's Rhapsody||Ki Reserve: 350|| Aaron sincerely hoped that the "nice long thick branch" comment was not a euphemism for something else; he'd already been molested by one guy too many today. "Well it's nice to meet you, Yue. A branch? I suppose there's a lot of them about. In the trees and such. I bet you could reach better than me." The noises in the jungle had started to become slightly more intimidating. Cheshire leapt from his branch and perched on top of Aaron's head. The cat smiled as Aaron reached up to scratch him behind the ear. "And it's not you making me feel uncomfortable...It's just the uhh" Aaron gestured around him at the jungle. "I just don't want to stay in one place too long. I hear it's dangerous."Aaron thought that maybe Yue wasn't terribly used to human interaction. He put on his bravest smile, and held his hand out. "I was just out here looking for someone. Would you like to join me? I bet we could find you a stick or two along the way. . ."

Hot Shot wouldn't be much in terms of a fight, but at least they had some numbers now. Cheshire was purring on Aaron's head now. Hot Shot looked a bit put-out. Even though he irritated Aaron, Aaron still hoped that he hadn't upset Hot Shot by inviting Yue along. Aaron looked in the direction that Cheshire had pointed. "Let's go this way. It shouldn't be too much farther now!"[/exit to Helping Hand]
