Well that wasn't really quite what he had been expecting. Blinking as the head guy made his way out, Deryk looked to their guide for the time being before following him and the others out. What sort of class were they going to? They were here to fight against the evil darkness weren't they?
Shrugging, he just continued on out.

"Sure thing, Mother Duck." Ryan answered to Ferdina---Bix when he made the 'hatchling' comment; motioning for them all to follow after him. Which, at this rate, he really was going to feel like a bunch of ducklings following in a row. Like ones taking their first few steps...
Pushing himself off the ground, he moved to take this first step, but stopped when his vision blurred again.
Ugh... he felt sick...
Moving too quickly had made the room spin and now he thought he felt like he was going to fall over again... Though thankfully there was no encounter with the floor, as the hunter candidate wobbled and swayed after the others and off to class.

Aleister's eyes trailed to the shadow man as he said something about a class and disappeared with something that was glowing... was that a cell phone? He wrinkled his nose, memories still fresh in his mind of the whole trails.
"Right... class." He trailed behind Minerva and the others. Hoping to find something useful.

...Class?
All those memories, the drama, the emotion, and...
Yes, class. Class was good. He patted his pockets down, absently looking for a pen as he followed everyone else.
Class was practical. Wash liked practical.

Now they were being directed towards a class? And here she thought she was done with classes. However, she wouldn't be so quick to judge, as she needed to learn what was necessary to prove to Deus ex Machina that she was worthy. Failing..was definitely not an option.
Best to get this done and over with. She came here by her own choice--there was no backing out now.
"Coming." Standing to her feet, she began to follow Bix and the rest of the hatchlings out of the room.

Voices? Was that voices she heard?
A groan, placing a hand upon her head, shadows in her vision. The world spun like it was in the final stages of the washing machine, only showing some blacks and whites and finally as it started to settle, color. Blobs were her world at first. Sure she heard voices speaking, catching the bare ends of conversation as she tried to get her bearings. The blobs sure talked a lot...
It took her a fair amount of time before she found her world coming back, shapes returning from blurred versions enough to realize they were in a giant room filled with.... pods? She was INSIDE one of those pods..? A wince, a flash of her own memories, a weapon hurtling towards her.... all the pain in the world... and then suddenly nothing. Blackness for far too long.
Ugh, she had a horrible headache.
It was not until there was an addition of another voice that her aqua colored eyes followed the line of sight, and of 'hatchlings', to the room they seemed to be herded to. A deep breath, slowly exhaled. Her sluggish mind almost caught up with her, she stepped out of the pod and followed the people to the 'class' on wobbling legs it felt like she had not used in a long while.

A girl tumbled out of an open pod, landing with a dull thud on the floor.
Everything was overwhelming- it hurt not just from falling, but all her muscles ached, the floor was cold, and the humming of machinery was so loud. She didn't want to open her eyes, not yet, for fear of the light.
It felt.. it felt like what she imagined being born might feel like- suddenly becoming aware of everything at once.
"Good morning sleepers."
The voice hurt, like a knife being stabbed into her brain with each syllable. Sleepers? But sleeping was supposed to make you feel relaxed, wasn't it? Sprawling out over the floor, the girl lifted a hand to cover her eyes, then finally opened them. It wasn't as bright as she'd expected, but she winced anyway, unused to her new surroundings. Around her, she could make out.. shapes, and more shapes- and then she managed to trace the source of the voice, a shady figure standing in the distance.
Clambering up back onto what must have been.. her pod, the girl took a while to stretch. Still the figure spoke on.
And then a barrage of memories hit her like a punch in the face. But she'd taken worse than just a punch in the face, before, and even though she curled up in the pod, trembling and retching from remembering.. that particular room, nothing came up. Luckily. They must not have been fed in the pods, then.
"I will fight," Reine whispered in response to the figure, her voice hoarse. She'd fought before- to get onto the island, on the island- and she'd fight until.... until she got where she wanted.
With a grimace, she pulled herself upright, still leaning on the pod for balance. Little by little, she could feel her strength coming back to her.
"Class..?"
That felt somewhat nostalgic. She'd rather enjoyed classes in college, in the past, but something told her not to even begin imagining what would be in store for her- and the rest- next.

Dakota was reeling, pain and fear mingled together unconscionably in his system. When he woke, he woke aching and terrified and looked around. His body couldn't move yet, but he was initially aware of what was happening around him. His skull rang when someone spoke, questioning them.
He pushed his body up and looked around, there was other's, they seemed to suffer the same as him and yet, they all looked so strong. He was mulling over it when it hit. The memories, the reason. His Mission.
His voice was loud as he shouted. "I am her to fight." and that was it. It was time to find out what was to happen next, He headed to the "Class".

“Bloody hell…” Tori said to her self quietly as she had started to open her eyes. She just hurt everywhere and why did all of her senses have to hurt as well. Quickly Tori had closed her eyes again to see if that would help the pounding in her head go away and when it didn’t he opened them a few more times were she could focus on her surrounding and then did she ever so painful start to get out of her pod as she heard others but wasn’t truly focused to really hear what they all said.
Until she heard one voice as to were they were and then she remember and wanted to forget her trial as that was something she didn’t want to experience anytime soon. Tori heard what was asked and though for a second that sleep would be good but brushed that idea out of her head quickly. “I…I here to fight, sir,” she had finally said. Then they had a class to go to and that suited Tori just find as she quietly followed the group to the class.

First everything felt…muted, than it seemed to come at her all at once. Different sounds, smells, temperatures, but what was worst of all? The lights. It was bright, painfully so. Mallaidh let out a whine as her hands clumsily reached up to cover her face, and while it helped to dim the brightness; it did nothing to ease how groggy she felt. Oh! Now wasn’t the time to be lying around! There were chores to do and a little sister to wake up and feed—she lowered her hands, squinting, until the room came into focus, and she in took a sharp breath as reality came crashing back at her. The young woman’s brows furrowed as she took in her surroundings. That’s right…she didn’t have that schedule anymore…and hadn’t she been in the middle of something…? She rubbed her forehead and closed her eyes again briefly. Maybe she could go back to sleep for just a little bit…maybe her head wouldn’t be bothering her as bad if she did…

Jim was nearly falling asleep on pod duty, when one of the sleeper pods opened, a face peering outside. Saying that he nearly had a heart attack was a good start, saying that he had no clue what to do in this situation was another good start. Wait. What would Caelius do?
He tried his best to look imposing, though it was hard to look imposing when one wasn't actually facing the same direction as the newly awoken sleeper. Next he tried to make his voice stern and clinical. The key of course was to emphasize random words. "Hello sleeper. You woke up just in time." There. That sounded oddly mysterious and terse enough, though his southern accent made everything just sound like one long drawl. He decided to continue. "Welcome to Deus Ex Machina, I am sure you have faced difficult trials, but soon you will remember all." Insert a mysterious hand wave, he always liked to think he was some kind of Jedi, only cooler.

Mallaidh would be ashamed to admit that when she did poke her head out at first, she didn’t see Jim. With that white coat…he kind of blended in with the environment, but the light in here was really bright too. The young woman startled at the sound of his voice, and her eyes snapped back open as stumbled out of her pod. Pounding head ache or no, she wasn’t about to try and flub in front of someone of authority. “ Th…thank you…uh…Sir!” She stammered, squinting to try and get a better look at who was addressing her. Er…wait. He wasn’t turned towards her, oh no! Was he speaking to someone else? Was it a he? She sure hoped so. Deus Ex Machina…trials…aw, head please stop hurting. Everything was rather foggy still…maybe she’d just wait to see if he tell her do something…that seemed best.

And then, seeing how cute this new sleeper was, Jim decided that further more proactive actions needed to be taken. Sir. He liked that, it sounded all officious and stuff, as if he was important. He strutted towards side, offering her an arm, eye focusing somewhere lower than her face for a second. 'Note to self: get this chick's cell phone number later.'
"Yes, it is all very confusing at first," insert another mysterious Jedi hand wave with his free hand as he lead Malliadh towards the door out of the room. "But I'm sure a lovely lady such as yourself must have several questions to ask me."
Really, he had all the time in the world.

Mallaidh lowered her hands from her head as she heard foot steps approach, and blinked. She then stared at Jim with a wide eyed and grateful expression. He understood. She was very confused right now, and had absolutely no idea what she needed to do next. Aww, he even offered her his arm! That Jim, what a nice guy. The young woman took the offered arm with one hand, the other reaching up to rub a freckled cheek as she blushed, following him to the door. Ooh, she could ask questions? Jim was the best! “… Uh…yes sir, actually!....Um…” She paused, her brows furrowing. “… Do…you know how long I’ve been sleeping for? Oh! What day is it?”

This was the happiest day of his Hunter sentry life. Granted, Jim had botched up several missions, enough for him to be considered for the duties of permanent and only sentry duty forever, but really, how did he know that explosives were not the weapon of choice during a stealth mission? Those higher ups just expected way too much, way too much. He shook his free first at the sky - the black cavernous ceiling really - muttering a few choice words about what he thought about those dang rules under his breath.
Wait a second - this sleeper was asking more questions. Goshdangit, questions, quick, think of a good excuse. "Yes, well, see," he began, trying to buy time and recall what he was told when he woke up for the first time, "Some of you have been sleeping for a long time." That's right, make it mysterious and vague, that always worked, right? "All in due time you will know your purpose here, yes, your purposes, but first you should, see, probably -"
Waitasec, what was it that sleepers did after their orientation?
-" That's right! The weapons cove! It will all become clear there!" Jim was so proud of himself: he had actually remembered something useful, or possibly just sent a totally beautiful chick to an absolutely wrong location for her demise. Positives, think positives first. "Yes, I'll lead you there, a truly magical experience. Oh you'll also need a dorm room, after you're done you should prolly, I dunno, go talk to the quartermaster for a room." He scratched his head absently.
The sentry Hunter then continued to babble on about dress code ethics, the unfairness of his position, how he should really get paid more, and the overall hygiene of everyone else before they finally arrived at a very modest outcropping on what seemed very much like the edge of a sandy beach.
Jim shrugged. "Welp, there ya go, have fun, I better get back to my stationed post, but call me sometime okay. I'm Jim by the way, shouldn't be too hard to find someone with my fatal good looks, if I don't say so myself." They made more gesturing hand waves towards the outcropping, of what looked like a cove.
OOC - Your character can now go post their weapons initation ceremony and set up their dorm rooms! Once that is all done, they can start rping at Deus. - In terms of memory from their past, your character might find that they can only remember glimpses, flashes of their trial, and of what happened prior to their arriving on the Island. The longer they stay however, the more they can remember.
