Bolt sighed in relief at seeing Kei, "Kei! Get these quacks away from me! I don't need straps or needles or anything!"
"You have to calm down," the dwarven doctor said. He looked pleaing at Keioko, "We have to strap him down. He's not thinking rational!"
The nurse dropped the syringe when Bolt slapped it with his orange wing. The orderlies grabbed four of his wings, the doctor another one, and the nurse attempted to grab the last. The syringe dropped to Keioko's feet. Looking at Kei, the nurse screamed, "Hand that to me!" as Bolt began to fight again.

He struggled a little, but his face relaxed a little, his body sweating profusely. He said to her, straining, "Tell them not to tie me, Kei! Tell them not to strap me down! I want to be free, I want to be free, please, Kei, let me be free!"

The nurse screamed, "He's insane!"
"No, he's just under stress," the dwarf said, "Please, miss, we have to sedate him!"

His eyes teared up and he stopped struggling. He couldn't think straight and his eyes bore the look of a beast. It was as if he wasn't thinking at all. THe doctor and nurse were astounded. The two orderlies looked at her wide-eyed, as if she had done something magical.

Bolt regained his thoughts for one moment, his eyes focusing on Kei's. He smiled as she touched him on the forehead. "Kei..." Bolt said, before closing his eyes and going unconscious. The doctor rushed to Bolt's side and checked his levels.

"He's fine," that dwarf Dr. Khalukik said with a laugh, "That was some risky thing you pulled, missy." He was referring to Kei. The orderlies relaxed and let go of Bolt's wings.

The nurse grabbed the syringe off the floor and stabbed it into Bolt's orange wing. She muttered, "Just in case."

The doctor came over to Bolt and allowed the nurse to write down all the observations for a little bit. He said to her, "He's obviously still in pain from whatever happened to him. You told the nurse he 'swallowed fire'? You mean he drank gasoline or something? Or... what?"

One of the orderlies began to wipe the sweat away from Bolt. In a deep voice, the man said, "This guy is one sweaty bird-man." THe other orderly laughed and plugged Bolt into an IV.

"I understand," The dwarf sighed, "Let me go over what I have found. He took a lot of internal damage. Scarring along the esophagus, burns around the lips, you ca'see. I was worried his lungs would be burnt as well, but tests indicate he's a-grown immune, it seems, to burns in that area. As a result, he should be fine. It is just that he has to breath and every breath he takes rushes past said burns. It's a real painful way to breathe, missy."

He paussed a moment and then continued, "You said he was an Ankaa, as well? I am unfamiliar with that term. Is that like... a harpie?"

He grunted, "I didn't say he was a harpie, did I, Missy? I just suggested that he resembled one... nasty things they are.. but he don't have any claws anyways. I see the phoenix resemblence. Interesting thing he is." He glanced at her, "As are you. I don't know what you are either, or that other guy with the cloak. I am guessing you're some hind of devil-cat and he's a monk, but who knows these days?"

He sighed, "Anyways, this one here's going to have to recover for a few days before he could even be allowed to walk. I wouldn't suggest him leaving the hospital for a full week. If you have any business in this port, I suggest you get to it while he's recovering. Also, there's an Inn near by if you need a place to stay. Just half a mile down the road."

He shrugged, "Whatever you want, catwoman."

He walked over and conversesd a bit with the nurse, making sure she understood what to do. Just let Bolt rest and make sure the rest of everything was alright. The dwarf walked over to Revan and said, "So, you met my cousin, did you? Odd. That scoundrel barely ever leaves his caves. Leader of the clan he is." The dwarf started to walk off.
