"Oh so your the ol coot to impress. I see. Well lets see what i can whip up for you Ma'am." Walter smiled to Gladice before he and Integra filled out said form quick enough and headed to a station.
Integra would be cooking while Walter would work on drinks and plating. And both were good at what they did. Walter had a fineness to things while Integra.. well she could just cook pretty damned good. She wasnt a gourmet chef but she wasnt horrible.
Actually now that Walter was looking around there were a few people here he knew. Matthew whom he smiled to and tipped his hat, that he didnt have. Dante aka Danielle. Little Una. Raiden, Keith.. hm he wondered how the boy was doing since that night he had hurt himself. He did believe that next to Keith was Connor. Xeiro who had hit on Bela that New Years eve night. And that seemed to be the lot of them.

"Kommt mit mir." Una said as she left Dante to stare at Raiden. She had now come back and was tugging on his arm to get him to a station. "Ve are signedt up, you kan talk to your boyfriendt later. You promised Mein Unkle you vould help me cook!" Una said as she dragged Dante away and to a station.
Dante had been slightly put off by Raiden's behavior. Hiding from everyone. And he hadnt exactly greeted Dante with enthus- no wait Dante was looking into it too much. Or rather expecting more. Especially after that New Years Eve .. kiss. "See you around." Dante said gently as he was pulled away by Una. When they got to the station Dante had his hand on his neck where Raiden had licked him that night. Oh the thought made him blush and sent shivers down his spine.
"Now i vill cook und you make everythingt look pretty ja?" Una commanded from Dante.

A nervous laugh came from the boy before he moved over to an empty station... Dear goddess please have mercy on him.Time to begin? Ilya grinned at that, pulling Kaleb over to the station where they were to start. She wasn't the best cook in the world, but she could defend herself. Most likely Kaleb would die from starvation if she couldn't cook. Well no... he'd make something that didn't involve heat.

Well, it was time for things to starts. All three judges where there and almost everyone where behind their stations. For those who weren't ready yet, well that was their own faults. Gladice stood up and took the microphone. "Welcome! Welcome! It is time for the annual cooking contest. We would like to great our ruling champion, Mystery Girl X, one year more. Would any other 12 other team be able to beat her? Uh, what are you saying? What do you mean 13?" Gladice stopped talking for a moment, as a certain NPC maid came to talk to her. She blocked the mic as to make sure that no one heard their conversation. Even though only a couple bribe of words could be heard, it was clear that the two women were having an argument and by judging with their occasional glance toward the judges table, it was an argument about Gaston. What else was new. About five minutes later, the maid walked away leaving Gladice obviously angry. "Alright... Thirteen groups. We have a last minute contestant called...Florence VI joining us... I'm sure you can all guess just who exactly is it... " The old woman shook her head, took in a deap breath and really tried to calm herself before moving closer to the ingredients table. "This year's theme is..." She pulled out of the large clothe that was recovering the table, revealing various ingredients. Predominating on the table were garlics, ginger, anise, asparagus, bamboo shots, bean sprouts, Bok Choy, broccoli, cabbage, capsicum, various kinds of nuts, various kinds of noodles, various kind of meat with pork predominating, and mushroom. Of course, pretty much any kind of ingredients one would need could be found, but those were the majors one. "Chinese! You can all begin now! You have 1 hours.

Chinese? Really? Well, ********. He knew ******** all about Chinese cooking... or.. well... maybe not. He did live in a chinese inn with a chinese restaurant in it. He just never really had eaten there more than once or twice. "Uh, dude? Salad? Yeah... salad... He said to Conor, but really speaking to himself. He needed to think out loud sometimes, and this was one of theses times. He went to the ingredient tables to chose some ingredients.... the ******** like he knew what he was doing then.. He picked up some bamboo shoot, some limes, some bok choy, some spices and oil... yeah, he should be able to figure something out with that. He brought everything back to his station and handed Conor some stuff. "Uh, dude.. uhm... press the lime over a bowl to get their juice and.. uh... mix is with spoon of sugar, a spoon of that red powder here.. uh... half a cup of oil... oh, and two spoon of that bottle that say fish sauce... yeah.." That should make a good Chinese style dressing, right? Oh well.. He proceeded to slice up the bamboo shoot, bokchoy, ginger and garlic her had, tossing them all in a bowl. At least he was still a master over his knife! Well.. His cuts were less precise than the last year. Blame the permanent pain on his abdomen from the still not healed wound and the fact he was improvising on the spot...

  Alright! It had started! Haruka fell right into cook mode as she retrieved a scrunchie from her pocket and tied her hair up into a ponytail. Nanami, however, was less focused. She was more distracted by the addition of Florence. Really? Well, as long as it wasn't the panda again, she was fine. For some reason, a panda cooking Chinese food sounded like it was cheating. While Nanami stood there at a loss of what to do, Haruka proceeded to start making gyoza. They didn't eat that much Chinese food, but the two of them liked food that went well with beer, and since gyoza was also popular with Japanese people, she had memorized her grandmother's recipes. It was easy, too... so hopefully Nanami wouldn't mess it up too badly.

But Haruka was nervous, and her fingers shook as she worked. Dammit, why did she have to be suffering from stage fright now? Gyoza was small and detailed, she should have picked something that wouldn't suffer from clumsy fingers. Next thing Nanami knew, Haruka had shoved her a plate of gyoza wrappers. They... honestly, they didn't look too good at this point. But that wasn't her job, right? All she had to do was fold them, right? She had spent plenty of childhood afternoons pinching the dumplings closed. While Haruka continued on prepping, Nanami folded the gyoza and pushed the plate back when she was done so Haruka could cook them. A few moments later, the plate was returned, and Nanami set about arranging them nicely on the plate. She had experience in design, but food was different. Food was kind of hard, actually!

 Chinese food! Well, Alex lucked out. He liked Asian food! He didn't get to cook it as much as he'd like anymore, but in culinary school, it was always his favorite kind to do. He decided to make crab dim sum because... well, it was good! He'd have to improvise with a few things, since obviously he didn't have full access to every ingredient or product he'd like, but as long as he kept it simple, it shouldn't matter.

Well, err... They didn't have anything at all! Maybe he should have picked something that didn't require a bamboo steamer. It would have been a lot better if he had one! Especially since he was used to proper steaming equipment. He had never been very good at steaming in a wok. But it was too late to go back now, and he proceeded to arrange the dumplings on the plate.

"Chinese? Oh i know some good chinese dishes.. though ive never made them." Dante said gently to Una.
Una glared at Dante and slapped his arm. "Vell go get die ingredients und bringt ztem heir so i kan cook!" Una said as she pointed to the ingredient table.
"Okay okay!" Dante blushed and ran to grab what he needed. He grabbed the ingredients to make Harumaki. He brought them back and put them on the table. "I know how to make it... but.. it might be more Japanese then Chinese..." Dante said now rethinking himself.
"Ist vont matter. Tell mich." Una said as she quickly got to cooking while Dante instructed her on how to do it.

Integra went with making a nice chinese dumpling soup. She had to spend most of the time making the dumplings themselves and steaming them before she could put them into the soup. Hopefully she could pull off this one. Chinese she had rarely done at home and usually it was something simple like Sesame chicken or stir fry of some sort.

Walter then served up the nice little Chinese Dumpling soup.. well it smelled nice. Anyways he tried his best and served it up with some warm Sake.

Jack heard Gladice's announcement and ran to his station. He got there in time to see what materials he had to use. 'Chinese?! Well I do know some seafood platters.' He thought to himself as he looked over the ingredients. "Appetizer huh?" He said to himself as he rubbed his chin. He smiled as he grabbed some scallops and other ingredients and started cooking. He rinsed and cut the scallops in half. He then quickly cut some peppers, garlic, and onions into small pieces. He set them to the side and added some oyster sauce, red wine, and sugar in a bowl. He quickly mixed up the sauce and then heated up a pan. He took the scallops and veggie pieces into the pan with some oil. After the scallops were evenly brown he mixed in the sauce with the scallops and continue to cook.

Before Freja or Mao had time to insult each other over the little mistake of putting them both on the same team, Gladice had started the contest. They, however, started to laugh in euphoria when they learned that the theme was Chinese food. "Both of us cooking chinese, food will be so easy!" She exclaimed. Most of the things in her shop came from China and Mao was obviously Chinese! No way they could loose it.. unless, of course, they spent all the alocated time arguing about what they would cook. Finally, they chose something very simple and easy to make. Something totally Traditionally Chinese! Something that everyone would enjoy! It would be none other than Balut! A Duck Fetus boiled in the shell! Of course, Freja being Freja and Mao being Mao, added some things in it to make it even more tasty! Like pigblood drained from the pork meat to boiled the Duck egg in it. As well as some dried up bat wings to give it a little kick!

After the sauce was cooked into the scallops, Jack took three plates. He was breathing heavily, making these by memory from his seafood cook book was alittle difficult. He carefully took his pan and scooped out his work onto the plates. He then added a few sprinklings of shredded garlic cloves over the scallops and finished his dish. He smiled and sighed in relief as he finished his work, just hoping the judges liked them. Garlic Scallop Stir fry!
