(Yes, Mathis...although Grey Knights are more expensive then thier fellow marines, I did not mean to sound like I meant that Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines stay the same whilst Grey Knights increase greatly in stats...in 1,500 points, if Grey Knights were bringing 5 Space Marines would be bringing 6. (This goes for CSM too.)

Anyway, don't feel too "new" Dryfolius, I myself have only been playing 7 months or so, however I do believe I am playing alot more points than you. Money troubles too?
Eck, money...GamesWorkshop... sad
Yep money problems im underage for a job, im 14 so... hehe

OKay well close combat works like this, first you get your units into it. Either by
A. Charging
or
B. Moving your units into base to base contact.

Now if you charge all your guys get plus one attack add to their profile for that turn and any other special attacks, if you don't charge then they get their profile attacks plus any other special attacks they may receive. (Have a single handed weapon and a close combat weapon will give them a second close combat attack.)

So once you move your guys into base to base contact in one of the two ways shown above you figure out what the majority of their Weapons skill is, or WS. If you are fighting Space Marine VS Chaos Space Marines since both sides have a weapons skill of 4 for their normal units then you would each hit each other on a 4+.

Since SPace marines have a 4 toughness and a four strength you would wound on a 4+ aswell. Then your Space Marines would get a 3+ armor save against it.

Oh yes okay lets say that

C is a Chaos Space marine and O is a Space Marine

OC-C-C-C

Now the Chaos Space Marines got engaged from the side the rest of the Chaos Space Marines are out of the Combat because they are more then two inches away from the Space Marine. Now on the Chaos Space Marines turn he cane pile in his troops and move them 6inches into combat.

Actually Dart, that is not entirely true. All though only minor mistakes, however still important
First of all, I'm pretty sure that the rules for pile in, are at the end of any assault phase, any un-engaged models may move a possible 6" to become enganed.
Also, engaged models are not models who are within 2" of an enemy model, but are models that are within 2" of a friendly model with in base to base contact with the enemy.

Doesnt that mean you have to keep them in cohoerentsy?((Curssed spelling))

Your models always have to be in coherency unless you are playing a "To The Death match"

Ok guys, i got a litle bored... A Fireworrior is in a room. It is dark he cant see he looks around, his night vision is disaabled. he feels along a wall."HELP I CANT SEE!!" he yells. he finds a elevated pad, he presses it. the light turns on.He looks around in shock. There was a Tyranid Hormagaunt brood. the Fireworrior said"Ok, i dont want any light."and then you hear a scream... every thing goes blank, this is over. im so bored lol
