The sound of someone entering the Okiya awoke Tora from her day dreaming. "W-who could it be?" She asked frightened. "Mother, Onee-sama and Mizu-chan haven't been away that long!" Tora emerged from her room and look at the front door: it was shut! Tora glanced from side to side before inching forward cautiously. She paused to listen: the sound was coming from the porch. She quickly walked to the door and peeped out of a nearby window. She let out a sigh of relief to see it was just Mizu-chan. She opened the door and walked outside. "Mind if I join you?" Tora said smiling. The Maiko turned so gracefully that not a stitch of her kimono wrinkled. "I don't believe we've formally met. My name is Tora!" She said bowing, then taking a set next to her. "Mizu-chan, is that right?" Tora asked smiling.

Serena soon came back to the okiya and took of her sandals at the door.
"Mizu, did you get home ok?"Serena called out.

The day seemed to drang on. Tsuki walked around, and helped out when she was needed. Before she knew it, she had returned to the maids quarters. Sighing, she went over to her futon and layed down, thankful for the sleep that was to come.

Mizu nodded, a smile slowly blossoming over her pale features. "Hai, I'm Mizu...nice to meet you Tora...may I call you Tora-chan?" she asked uncertainly. Before the other maiko could answer, Serena-sama called out to her and she turned quickly with a small, apologetic smile. "Hai Onee-sama! Tora was keeping me company...but...I'm so sorry, I can't remember which packages are for whom!" She rose to her feet as smoothly as possible, offering Tora a hand.

"C-could you tell me whose is whose so I can separate the packets?" Mizu ventured shyly, offering to take the parcels to the various people. She liked to get a job done if possible.

It had been a long day Umemi decided thoughtfully as she looked at the accounts books once more. She had parchment and a quil with ink at the ready and was going to try to attempt correcting the mess in the books as everything seemed to be so disorganized. She sighed and wandered if she should get some tea and decided against it.

Under her Onee-sama's direction, Mizu had taken the parcels and packages to various members of the okiya family, as well as some to the kitchen and other rooms in the complex. Her favorite had been taking the small sets of jewelry to the rooms of her Onee-sama and Okaa-sama, for they had allowed her a glimpse of the exquisite pieces, that she admired greatly. Noticing as she went downstairs that Okaa-sama was busy at the account books, she hurried to the kitchen with a small smile.
Once there, she set a pot of water to boil as she chose fragrant, dried, tea leaves from a jar. Pouring the steaming water into a cup, she sprinkled in the tea leaves and let them steep for a few minutes before straining them out. Then, with the cup balanced gently on a lacquered tray, she brought the tea to her Okaa-sama. "Ano...Okaa-sama...would you like some green tea?" she asked politely, standing to one side of the doorway, her eyes downcast in respect.

Umemi nodded and smiled at Mizu "yes thankyou indeed I shall partake in some green tea" she looked at her "how are you Mizu? I have not yet had the pleasure in getting to know you? would you like to take a small break and join me with the tea?" she asked.

Mizu blushed at the offer, somewhat flustered. "Hai Okaa-sama, I could certainly do that..." she said, coming into the room and setting the steaming tea onto Okaa-sama's table. "I am Mizu Odoriko, Serena-sama's imouto-chan, thank you for allowing me to be here Okaa-sama, I promise I'll do everything to become as fine a geisha as my Onee-sama."

Tora was glad to see she'd made a new friend. She smiled to herself and sighed as the sun slowly faded below the horizon, casting an orange glow on everything. She sat and watched as the sky turned black and the stars slowly began to reveal themselfs. She glanced up and studied them, remembering what her mother had said about them, "Those stars, my little darling, are our many ansestors looking down upon us from the heavens. Please, pray and look to them for guidence if you're lost in soul." She decided she'd do that now. Many years ago, her grandmother died of old age, so Tora knew she was up there. "Please, Grandmother, Guide me and help me to become a great Geisha like you and Mother. Wrap your arms around me and lead me in the right direction. I've done everything I can up untill now, I need you for the rest." Tora was satisfied that her Grandmother had heard her. It was only a matter of time now.
By now it was very late and and the wind began to blow. It rustled her kimono and caused her to get chill bumps. She shivered and rubbed her arms. She looked to the sky one more time to admire the beauty of the stars before she retired to bed.

She stumbles in wearily. She slups by the door and breathes deeply and goes into a light meditative trance.

Serena noticed Mizu go into Okaa-san's room and a gentle smile crossed her lips. Then Serena noticed Tome come into the okiya.
"Welcome home, little one,"Serena greeted her maiko getnly.

Aire's head turned from left to right, upon entrance of the okiya. Her nervousness was quite visible, but it was her first time doing anything remotely like this. She knew the rules, having read them repeatedly at her initial application. Respect and grace and respect. She let out a small sigh. This could go wonderful... I can do this.
Stepping a few steps forward, she raised her voice just a bit. Screaming... she wouldn't scream, for that was common. "Hello?" Surely, if nobody had noted her by now, they would with the sound of her voice.

"Hello, welcome to the Kazenotanpopo Okiya!" Serena greeted.
