Haru got up, stretched her arms over her head, and walked out of the tent. "Who's he fighting?" she wondered aloud. "Oh. Yajuu... Can't say it'd bother me if I never got to face her."

Ganjou chuckled. "She's just different than you, Haru. Her clan is one that is ready to fight from birth, and well, they are less than human."

Soulvar As the effects of the illusion passed over her Kanna's pupils automatically contracted into slits. She fell to all fours on the water and tried to remain upright as her breath came in heavy strokes and her muscles convulsed and her nerves screamed. 'Not good...' she thought to herself as her senses took in that wonderful sensation. '...Need focus... Need to kill him first... They won't... Can't have... No! Stop it!... It feels so good... Need to hold on longer... Just bathe in it... Can't keep control... This is bliss... Just... Just...'
Her mind cut out.
Kanna let loose an incredible roar from her throat as she shot across the water like a bullet, an animal with only a single thing to do... Kill.
Her senses were confused enough as it was but that really didn't matter. She could taste Karu's chakra, she had taken particular note to memorize it after the first exam. She followed the same path that he did so the blurring was nothing but something to collide with.

( Speed is 310 ) Karu frowned, gesturing upwards with his hands, a large wall of water bursting forth in front of him. He knew full well it would never hold Kanna back for more than a second, but it was a second he desperately needed. A pair of black chakra-wings burst from his back and he launched into the air, the force of his own telekinesis carrying him high above. That was close. I need to think carefully about this. She outranks me vastly in speed and strength, and that particular genjutsu seems to only be making her angrier. If I can manage to block out her senses... Of course; the only way she could have found me through that genjutsus was if she was seeking my actual chakra. Well then, if my chakra is all around her, she can't exactly seek me out, can she?A heavy black mist started spreading from his left sleeve, moving much more quickly than normal, encompassing more than half the arena in a matter of seconds, obscuring all beneath him. Karu's eyes glowed yellow with the Ley Sight, seeing through the Black Wind and locating Kanna's own Signature. He smirked as he heard the tortured screams below, increasing in volume until they had reached a deafening chorus, echoing throughout the entire arena. [Your move, my dear. But with smell, sight, hearing, and touch left useless, and my chakra all around you, how do you intend to find me?] (85)

Shukoshu looked at the area, narrowing his eyes. "Kanna just had to get matched up with a Genjutsu type. Perfect." He said sarcastically. "If Karu manages to best her, I hope to have a chance to get a hold of him."Hien watched. "Eh... I do not like Genjutsu users. Right Urufumaru?" He barked cautiously in response.

Haru watched as the arena filled with black mist. It reminded her of the battle she had just gotten finished with. She looked down and noticed that she wasn't wearing the same clothes as before. Her original outfit was ink stained and soaking wet, hanging on a line to dry. She removed her scarf and wrapped it around her neck. It was only a bit damp, as it dried faster than the rest of her clothes.

With reasoning completely out the window she ran towards the wall, her jaws gulping down the chakra in the air with ease and only serving to feed her frenzy. Making a sudden leap she hit the wall on all fours before shooting off of it towards the ceiling like a spear. She hit the ceiling and shot back down in a different direction with equal speed only to repeat the action, swallowing the chakra in the air. It would have been easier if she had bitten him but there was so much that it mattered little. She kept ricocheting through the arena.
(( 277> 275 due to Devour Chakra effects ))
( not that it matters but speed is set to 465 for the ricochets )

Karu regarded her actions with a critical eye. "How very odd. Well then..." He glanced around, his mind racing to think of an appropriate strategy. Hm. That might work. He gripped Ryukiba with his left hand, detaching his arm at the elbow, a single Ley Line running between the two pieces. The blade spun in his hand, and he started swinging the arm in a wide circle. Just based off her movements, I believe I can... He waited for her to ricochet again and launched the sword at her, purple chakra collecting along the blade.

((I certainly hope so. After all the time we spent outdoors it would be nice to get some shelter))
There was a splash of blood and Kanna fell from the air to the water with a thud. Slowly she got to her feet again and glared upward. The sword had sliced open both her cheeks but the blade was locked between her fangs. She had been exceptionally lucky for the time being, and if the chakra hadn't been flowing through the blade then she might not have caught it in time... but then it would have broken anyway.

Karu smirked as Kanna tried to bite it. Perfect. "Banishing Blade!"
The chakra-loaded blade passed right through Kanna's body without cutting her, but the purple chakra absorbed into her body.
Karu retracted the undamaged sword. That ought to have slowed her down quite a bit. He pulled out an ofuda. "Release!" The chakra contained in the ofuda flooded his system, recharging him and boosting his chakra.

Kanna felt the effects but ignored them. She at least knew exactly were her prey was not, and had memorized one of his techniques. Wild Beast Style! Flying Claws! She slashed the air in front of her up towards Karu, the effect was completely invisible and silent except for the fact that the force of her slashes was launched at him compressed between two vacuums. She followed immediately in the wake of her slashes, launching into the air directly at the boy.
