Nelo: Imp. Knights can use all of their powers in full armor, as could Jedi in full battle armor...Explain the difference please?
Wrong powers dude.
Powers such as speed and several other self-enhancements have always found hindrance with armor; Perhaps I'm explaining this incorrectly. Take for example Force Sprint. You can use it in armor; However, you will be severely slower in armor that has plates and stuff on it than if you did not.
It is like saying you can speed up a machine. You really can't, not without damage to the machine. If a drill is rated for 2500 RPMs, you can't force it to go 8000 by uping the ampage and expect it to work flawlessly. It'll break down and go kersplat.
Same thing with armor. You can use it; however yours specifically, as it is far heavier than any IK ever could dream of protection-wise. And before you make excuses with weight and servos and ectectera, It still falls under the rule of cybernectic enhancements. They can only go as fast as mechanically possible.
Unfortunately, mechanically possible is really quite slow. Take any cyber-ized character. Can they move fast? Yes. But are they quick? No.
Any armor, especially bio-enhancing, is very limited in its abilities. It can only go so fast and lift so much, before the machine breaks down.
if you're faster than the machine, you break the machine.
Also, since your armor is in fact electronic, I'd also suggest not performing lightning, lest you fry your systems. And I don't mean because the static around your fingertips shocks you. I mean all that tech you got in there, You'll fry from the inside.
Lightning is a bio-conduit. You create electricity, which surges through your body. Lightning takes that shock, and distributes it to a focal point. However, since the body always needs that spark, your entire body becomes slightly charged.
Around electronics, it'll fry if you're wearing them. Think of Vader's powers; he couldn't use electricity because of his enhancements.
Your armor is so sophisticated it makes things worse in a force duel. the IKs are lucky enough they just have to adapt to working around the plates of armor, which only hinders their bodily movements.
Yours, however, sucks the mighty one because although you're armored as a tank, its virtually useless in a force-user fights because of all the augmentation done to it. Between blowing out your electronics from bodily conduction and moving only as fast as your armor allows (which never will be as fast as you could go without it), you got a double edged sword.
You need the protection the armor gives, because frankly, you'll be sitting in the middle of the arena while everyone runs circles around you.
That's the difference when you quit using plastic and cloth to upgrade to full metal plates. Big smeggin' difference, and nobody gets out of the way.
Why do you think Ferno fights the way he does? He isn't exactly a slow character; his augmentations require careful defenses, however. And when I finish crafting his sith armor, he'll even be more hindered.
Its just the rules of the force. Perhaps I should make a list of affected powers, hmm?
