And that's kind of why I want to see JAF put in charge. It's going to pretty much die once Riddle is gone; but JAF will do the most amusing job of destroying it.

I stick with my earlier statement. If I was in the mood to put up with it I'd go with "I can see faster than you move". If I wasn't I'd "lol, physicspwned".

What we need is more random fights to populate the good ol' stadium thread. Nobody uses it anymore. The guild has shifted entirely into story mode, and nobody does their random fights. Even the Void is getting dead.
Am I going to have to reinstate the "if you're here OOC, you need to be here IC" rule?

Yeah. I had one of those people challenge me to fight, was owning him with a shield sword combo before he had to leave.
I'd be willing to start up a fight in the ol' thread.

I'm going to leave in a few and eat lunch, but I'll be back for another 3 hours or so before I have to go to class again (tuesdays I have this 5 hour gap in my day).
But yeah... even if I have to start convincing people to make stock gladiator characters to throw into the pit and fight, we really just need a little traffic. If everything is moving slow people don't hang around, and if they don't hang around it moves even slower.
Just need to get the ball rollling. And... y'know... convince people to have their characters hang out in the Stadium if there isn't anything more important for them to do.

Practice makes perfect, so your character won't advance if he doesn't practice... also, even people that won't advance (read: human) would need to practice from time to time or they'd get rusty or out of shape. Let all flock to yon battlegrounds. Let there be blood. If you're good I'll throw some Christians into a pit and let the lions out.

Unless they're dead, I don't see why there'd be a problem. There aren't many characters around here that could have much of an impact if they suddenly returned from a long absense that didn't involve death. Like, coming back from a simple disappearance or departure isn't going to cause a time paradox.
Unless you're John Tomorrow coming back from the future.

Yeah, especially if they didn't really have a huge standing to start with.
Enki coming back could potentially change things.
Tenma coming back...? I don't think he was really a household name, nor do I recall him leaving some impregnated lover hanging on for him to come back before she eventually gave up hope and hung herself rather than living with the shame of having a b*****d child.
...yay imagination. biggrin
edit: I'm back from lunch, btw. Though it was less of "going to lunch" and more of "leaning against a wall outside the computer lab while I ate a sandwich".
