Aden looked after him and couldn't tell if he was making that up or telling the truth. It sounded quite believable, and he himself was believing it. He could tell that Jinafire was rather impressed by his story and her eyes were glittering with admiration. "That is so very noble of you Conrad. If you really truly believe in something you should go for it, and not allow a perfectly good dream go to waste. The truth is..." She sighed as he smiled turned into a frown. "I've got heart cancer and I'm counting possibly says here. I can feel it tugging away at me, and I've got my recital later on tonight that I'd love for the two of you to come to as my dates. At least I can say that I died having two really hot boyfriends..." She then gave puppy dog eyes that reminded him a lot of Grell trying to get something she wanted. "Please?" Aden then looked at Conrad. "I think we should."
In other words she was going to die during her recital...her very last dance.

"I'm pretty sure that my friend here would willingly fill your wish Miss." Conrad said thumping Aden's back in a friendly gesture. "I would be happy to see your recital"

Aden simply rolled his eyes because it wasn't like that at all. He only had eyes for Satrina, but he was afraid of telling his partner that he was dating a demon girl. "Yeah I'd love to go to your recital as well."
"Alright then it's settled!" She chuckled at Aden's reactions and took two tickets for it out of her purse before putting them into Adens' hands. "It starts at 6 pm so don't be late! Also don't be shy and get me some flowers boys." She then winked at them before going off to change out of her training outfit. Aden then chuckled before he looked at Conrad. "You might have had a chance with her if she wasn't going to die Conrad. She was really into you."

"Yeah, but I already have someone that I'm into." Conrad looked down at the tickets. "She wants flowers huh?"

"Flowers to mortals mean several different things. They can either mean affection or good luck, or a job well done. In this case they are good luck flowers. You have someone you're into? Really? Do I know them? Then again most likely not since we went to two different academies."

The other young reaper shook his head. "No, you wouldn't know them...."he put the ticket into his poket and looked at his watch. "We still have 7 hours till the show starts.Want to play hooky for a bit?" He winked.

Aden then smirked at him. "But playing hooky is against the rules, which is something I thought you were strict on. You seem like a play-it-by-the-book kind of guy to me. What would you like to do to pass the time? What's your version of fun?"

Conrad smiled. "I'll show you."
A few moments later they where sitting in a coffee shop very near too where That ballerina-girl was living. "I believe that rules can be bent but never broke, we can still watch over her and have a some fun."

Aden followed him into the coffee shop, wondering when the fun part was going to begin. "That's all good and all but....when are we going to start having fun? We're just sitting here in a coffee shop."

"To tell you the honest truth I'm not really that into drinking coffee or bookstores. Yes I got top marks, but school books were the only books I touched. Reading for fun isn't really my thing. I'm going to be bored out of my mind just sitting here for the next several hours, waiting for her show to start."

"I'd much rather stick with you on this one. I might have a hard time finding you once the show starts since ballet recitals are usually packed. This way we're already inside." He stood up, ready to follow him back.

"Very well...." Conrad was pretty easy going and he didn't mind that Aden tagged along.
Going back to the dance hall, with a few words and almost the same story he had given Jinafire, was soon watching a more older pair of students practicing a scene from 'Swan Lake" the girls' instructor had informed him the Jinafire's piece would be this one, based on the level of difficultly, and that her partner was none other then the young man on the stage.
Conrade watched them perform completely captivated. "Yes...this would be perfect for her." Ironic, considering that the 'Swan' dies in the end. This seemed to put the Reaper a little out of sorts. After that practice he sighed. his thought truned inwards almost sad.

Yes Junafire would be playing the part of the White Swan in Swan Lake, and it was her biggest piece ever. That's why she had wanted her dancing to be perfect. Aden looked over at Conrad as he was told what her part was going to be, and he placed a calming hand on his shoulder to try and remind him that they were there for a job, not to feel sentimental. "I'm sure that she'll do splendidly."
