yup. nuff said. mrgreen
Argh...they changed the age on the youngbloods painting competition to 14 this year. It used to be 16, and this would have been my only chance to have won that award. Oh well, with the way my Dreadnought's turning out, I might be able to win the best large model, or Forgeworld best of show. I'll get it posted once I've finished re-painting it. I'm re-painting it so I can get more detail in it and do the whole thing with blending techniques instead of Drybrushing.

Blending instead of drybrushing? Heck. I usually do both. Lol. But I drybrush so much. A nifty technique. Not gunna lie. Use it all the time. So. I haven't been on for a few days now. How has everyone one been?

started on my hive tyrant,(wish I could get some paint to stay on in certain places...don't know why it runs off) sweatdrop
Can't figure out what weapons to give him I know I'm giving him a bonesword and lashwhip...but what else? Barbed Strangler, Venom cannon, Or scything talons?
ran out of bodies for scenic bases....and lost a camera (really wish I could find that)
and It's only monday....on the bright side though I made a figure for Krin (Isis and strider you know what I'm talking about) I put all the scenic base terrain, stacked on top of each other like a city rubble pile, The funny thing Is if you saw it you would swear it was on a med. to large base. Also krin is standing on top of all the rubble making him a bit taller than a carnifex...

Yeah Drybrudhing and wetbrushing are my main techniwques, but my blending is usually reserved for special occasions.

FLCLfan89 yes I always prime my model black before painting it I have run into this kinda thing befor, and it sucks. I might beable to help figure out whats going on. So here are a couple odd questions; Whos brand of spray/brush on primer did you use? Is it paint or is it primer ? If its paint, is it glossy or matte finish ? Could it be ink ? Ink loves to do that. >_< And finely the most odd question of them all. What is the Temperature and/or humiduty like in the room ? A humid room doesnt let the paint dry like it should. Believe it or not, taking a wharm model with a under coat of matte spray, then over coating it with a glossy spray at a much colder temp will cause the top color to crack as it drys...strange but looks really cool on tanks.

I live in florida It is always humid even when it's 51 F***ing degrees outside.... The room I paint in has no heat or air conditioning. I suppose its a gloss paint I use the cheap-o "apple" stuff as primer (you know the stuff you get at wal-mart for 44 cents) That might be the problem But my friend has encountered it too so he plans for one layer of white primer followed by a black primer.

I agree with Tiki, FLCL. Just prime it to death. And then it's usually fine with paint. Not a big deal. -shrugs- Ak. So tired. Love to stay and chat. But. Bed. Yes. Nice.

I live in Florida to ! I know what you mean about the temp and humidity. Apple barrel paints will say gloss on the bottle, it's matte other wise, I use them quite heavily myself. Since your useing apple barrel paints sake the ever living crud out of the bottle. It sound like the paint may have seperated some. Also try lightly going over the area in question with a nail file. The surface may be to smooth to allow the paint to stick. I use Krylon fusion spray paint to prime all of my models, it works awesome because its meant to stick to plastic. speaking of priming models, I primed ALL of my Tyranids to day. Any one care to guess how many of the littlle mosters I have ? whee
