KalethTaithu looked up as the holo-image flickered to life. Davth had a few bruises, but she knew he was no damsel in distress, and there ought to have been some good reason why he hadn't fought back. There was more to this situation than met the eye... "Ah, here is our pirate of ill repute that we have heard so much about. Dawson, your name was? My name is Master Taithu of the Je'daii council. I cannot speak for some of our squabbling councilors, but I am ready to discuss terms with you. What I find curious about this situation is why you have come to us first rather than the Empire, who certainly would have provided far more compensation for a live captive. You believe that the Je'daii have something to offer you that the Empire does not. I understand that you have already discussed your terms with Master Stone and the others, so would you care to do us the same courtesy? What is it that you want from us, and why have you taken such desperate measures rather than approach us peacefully?" Her words were civil, but her voice was cold steel. She was willing to hear him out, but she wondered what Davth's role in all of this was, and how he had gotten himself captured in the first place. Now was not time for such questions, and she remained silent on the matter. [quote=

Delirium of Dreams "Ill repute? I am afraid that you have me mistaken with some one else my dear. Was it not I who returned your Grandmaster? Am I not the one who has come to you with this je'daii as opposed to turning him over to the Empire? I suspect someone has been speaking of me in an unkind light, was it the boy? Is he mad that I made a pass on his little girlfriend, here I thought your lot was above all that." Dawson shook his head and let out a sigh. "I suppose I can not blame him, but to sully my good name. Now I do apologize for roughing up your friend here, but I must make it clear that I mean business. Master Taithu, and the various other Master of the Je'daii council, my name is Dawson, Captain if you would be so kind. I am here today on behalf of the Flame of Vahl, call them my extended family or pirates if you find that term more fitting for it is certainly accurate." He smiled uncrossing his arms and beginning to speak with his hands as well as his words. "Your man here, Master Terva as he is known to me, was captured deep withing the confides of one of my compounds. One that has managed to stay hidden from the Empire for the past three decades, and I for one would like to keep it that way. I have footage of this man entering with a crew of trandoshan slavers, who were very much terrified of him, leaping to his every command with out question. They traveled deep into the compound, to a point where I must regretabbly say there was no security cams. Something happened there, that left the Master and only a handful of Trandoshans alive, I suspect they released prisoners in some barbaric attempt to please there goddess and it did not go as they had planned. My men noticed this fighting and intervened, sadly the last trandoshan would not surrender and was put down. I stepped in one I received a call and a transmission containing the holo recording of the capture." He paused letting that all sink in with the je'daii council. "Now I am a business man, and its not good business to have incidents like this you see? So you ask why I come to you as opposed to the Empire? Simply put they would not help me, pay me certainly but then they would torture and eventually kill your friend and that is no good to me. Master Stone has mentioned to me that you all may recover his memories," he paused once more raising his fist and raising the index finger "I ask to be there for this, to hear with my own ears the name of the diseased womp rat who sold out his brothers. Secondly I ask that you and yours turn a blind eye to my men's activities, we are not exactly friends of the Empire and I suspect your lot may be the best bet in getting rid of them, we would rather not waste precious rescourse's fighting with you when we have a semi common enemy. I would also ask for one of your sabers, I hear it is supposedly the life of the je'daii who weilds it. I would say it is a fair trade for your friends life no? I have one more term to be discussed in private, but that is a matter for another time."

Kaleth Ryo stepped forward beside Elyria and Corvin and cleared his throat, drawing the pirate's gaze to him. "I have another deal for you, oh mighty and all powerful Dawson. You can turn the je'daii over to our friends here..."He indicated the chamber around him. "Or I can have my advanced fighter, that is currently cloaked somewhere in close proximity to your ship, weapons primed, blow you and your sith girlfriend into space dust. It doesn't matter how quick your friends on the planet below you are, you'll be dead before they even leave atmo. Frankly I don't care if this Davth lives or dies, but I am sick of this druk. You have 5 minutes to give me a yes before I give it the green light." Pulling up his sleeve he revealed a control panel attached to a band around his wrist. He'd had the ship trailing them ever since they'd left Voss. He hadn't said anything to the other Je'daii but it looked like his idea had paid off.

KalethMaster Taithu calmly held up one hand to cast a Force Stun on the man threatening the pirate. When this mess was over she was going to have a stern word with Master Stone about bringing strangers to Tython again... "Control yourself. No one is going to be blasted into space dust. Masters, I would request that this man be searched and placed in a holding cell until the duration of the meeting. He has brought a cloaked advanced striker to our planet without informing us, and he must be debriefed and ruled out as a potential spy before he can disrupt the council any further."She hadn't even had time to think about Dawson's words... the man's threats of terrorism had shaken her, and she did not wish to discuss anything until this issue was dealt with.

Kaleth Ryo batted the force stun away with a small force push. The time for hiding who he was had passed it seemed. These foolish Je'daii and their bickering were getting on his nerves. He glared at the councillor who'd attempted to subdue him. "I'd really rather not have to put your guards in the infirmary Master Je'daii. And last I checked the pirate there isn't above this planet. He's at his not-so-secret stronghold. So my ship is of no threat to you. Now..."He turned back to the pirate. "4 minutes left."

Delirium of Dreams "My my, you say you can destroy me? Much better men have tried, and here I stand. I tell you what lad, I'll make this even easier for you to try." He turned his back to the projector and keyed in a command. There was a dull drone as the engines powered down. "If you live to finish your count take your free shot. You'd better home it manages to kill me, because I will not be as merciful. I'll let you all deal with this little terrorist, and then we shall return to our discussion." He smiled crossing his arms on his chest and leaning back against the control console. ((Phone, I'll add color later))

I'll let you all deal with this little terrorist, and then we shall return to our discussion." Snorting derisively at the pirate he turned back to him. "You're calling me a terrorist but last I checked you murder and pillage. Killing you wouldn't exactly be an act of terrorism. Get rid of the fake bravado. You're not a god and you don't have an eventuality for everything. Even someone as powerful as you can be brought down with a push of a button. Oh!, and just as a heads up, I have programmed the ship to destroy you should anything untoward happen to me or this wristpad. It's carrying enough fire power to level a star destroyer right now so, if you place any value on your life or the life of the little mute you have on board, I suggest you don't test me."Swinging back to the council he glared at them. "Looks like I just solved your problem in a fraction of the time your pathetic squabbling took. I was expecting more of Je'daii."

Arist could help but laugh. It was a deep loud laugh that echoed throughout the chamber. When he clamed down a little, he wiped a tear from his eye. "I'm sorry but I can't help but laugh at those with no sense. You see, by endanger Davth you would gain nothing but enemies. And I am afraid, you are surrounded by no friends that would help you in this pinch if you were to try anything. So just go back pretending your a potential ally stranger like that other Sith that was here a while ago. Or if you want we can just cut out the middle man and call you dead man walking. Because at this point I can go both ways, so how about it stranger? You think you can take on seven Je'daii master's?"
Arist then leaned forward in his seat as if ready to jump out of it. "Your move stranger, and remember no matter how this situation may turn out for us, you will be getting the worst of it."Unfortunately Arist was hoping that the stranger that was before them would try something. The fighter thing that the stranger was talking about, Arist was not sure it was a bluff or if it was real. But bluff or not, he knew that his wasn't a fake one.

Kaleth There was a blur of movement from Ryo's position followed by a snapping hiss as a lightsaber ignited. The orange glow of his saber lit up the underside of Arist's chin as Ryo held it from behind him. "Understand this "Master", I have never once pretended to be an ally to you or your fellow je'daii. I came here because it suited me, no other reason. Frankly I don't need to take all of you on, just do what i'm doing right now. Now let me ask you something. What enemies would we make by blowing up a pirate scumbag? Hm? I'm sure the empire is going to hunt us down and murder us for that. Oh wait they already are. I certainly won't be making an enemy of sir Dawson. He'd be dead. So really, why don't you use YOUR brain and less of your mouth."

This is not the time nor place for battle! Elyria was behind him in the blink of an eye..she tried to get a Force grip on his arm to pull it from Master Arist, but she couldn't get her angle right...she was behind him... LET HIM GO!!!! she couldn't believe what was happening.....

Kaleth "LOGAN!...STAND DOWN! This is not the time nor place for battle! LET HIM GO!!!!"Ryo snapped his saber off and in a moment he was down beside Corvin and Mizu again. "Don't worry Master Stone, I had no intention of harming your loud mouthed friend. I was merely making a point. Your council can sneer and be derisive as it pleases but you're still no closer to getting your friend back. The lot of you are spineless cowards, unwilling to do what needs to be done. Since when does one man's life outweigh the hundreds if not thousands you hold here? Meanwhile This "pirate" thinks he can get what he wants with a snap of his fingers. So you're just going to hand over the location of this planet to a murderer and trust that when this is all over he isn't raiding what's left of you, assuming the empire falls?"Turning back to the holoscreen he stared the Zeltron down. "I've stared into an abyss that's far deeper and far darker than anything you're capable of Dawson, and i'm still here. Be VERY careful not to under-estimate your enemies."

Kaleth Master Arist had done little to endear himself to Corvin, who was fairly certain Ryo wouldn't harm Elyria, so the scoundrel decided to let those events play out while he took advantage of this opportunity to finally get something done. He turned instead to the holo... "You're a scoundrel, and a clever one besides. I'd have been surprised if you didn't make a pass at my girlfriend..." he used the word ironically, an attempt to mimic the pirate's mockery, but couldn't help enjoying how the word sounded. "Though you'll want to drop the patronizing nonsense, Dawson. You might be interested to know that I told the council we had common interests, and should negotiate..." Here he motioned to the commotion between Arist and Ryo and continued "but as you can see, threats, posturing and demands are poor tactics in these times of uncertainty. You want to know about Davth's memories? So do we. You could easily have taken Master Terva's lightsaber, but you know damned well you need training to use it so there's no sense in us giving you one without you first accepting a Master. Why don't we all stop flinging bantha dung and find a place to meet and discuss this like adults?"

Kaleth
Arist couldn't help but smile as if completely unfazed by the fact that a lightsaber was so close to taking his head and he said, "I sing a great tune, don't I stranger?" Arist asked, but before an answer could be given he added, "I only say this because you have been dancing to it ever so well to it. Not only have you laid bare you intentions, but you think very little of your next action.""And if you are still wondering if I am using my brain, I have from the beginning." Arist stood up and began walking around to get to the stairs that lead him down towards the same level as the stranger. "Now you see Davth is on that pirate ship, if you kill him by blowing up that ship. We won't be able to help Davth, but I have one question for you if you want to answer it. Who's going to save you from us?" Arist's lightsaber was in his hand, but kept it unlit and out of sight from others. One more hostile move would seal the strangers fate. "And Corvin, I see you over there. You have more pressing concerns such as your friend that you brought us. Dawson will have to wait a moment so that we can settle this dispute for it has already gone out of hand."

Kaleth "I have a word of advice for you "Master" Arist. Put your lightsaber away before you hurt yourself. I have not given you any indication towards my intentions so stop prattling about things you know nothing about. You would tell me that you plan on sacrificing an entire planet for one man who may or may not be trustworthy? The more you talk the more foolish you make yourself sound. The only thing I have "laid bare" is that I can use the force. Something that anyone with any deal of skill, in this room, would have noticed as soon as they saw me. The last I checked you do not speak for the entirety of the council. So to put it bluntly. Shut up."
