So I chose something I know rather a lot about; aspergers.
I just have no motivation to write it... 」 Oooooh Smart idea. 3nodding I know how that can be.. *had no motivation for anything today* 「 I BARELY managed to finish the paper in time to be about ten minutes late for the technical deadline and the teacher had decided to wait for me, so I still managed to turn the paper in.

That's good to have confirmation on.
*low social intelligence* 」 Ah, perhaps. I think it depends on the person. ^^ Anyways, yeah. Some people just don't read social cues, facial expressions, emotions, ect. I think it has partially to do with how a person is raised and such. Sometimes people just don't have enough of the right interactions or something. Like, my bf for example. Now days, he's really good with people, but when I first met him, there was a lot he didn't understand. He was home schooled for 7 years so he didn't get to interact much with his peers, and the adults in his life were the "Wait your turn to speak. Speak when you are spoken to." types.  「 Well, apparently his mother was a "Mountain lion" mother.
Not a "Tiger mom", but a step above that.
According to him (said with a tiny laugh) a lot of things were "beaten" (I assume not literally) into him so he would do them.
Wow.
Well, though I was homeschooled for....nine years, I had everything explained to me...
Any part of me not understanding came from me having aspergers.
Never liked the "Speak when spoken to" types... 」

How are you doing? 」 Oh you know, hating work, missing friends, general ennui. But, I've been rather creative lately! I sewed a dress! And am about halfway finished with my first cosplay with a second one on the drawing board. It just depends on deciding if I want to splurge extra time and effort making a custom print or just settle on something that's not a close match but has all the right colors.

XD My mom was similar... only.. she quite literally hit me. ^^" But being "a mountain lion mother" I would assume she was/is also a protective and caring sort as well. Large cats can be very cautious about there young if I remember right. :3 I see. Yeah, his parents seemed to explain some things, but there are just some things you have to learn naturally, by practice and stuff. I don't care much for them either. I'd want my kids to wait their turn, sure, but you have to have a balance. ^^

If karma exists and is just, that woman will die just as she did to that baby bird....
Today... my little brother rushed from my apartment at the word from a friend that some kids were poking a baby bird with a stick, in the courtyard of our apartment complex. So I followed.
He picked the bird up and took it away from the kids who had swarmed around it, loudly making a fuss about it. The kids told me that there was a second baby bird, that had hurt its foot when the two fell out of their nest on/in the roof of the nearby apartment building. The manager of the complex said to throw it away. So they did.
My little brother put the remaining baby into a box with a blanket. It constantly chirped for it's mother. The baby was a fledgling, so even if we could get it back to it's nest, it would likely hop out again. At this point, the best thing to do would be to put it in a shrub close by it's nest, where it's parent's could still feed it and keep it out of harms way.
I told the kids this. Most of them listened and went on their way playing elsewhere. One kid, aside from my little brother who insisted on "Taking care" of the baby bird, wouldn't stay away, and wouldn't listen to anyone. I told him that if he didn't keep his distance, the mother would never come back, and the baby would starve. He didn't move, nor care. I told my little brother and the others, again, to leave it alone. My brother tried to keep his distance, until the other boy attempted, repeatedly, to kill the little fledgling. So my brother brought it into our apartment until the other kids had to go inside. But by then it was dark. And every time my brother took it outside, he'd come back with some excuse to keep it. But keeping a baby bird is very risky. They have to be fed every couple hours, and if you feed them the wrong thing, they will die. They also have to be taught to fly, and keep away from predators. The best thing to do, even now, is leave him outside, where he can chirp for his mother as soon as the sun comes up; before the kids can bother him anymore.
We finally got him to leave the baby outside. But now he refuses to not keep an eye on it. As you can tell, it's late at night and he won't come in.
He called me in distress shortly ago, to tell me something even worse.
The second baby bird, whom the children threw away, wasn't thrown away alive. It wasn't left in a trash can where the mother and father birds may still have been able to save it. They took it to one of their parents, who then proceeded to snap it's neck because she didn't know how to take care of it.
Since when can people KILL a baby bird, in cold blood, with such stupidity and naivety, and not have a second thought about it. Why the hell wouldn't you look up what to do!? How is killing it an OK solution, because you're too damn lazy!? Since when do we have such little regard for life...
