Well Piper won't go see Mel until her parents leave. So it all kind of fits in a weird plot going way.
Start saying your goodbyes to Raziel.
And yes, they will be back from time to time...they have a trade route and what not. So technically, if you wanted to keep Raziel, he can visit anytime via the portal...once I set it up.
