And neither do other overworld monsters. I've always theorized that the items/currency are gotten from gutting the opponent...because they eat adventurers. Like living piggy banks.

beholder is effectivly maimed/dead. that leave the beetle, and teh hook horror, adn those fear glob thingies. but..okay I'll put in a post yep yep.
