Vertigo_Kiwi I'm afraid that I'll start crying (or pass out) from the pain. I'm just a 'lil 100-pounder...I'm sure being tiny means I can't handle pain too well. But, it's something I really want, so the pain will be worth it. (if I don't pass out and smash my head on the floor or anything). Some people are more tolerant to pain than others, regardless of size. I've heard, though, that placement also has an effect on the pain while getting it done. The closer bone is under the skin where you're getting it done, the more it hurts. At least that's what my friends with tattoos have told me. On a completely different tangent, I've realized that just about 90% of the music I like came out at least a decade before I was born, if not further back. This is just one of the many signs that I was born into the wrong decade.

I plan on getting the tattoo on my inner wrist, but it'll be small and probably won't take longer than 20 minutes. I also plan on having a friend there with me, so I guess I won't be alone or anything. I really shouldn't be too nervous about this. I can imagine things going completely wrong, but it's very unlikely any of those things will actually happen.
edit: I also love music from other decades, though sometimes it goes back to the 1950's. cool

I'm a worrier, as well. I'm sure I'll be freaking myself out when I go to get my tattoos done. Mine will probably end up on my back somewhere, and somewhere on my lower legs.
I can't even imagine what I'll be like when I go to get my tongue pierced.

Henry Dorsett Case Vertigo_Kiwi I'm super nervous and excited, tomorrow I'll be getting my first tattoo!!! Eeek!!!! hehe. Nifty. I've got some ink m'self. Don't worry; it only hurts for a couple weeks. wink I dont have a tatoo, I think the scars I have and where they are and why are enough of a topic. But if I was going to get one, it would be a sea green dragon on my back. I was born the year of the Dragon, in case anyone is wondering. And no, I do not mess with astrology, but that is an awesome sign to have. A Libran Dragon. What a mix indeed.

I'm 6'4" and I weigh a mere 154 lbs, despite Fiddler's protestations to the contrary (he thinks I'm lighter, but every scales, including the doctors {and I've been recently}, I've been on says otherwise). It didn't hurt except where it crossed the bone. It's not a particularly pleasant experience, but it doesn't hurt. Just very uncomfortable. Unless you resist, then it hurts. Just let the pain flow over you. AngryRobotsInc. Some people are more tolerant to pain than others, regardless of size. When I first came in today, that sentence is all I saw. Without context. And I have a very filthy mind. And myself and Astenwroth were..... never mind. AngryRobotsInc. The closer bone is under the skin where you're getting it done, the more it hurts. At least that's what my friends with tattoos have told me. I agree. I have two, with a third overdue, one on the bottom of my spine and one on my arm. The one on the bottom of my spine was excrutiating. I spent days in pain. The one on my arm didn't hurt as soon as I realised that it wasn't hurting. For a while, when I expected it to hurt, it hurt. Then I stopped, breathed and it was fine.

I wonder if the hand or the face would actually be more painful. I know having a needle pierce the skin on the top of the hand is never my favorite place for an iv. There are just some pains that are a little hard to ignore.

So, who are you going to call as your defense? Jesus, he's all about striking down the laws.. Besides, I've got an airtight allibi. Me and him were packing a bowl and toking up talkin about how nobody understands him, love and peace and how the God of Abraham keeps riding his coat tails.

Well, I guess I have to change my prosecutor from Fallwell to Phelps. Phelps might be able to confuse both Jesus and the jury long enough. And then claim that I had nothing to do with it. ninja

jaden kendam Yeah, you know what Cuchullain, your dirty mind is infectious. I was trying my best to not thing anything filthy today, but you know, once the thought is there, it does not like to leave. I have so many dirty quips for that. But there are children present. jaden kendam I wonder if the hand or the face would actually be more painful. Yup. From what I hear, and my friend has just finished her apprenticeship: The face is the worst. The palms of the hands and the bottom of the feet come close. The back of the spine. Then any given bone. Then flesh. jaden kendam I know having a needle pierce the skin on the top of the hand is never my favorite place for an iv. There are just some pains that are a little hard to ignore. The reason that the iv hurts is it's going into a vein, it's piercing much much further and deeper than a tattoo needle and it's punching through much more sensitive nerve tissue.
