Lute smiled some, feeling the dog move, Apollo licking Chloe's fingers lovingly. "He's my pet. He's been with me since I can remember. I've trained him all by myself. It was rather hard." he said, petting the large dog on the head. Apollo looked to his master, his bushy tail wagging happily at the attention.

Chloe nodded and continued to pet Apollo. She smiled and leaned forward, kissing him on the nose and looking down into the dog's eyes. She looked back up to Lute as he spoke again. "If you want, I can show you two the ways around the castle so that Apollo can guide you wherever you are," she offered. "I grew up here."

Lute smiled, hearing Apollo sneeze from the kiss. He then looked to Chloe and nodded some. "That would be lovely of you. Me and Apollo are quite new so we need to learn the grounds."

Chloe smiled and touched Lute's arm softly. "Well, we can start now. You've already found the music practice rooms, clearly. And I'm hoping you found the dorm rooms, either that or you slept somewhere else last night."

Lute looked down to the touch on his arm as she spoke and he smiled. "No, a boy helped me find my room. His name was Razz. Great guy." he said nodding some, approving of Razz.

Chloe stared at Lute for a moment, before retracting her hand and continuing to stare. "Great guy and Razz are antonymous," she responded, disbelief in her voice. "He's... Well, maybe not evil, but he's kinda mean."

Lute looked to Chloe curiously. "Mean? I don't know why you'd say that. He have me directions to my room last night." he said, scratching his head, confused.
[OOC:] What if, to stay 'popular', Razz tells everyone that Lute is blind and many start picking on him. The Yumi comes in and clocks him, getting all the bullies to stop.

[OOC:] That is deliciously mean. I like it. "He's always picked on Yumi and I; he and his group of friends are always trying to be popular, and they'll do anything to be so."
Razz walked over to his group of friends, an excited smirk on his face as he sat down. "I got the news on the new guy," he said, immediately shutting everyone up as they looked to him, waiting for explanation. "He's blind. Scarred up eyes and all. Can't do s**t without that dog of his."

Lute's smile died down some. "Oh... Then I guess I told him something I shouldn't have." he said getting to his feet, Apollo following suit. He then looked to Chloe. Or at least near where he had been sitting. "Miss Chloe, do you think you could come with me to my room? I fear the trip there will not be friendly." he said, trying not to show his worry and fear. He didn't want to be picked on anymore. But it seemed inevitable now.

Chloe stood, as well, opening the door. "I understand. C'mon, we'll head down now. Don't worry; nobody can get away with anything if I'm around. They'll be in for it big time," she promised, a hint at the fact that she was a princess, though she was always reluctant to share that fact with newcomers.

Lute smiled some, looking to the noise of the door opening. He gently grabbed onto Apollo's collar, heading to the door. "Such authority and power in that sweet voice. I'm positive you're royalty." he said with a small laugh, coming out into the hallway.

Chloe blushed just the slightest at his comment about having a sweet voice, but she just shook her head in disbelief. "And to think I always believed that the eyes were the window to the soul, not the voice."

Lute laughed once more. "And when one cannot see through that window, they find other means. Mine is my hearing, naturally. Since I have no sight." he said, waiting for the princess to start off their small, hopefully peaceful, walk.

Chloe began to walk, Apollo and Lute right behind him. "That's a wonderful way to live," she commented softly. "I don't think I could last a day without my ears."

Lute nodded some, smiling. "I would not dare wish such a fate upon you. For without your ears, beautiful music would be lost." he said, smiling, before he stopped where two halls made a four way intersection. She glanced around, grimacing. Something didn't feel right and it was starting to worry him, but he quickly caught up to Chloe's footsteps. "May I request we speed up? The atmosphere is changing for the worse."
