"Nothing to say," she thought, rolling her eyes. She hated the way he made her feel! One minute she missed him so, then the next she hated his guts. She spoke on the later feeling. "No," she said. "I'm sorry, I can't go." She refused to go.

Shagatsu kept drinking his drink. "If you really dont want to go...." He said. "Listen we cant keep doing this. I know you hate me or something, but its just too akward to be around each other now and I feel so terrible everytime I see you. What should we do? I know this is probably the simplest of answers... and I know your probably going to be angry at something I just said... Because im not good at articulating what I want to say with words... Because I didnt have a normal upbringing... But what should we do?" He asked, knowing he would get an angry or curt answer from her.

"I don't know, okay," she confessed. Tora sat her tea down and looked Shagatsu in the eye. "It's my fault, alright," she confessed again. "Everything's my fault!" Tora shook her head and clenched her jaw. "I'm still mad, yes. Shagatsu, I loved you! You ripped out my heart when you started dating Omny. I'm just confused." Tora crossed her arms and looked at her lap. "I just don't want to do or say anything to you because you're Omny's now," she added, looking away.

"Its not all your fault! I should have known that you loved me! I should have realized... But I guess I didnt. But that doesnt mean I hate you or anything! I still have feelings for you! I just hope we can still be friends through all of this because it would kill me to loose a friend like you. Besides, It could be worse... I mean I could be dating another man. Or even worse, your Okiya mother..." He said with a small smile.

Tora didn't smile. "Things will never be the same- I've got to face that. I just- I don't feel right after this whole thing. Omny's right, it is my fault. I should have known you didn't love me because you never said anything!" she said strongly. "I don't want to lose you either," she said, starting to lose her grip, "but you're with Omny now and I can never look at you or feel for you in the same way again," she added, tears starting to fall.

"NO!" He said, now shouting a little. "I will not let this get the better of you! My feelings for you havent changed at all! And I havent changed at all either! And its nobodies fault! NO ONES! We all mess up sometimes, but thats no reason to loose a friend. We all have to go through loss sometimes, but thats just a part of life..." He said trailing off at the end. He paused for a few minutes. "Can we still be friends? I apologize for all I have put you through. I hope we can both go through this coming out the same people we once were..."

Tora began to cry. "Of course your feelings never changed," she said giving a synical laugh. "It's because you didn't love me! How could I have been so blind?" she thought. She wiped her tears and swallowed the knot in her throat. "I'm sorry for being so stupid," she said through sniffles. Tora shook her head and tried to gather her thoughts. "His feelings never changed, so I'll have to make mine," she thought. "Friends..." she nodded, trailing off. That's all they were to begin with. Tora sighed and looked out of a window.

Shagatsu sighed. "I never wanted to actually say I loved you because I thought it would hurt you more, but I actually do love you. Thats how my feelings are. You can twist me around and tell yourself I feel one way or another, but I can only try to convince someone of the truth for so long." He said and threw down the cup, walking down the hallway towards the door.

"This is what's confusing me so much!" she yelled out. "I just don't see how you can love two people at once! You chose Omny and that's just something I'll have to deal with," she cried. "I'm trying as hard as I can!" she belted. Now that she knew the truth, it was hurting her. She'd just have to simmer her feelings for Shagatsu and just be friends. But how could she?
