I had a moment like that last year. I had to go to the airport to fly back to California, but I forgot my wallet (with my passport, money, and key in it) so I was rushing back to get it, and I called one of my roommates to meet me at the streetcar station (it's a 10 minute walk to the main station, but only 2 minutes by streetcar) and I was about thirty seconds from arriving at our small station when I saw her sprint past and run back where I had just been. @______@
@ Lone -- Your opinion doesn't count?
I think time skips are good for plot's sake. And I think a lot of us have really young characters, and characters who could use a major shift that would take too long to roleplay out.

@Loli: Well, not as much as "does count" Then "I dont really have one/would rather be the tie breaker".
But yeah, the skip would be good for the amount of kids appearing on the island.But we had a skip only last month, and... yeah ^^;
Edit@Prudence: No, by "young" we mean under 13.
Also, what's up with you and absolutely wanting a character that's gay? razz

I kinda confused with the timeskips.
So, whenever we decide on a month to timeskip it would be five years into the roleplay?
Did I get that right?

@Tera: The roleplay right now is in Year 5. We had a 2 year skip from year 2 to year 5 last April. There was supose to be another one happening in January, which would be the end of Year 6 giving a jump in the future of 5, 8, 10 or 12 years, since this RP is meant to be crossgenerational.

Belated -- Although I'd be up for September, I also don't mind waiting until January. Maybe make a poll?
@ Tera -- Usually we have time skips at the end of a roleplay year. Year 5 roleplay time ends in August, making September a potential time for a skip (leaping to year 11 or higher). Or we could wait until the end of the next year, which would be in January.
And it would be a minimum of five years. It could be eight or ten or twelve, too. It's because our last skip was only two years, and it didn't shake things up too much, so we'll be going for a longer one.

@Loli. Yes, Poll. Definitely. But, I'll wait a couple of week or so before. I'd like Anji and Laura who are both away until the end of June to be able to vote.... Or just keep the poll up for a while o-o
changing subject. I'm planning on Makinhim Yoakim in his 30-40's, more so because it fits than because I like it (damn you, Manly man in a Girly Anime world), but... is it me or... He could be Xiero's brother?

@ Prudence -- A long time skip isn't the end of the world. At the longest (and I have a feeling it won't be any longer than 10 years) he'll still be in his early/mid-thirties. That's still young. o____o

And yeah, I think the poll would have to be up for a while, for members who are busy to vote, and for new members to have a say.
