Labcoat man smiled. "Mr. D'vinn.." He nodded respectfully.
"They all outline your specifics, I assure you Mr. D'vinn, just as you ordered from us a few months ago. Two men for strictly for battle; castrated of course, eight for both pleasure and battle. Ten women, all trained well in culinary arts, maitenence, and pelasure." His smile grew to something a psroud father would bestoe appon his children. "This model is fairly new, which is why we took our time in getting them to you. Only the best, for a customer as valued as yourself."

"Shoulders are a nice place to sit, be glad you get to sit on one so easily. Though he watched Piper as she took to walking wide around the place to get a glance at the front, probably eavesdropping slightly. "Hey didn't I tell you that that's not a nice thing to do?" He chuckled, ah to be a father.
Piper gave him one of those little kid defiant looks in turn as she turned her attention back to the moon elf as she walked back over to him and the fairy as well. "I was just seeing if I was right about that shipment." She crossed her arms. "I get fifty uncollared and he gets twenty more to recollar. I just can't win against him." Though then she got that look of getting a brilliant idea. "Hm, I have another deal for Mr. D'vinn...or rather me whining to get my fair share of things around here."
"What are you concocting in that head of yours between your pointy ears?" She was always up to something wasn't she?
"What? He likes deals."

"Good. however I woudl also like, since your hear, something special to put on order. I need something to really challenge my gladiators. something fierce, that can be used to train for team combat without risking four gladiators, only two. What can you suggest for that? and things have been rather hectic aroudn here. dealings with Deepwater and another pirate drow, the Tournament and such. remind me what the price on these was again?"
He didn't trust these...he knew they woudl do thier tasks..but thier eyes. that wasn't broken. that was lifeless. like a machine. that coudl prove a hinderance from a valid standpoint, a machine doesn't think outside of what it's programed. And..lifeless, since learning about the lich..coudl mean a potential danger could be coming in his house.

The man with thick glasses and a raincoat scribbled on his clipbaord with a pincil. "I'll see what I can do for you, Mr. D'vinn. Do you want this to be human, or more animalistic?" He tapped the end of the pecil to his chin. "We can probably do both." He made some more scribbles, notes of some kind.
He smiled. "We are mass producing these ones now. So they are fairly cheap, straight off the belt. Fiftey steel pieces a head." He made a bit of a face. "The worth of gold has hit a magor downslide since those dwarves hit a mine down south, practically found a hundred acers of ore." He shook his head. "Soemone made the mistake of letting the rest of us know about. But, if steel is unavailable at this time, then gold will be fine. A hundred a head."
Blue peeked around the corner with the rest of them, soaking up information and detail like a computer. "Oh my, how interesting. Gold becoming worthless? Who would have ever though."

Of course from where Blue was sitting, he lost his view as Kieran moved to nto look anymore. Seemed he had lost interest in the whole things. Personally he didn't prefer the slave trade business, but it wasn't his thing so why meddle or worry about it. "Gold being worthless really isn't so odd. Everyplace has it's own form of currency. In my younger days of wanderlust and adventuring I recall coming across a place where the currency was sand grains..."
"Bet that was one heck of a thing to count out."
"Indeed it was."
Her attention also turned from Malik, mind have distracted on the little deal she had forming in her head for him. And anyway she never liked the slave thing...espcially when Malik 'shopped' for them. Ah no matter, she had her fifty uncollared. Piper crossed her arms lightly. "Steel is better anyway." Indeed it was.
"Mithril's better."
"Only if you can forge and work it right."

Kieran and Piper turned around soemwhat sudden;y, but it didn't seem to bother the girl that stood behind the two, watching them with eerily dead eyes. Her face was next to expresionless, the only colour in her face was a slight red tinge to her cheeks. The rest of her was grey as the dead. The colour and style of her hair was difficult to tell, it seemed to be covered in grit and slime, indeed a film covered her body, as if she had been neglected in some damp place. She wore the shear silks of a slave girl.
They turned, she stared, hands clasped behind her back.

Malik waved his hand non chalantly as if teh money really wasn't that big an issue. after all if it was, he wouldn't have forgotten in the first place.
"And I'd like to arrange if possible a meeting sometime between your boss and myself. there are some particular things I'm looking to experiment with and I want his ear on those, if it can be arranged. not anytime soon, I have a few other pressing appointments, but just to let him know."
He motioned for the slaves to neter the house.
"See Mistress Piper for your assignments."
She can decided wether to collar them or not. right now he planned on having them all collared for security anyway.
"In fact. wait here a moment, and I'll have payment ready for you."
Malik expected to be obeyed, after all it came with teh territory..and went inside to find steel peices. he knew where to get them, like a memory that had come back that never should have been there in the first place. strange. but downstairs to teh vaults that kept mundane things, and there were steel peices. in a dusty, not used hardly ever case. probably becuase gold was teh common currency now. this was saved over form before he assumed. and just enough to cover it too. a thousand peices of steel. hmm. he'd have to get more steel if the price of gold was dropping. something to look into.
Then back upstairs with the case, to hand it over to the assistant.

Kieran and Piper's sensitive ears had indeed made them turn and right now they exchanged glances.A glance at the girl, and then another between them. "Is she one of yours?"
Piper merely shook her head. "Um...no I don't believe so..." Not one of her fifty and she didn't have a collar. She looked half dead thought and that was quite the disturbing thing to say the least. A blink at her as she pretty much stood there in front of them. Maybe she was one of the new ones that wandered from the rest. "Um...can I do something for you?" Piper really didn't know what else to say at this moment. It was eerie.
Studying as always. She looked half dead, covered in...something he would rather not know what it was, but no doubt she was alive...probably by the barest definition of what it was to be alive, but thus so none the less.

He bowed happily. "Certainly, sir." And the slaves traveled inside as instructed, to wait for their new Mistress Piper. Then Malik came back with the money, and the man in the lab coat to it with a smile. "Always good doing buisness with you Mr. D'vinn. We'll elt you know when we have more available." he tapped the pencil to his chin, scribbled on his clipbaord. "I will see if I can't set something up, sir. We will be sure to keep in contact." Another small bow, clip bored tucked carefully under one arm, and simply walked off. No boats, no mounts, just his feet....and soon he simply faded away.
Her eyes blinked slwoly, stared at a place between the two elves. Hands still clasped, she bowed deeply from the waist, hair slipping in front of her shoulders, making a slick, slimey sound as it passed over her skin. She gave her head a light shake.
"No Mame." He voice was hollow, monotone.

Another look between elves. "Maybe you might want to get Malik, Pip?" Yes, this was indeed a little odd. Made for an awkward atmosphere. And frankly Kieran while used to servant types wasn't to keen on overly subserviant and short worded slaves.
Okay...she thought she was getting creeped out now. Piper gripped a hand to her collar, still a little lost at this. It wasn't that she had to play salve holder, it was just the girl's demeanor. At least the others she was used to showed some kind of fear or somthing, looked at the floor instead of stared. "Maybe..." Another blink from her. "Where did you come from?" That was step one. "And what's your name as well?" Step two.

She cast her eyes downward, kept her bow in place. "I come from the Corn Feilds. My name is Iris Bronwyn." She was a straight and still as bored, not moving, hardley even breathing. She talked almost as if she were bored of the whole situation.

Corn fileds...why did she have a feeling she really wasn't talking about corn? Easy, she was creepy. And well she knew enough about double sided words what with how her and Malik did it all the time on every available occasion. "Okay...and quit with the bowing..." How the hell did she hold that position so well anyway? That was further creepy.
Kieran? Quiet observing

She straightened as if her he waist were a hinge. "Yes Mame." She stood, stareing, watching them both. It wasn't like blue, who was interested and observant, but more like someone whon was waiting for something. That, or someone who was standing around because she had nothing else to do. She seemd to hold no interest in the new place she found herself in, nor perhaps how she got there. She offered no explinations, nothing but what had beena sked of her.

Malik came back inside, fingers drumming on teh hilt of Malvolence. Somethign wasn't right here. but Malvolence told him where to find Piper, adn that's where he headed, to see Piper, Kieran, and a very sickeningly dirty slave girl that had the same lifeless movements and look as the others. but she was not part of the twenty he'd bought. He walked over, moving past both the other elves and grabbing the grimey slave by the hair and jerking it back to look at him.
"How did you get in and why are you here? you are not one of the twenty I purchased nor are you one of those already here. not to mention you are disgusitingly filthy, somethign I do not tolerate in slaves."
His voice was cold, malicious, and before Piper coudl say a word, his hand was alreayd in a 'don't start' motion toward her.

Her neck went slack when he jerked her hair, offering complete submission. She stood as straight as she could managed, with her back curved backwards, upsetting her balance a fair bit. Hand still clasped behind her back. She did not look intimidated, but nore did she look confident. She was just there.
"I followed the others. They had forgotten me." She blinked a bit, and for a moment, it seemd as if thought may have flitted across her eyes. Perhaps she as pondering aobut what the rest he had said was a question that she could answer. In the end, it appeared that she did not think the questions were questions but statments, and she had no need to answer a statment. "Yes, sire."
