*Tavin blinks in with a broom in hand and simply keeps sweeping, even though theres obviously nothing to sweep up. He stops after a second and chuckles, then hoists the broom over a shoulder and sighs*

:::She fiddled with her wine glass, not sipping it, just using it to busy her hands while she thought of what to say:::
I met a stranger, that took me out of the Brink. He was forceful with me....and he said some very disturbing things. :::She considered her injuries::: I am physcially well now, but he was strong enough to harm me without trouble.
He spoke as though he knew you personally.

The Seraphim took you? Oh, Cora... I... I'm so sorry.... He hurt you? I'm so very sorry I wasn't there to protect you!!! I'll bet he really said some nasty things to you too.
*Tavin shakes his head*
Cora.... The Seraphim is a very dangerous Angel. He's very cunning, like a snake. He tries to strike you where you're weakest. I... had hoped that he couldn't get in here.... Its been so long since he last managed to get in....

*Tavin took a sip and leaned back in the chair*
What does he have you convinced that I'm hiding from you? A secret weapon that could destroy the universe? A horrible past of unimaginable terror? Perhaps elves that pop out of my head when the clock strikes midnight?

The Seraphim is in a caste above the position that I once held in Heaven with good reason. He's a very convincing person. But Cora... Just look at me. What have I been hiding from you? You know about me, about those in The Brink. I've always been gentle and kind to the people here. I've had nothing but respect and cheer for everyone. Do you really think that I'm plotting some terrible thing? Do you believe that I'm even capable of that? Would I destroy the world? Knowing..... my own family... my wife, my son... and my baby daughter are all there?

I don't want to believe anything he has said. This place is like my home, and the people here are the most important things I have... but in actuality, I know virtually nothing about it. I don't know very much about anything it seems, and yet I am willing to give my life protecting it, and everyone in it. That's a very powerful sentiment. What warrants that type of feeling? Is it safe to harbor, if it could be dangerous in the wrong hands?

Friendship is an emotion that warrants such response, as does love. When you care for something deeply, even logic can be clouded. But that isn't necessarily wrong. To deny your emotions is wrong, Cora. Our emotions are truly what make us human, what makes us individuals. Like this flower. Its a beautiful thing, and it belongs in our hearts.
