Yes. But not for luck, or anything. I once owned a velvet pouch containing old, big Canadian pennies, and sometimes they would rub together as I took them out of the bag to investigate them. Large cent coins were minted from 1858 until 1920, when they were replaced by the small cent coin

Yes. It is a LED night light and it shines on an analog clock, in our bedroom, so we can check on the time in the middle of the night.
